We stayed in Room 7 in mid-September and enjoyed fabulous weather. Massseria Salinola is truly enchanting. So peaceful and quiet, SO perfectly decorated... I felt my blood pressure dropping right away. Peaceful music is played and just transports you to the land of bliss. But. It ends abruptly when you go to dinner and are seated next to two small children who shriek intermittently. Who brings their kids to a 2+ hour quiet Italian dinner? Usually, places with this ambience and at this calibre only welcome children over age 10. Clearly, this place warrants that restriction. There is no playground or other entertainment for kids here. I love children and I care for them frequently but I would never bring them to a place like this. Way too much work keeping them quiet! I did mention to the staff that I preferred not to sit near the kids on the next night. He said "they are children". Like "what do you expect?" Well, don't bliss me out and then jolt me back with kids shrieking. The next night, someone brought their dog to dinner. There are cats that meander around the property so sure enough the dog starts barking. End of peace. Also people's cell phones were ringing during dinner! They need to put a small reminder at each table to tell customers to adjust cell phones so that they don't ring. Breakfasts were eaten outside as was dinner. Each room is given a number and the number is on the table so your table is assigned. We were at the same table over and over looking at other people's backs. It would be nice to have a change during our stay. Breakfast was a big spread of cake and bread and cereal. This got old quick. And every single thing has to be carried to the table so breakfast took about six trips back and forth involving steps from the table to the buffet. The dinners start at 8:00 and we often didn't get any food until 8:20 and were waiting and waiting for dessert at 10:00. When they are full of guests, there needs to be more staff serving the dinner guests. The meals were very good though I would have enjoyed having some bruschetta and aranchini. The pool is beautiful and has comfortable lounge chairs around it. The pool water is pretty chilly though and very few people used it. The whirlpool is cold water as well. It would be SO NICE if there was a hot tub here!! The linens on the bed and cotton blanket were super nice. Just the right amount of warmth! Very comfortable mattress and pillows. The lighting was very nice in the bedroom as well. Downsides were the scratchy bathrobes. I mean SCRATCHY!! No one is going to want to wear that thing unless they want their skin sanded. Also, in the bathroom, it was scary to be handling the glass bottles of shampoo, etc. over the concrete floor of the shower. This masseria has all of the elements to be super amazing, and I would love to return some day. Even with the various annoyances, it's absolutely beautiful!

We had a lovely time in this family owned and managed Masseria with a working farm. We statyed in so many good hotels worldwide but this property truly stands out. The family Capriglia has managed to achieve a perfect balance between traditions and very modern smart concepts that you can see everywhere (the very smart covid concept for the breakfast, the honesty bar...). You can also notice everywhere in this perfectly maintained Masseria the attention to details. The whole location is really nice with hay seats around fireplaces that are lightened every night, a very nice terrace, a wonderful pool area with a Jacuzzi. The decoration everywhere in the masseria is amazing. Last but not least the food was really good, especially the amazing 4-course dinner menu with a very good value for money (kids can order something else a la carte). The light lunch and the breakfast were also very good and everythin was very fresh. Thanks to the whole hotel hard working staff for this amazing experience.

We chose this place based on its proximity to Ostuni, but it was so nice we almost never made it to town. The hotel rooms are clean, cozy and nicely decorated. The staff are welcoming, very helpful and kind. The food at the restaurant was shockingly good, we had planned to dine in town but instead came back frequently for to eat the home made healthy food at the hotel. The pool is the perfect size for adults or kids, with a small jacuzzi and just the right amont of chairs. The atmosphere is one of quiet relaxation. We stayed in #7, which had an AC and 2 rooms so our kids (5/3) could go to sleep earlier than us without too much disruption. It had a small seating area, like a patio, near the door that was very pelassent for an end of day glass of wine. We only booked 2 days, but I wish we had stayed a week - it has all you could want for a quiet get away with the kids I would come back here sure. Also: they keep chickens which me and the kids regularly visited and were quite entertaining. Also there are bikes that can be borrowed, and a beautiful big garden to explore. Honestly it’s a great place.

We booked this trip in 2019 for the summer of 2020, then covid hit. Masseria Salinola had a great refund policy and were very helpful throughout, and when Italy opened back up we were able to stay at this gem in June/July 2021. What an amazing spot! The grounds are beautiful, the food is out of this world, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Daniele, the manager, is wonderful. Our stay was everything we hoped it would be and more.

We had booked for 2020 but had to postpone...we arrived tired after a long drive from Ancona to find this little piece of Paradise! We were greeted by Daniel, the Manager. A most charming, helpful and informative young man. The rooms were spotless and exceedingly charming. The grounds are impecably kept with an array of cacti and Olive trees. The Pool with its sparkling water, gracious sun beds was a delight after a day of touring. I highly recommend the dinners which were delicious and the wine suggestions were very appropriate. All together we spent a wonderful 6 nights and would most emphatically love to go back for more!
