We stayed at the ocean villa, which consists of one larger house and a smaller house located about one block away from main vista hermosa establishment, we were in the smaller unit. It is my understanding from Judy that if you rent the larger house the price includes the smaller house, however I would verify before booking, we loved our little cottage. The pool was nice and warm, even in January and has a beautiful view of the ocean below. The house itself was perfect. Nice compact kitchen, comfortable bed and linens, and cold ac. I think the best part of our stay was Judy herself, Who was an entertaining helpful host that offered us spot on tips and itinerary suggestions. One of the trips That we had arranged through her, the bio bay excursion was one of the magical highlights of our trip. It was also priced much lower than other trips and involved far less travel time, included in the price was also pick up and drop off from our little cottage! Her help is genuine, not just someone trying to sell you an overpriced tourist trap. We enjoyed our lovely meals and had booked one of her dinner’s in advance (must prearrange), which was delicious and priced competitively. My husband and I had the amazing opportunity to stumble across this hidden gem! The views around this bed and breakfast are absolutely amazing and the staff treat you like family! The house was fabulous and the AC in our room was cold!!! Would recommend to all!!!

Look no more. This is definitely the place to stay in the area. The grounds at the bed and breakfast are immaculately groomed and cared for. The bed-and-breakfast is very clean. The owner Judy is Hands-On and is involved with your booking and during your stay to make sure you are having a great time. Judy is a wealth of information and knows the area very well and can make all kinds of recommendations to suit your needs. She's a wonderful cook. Breakfast is provided every morning with lots of variety. She will also cook dinner for you . you do have to advise her in advance and make reservations. She offers a good selection of options and is a wonderful cook. You will definitely enjoy your stay here for sure.

Judy is a fantastic host and has an immaculate, lovely home. She's a great guide, chef, and just fun to be with. She took us on an ATV tour and only got stuck in the river mud once! She's well connected in the community and able to make great recommendations. Her other guests were young Swedes and Germans who were such a pleasure to get to know and spend time with. We rented a car which made lots of beaches accessible within minutes. We listened to the Howler monkeys in the early morning and otherwise enjoyed peace and quiet. Our other option was to stay in Santa Teresa where the surfers party and hang out. I'm glade we chose Vista Hermosa. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

The owner Judy is helpful, responsive, and is likely the best cook in the area. We enjoyed the dinners and breakfasts she prepared. I especially appreciated the rum and cokes after long days of driving dirt roads. The property is immaculately clean and kept up. I spent two very relaxing nights at this b&b.

Great find in Tambor. Judy the owner is brilliant. Incredibly knowledgeable about the area. Judy is very proactive - gets in touch pretty quickly after you book to see if she can help with trips - let her help you - she's great. Stayed for 5 days including Xmas (makes you feel welcome and let us join her Xmas dinner with her fun friends). Her food is pretty good for the area - just give her aheads up you'd like dinner. She's quite funny too. Can't recommend Vista Hermosa highly enough - will definitely go back.

Stayed in large comfortable room with king sized bed. Loved listening to the howlers each morning. Great breakfast both mornings and really good burger and fries after our snorkeling adventure. Judy provided good local info. Would certainly stay there again.

As I traveled through Costa Rica via bicycle, I had my wife book me a room in Tambor. I had no idea that she got me this wonderful stay! My first interaction with Judy was on the phone, as my GPS was giving me bad directions. She had me laughing immediately! Then as I rode in on my bike, I was greeted with two ice cold beers and two ice cold sodas, followed by a freshly made hamburger, salad, and fries. It was a great little spot and I actually had the entire place to myself! Breakfast the next morning was exactly what I needed before heading off on my bike again. Our next trip to CR will definitely include a stay with Judy again!

I just wanted to share some thoughts regarding Vista Hermosa and its wonderful owner, Judy. My wife (Jayne) and I spent 5 days at this lovely accommodation in the Arbol Solitario room, with a very large comfortable bed, quiet air conditioning, en suite and immediate access to the swimming pool. But, it was the service and care offered by Judy that really helps to set this B&B experience above so many others. Background: We arrrived in Tambor expecting to be flying out 5 days later on Nature Air; the only trouble was that the airline had been grounded following a fatal crash on 31st December 2017 (airline website still taking bookings); within a few hours Judy had personally (a) organised replacement flights on Sansa, and (b) arranged a full refund through Nature Air. In addition to this, Judy was happy to arrange car hire for us, and introduced us to many of her friends during our stay. This really was the most enjoyable part of a wonderful 3 weeks in Costa Rica, and if you are ever considering time in the Southern Nicoya I can sincerely recommend Vista Hermosa. …

Five star service!! 5 star ⭐️ menu ! The place is just gorgeous. Our room was huge and very spacious. WiFi outstanding, air conditioning, a tv , big bathroom with with wonderful hot water. Judy is a class act pays attention to every detail . Her staff was so professional so sweet and kind ! The pool was just wonderful! We met such a great friend in Judy so available and helpful. Especially if you are considering to move to the Island she answered all of our questions. Now let’s discuss the menu outstanding/ our breakfast was the best part of waking up!! A different breakfast every morning! Just delicious. Not to mention we are up early 7 the moment we sat down a hot kraft of the best coffe!! Special Special Host who cares about you! We were just so comfortable !!!
