We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this beautiful masseria near Ostuni. The hosts have done a wonderful job in restoring the property, and the rooms, vast common areas and the restaurants were all delightfully decorated. Charming garden and a large pool. We would like to highlight the restaurant for delicious food and good wine choices. A must for a Puglia trip.

The Masserie is delightful in so many ways. Comfortable, unusual (in a nice way), clean, friendly, and nice common areas (big pool, stylish area to sit/relax). The restaurant however (despite it being nicely designed) served very mediocre dinner. If, like me, you do not wish to be back at a school canteen, then dinner is not for you. Everyone (perhaps 30 guests) gets served at the same time with the tasting menu, with food that is certainly not cooked just before serving but rather pre-prepared. In our case, being vegetarian, we were served with some bread that had been filled with cheese and vegetables in place of a fillet of beef. Having already had gnocchi and pasta, it was yet more carbohydrates. In short, the masserie would have got 5 star had it not been for the restaurant (owner charged us 30 Euros instead of 39 Euros as a gesture!!!), so my suggestion is enjoy the stay, but eat out (there are plenty of great places to eat within 10-15 minutes).

For me, part of traveling is the ability to experience another way of life. And there is no better way to experience life on a masseria than a stay at Cervarolo. For this, our second stay at Masseria Cervarolo, we decided to stay in one of the trullo's. It was a magical experience. And, as we experienced on our first visit, the food is phenomenal - some of the best breakfasts and dinners that you will find anywhere - and the service is excellent. We especially appreciated the friendly service provided by Sabina at the front desk and by Diego at the pool. The masseria's central location is excellent providing access to most of the sites in Puglia within an hour's drive. I would highly recommend a stay at Masseria Cervarolo if you are visiting Puglia.

First, this opinion is based on hand-selecting and staying dozens of inns, boutique hotels, and B&B’s all over Europe over the past 15 years. Teo, wife, and staff provided us a very relaxing stay and a beautifully renovated old masseria, and from the start were so helpful with suggestions on what to see and do. Beautiful suite with a rooftop terrace over the chapel, but beware if you have trouble with “tall” stairs. We had just come from Matera, where I’d done some strenuous hikes on old stone streets and paths, so that was probably a factor. The other staff member who was very hospitable and fun was Diego down at the fantastic pool, our new friend from Porto, Portugal. Very enjoyable conversations about food, photography, wine, and restaurants. The sort of person who, after getting acquainted, you invite into your U.S. home. Breakfast was fabulous, with the best fresh scrambled eggs of any of the 6 places we stayed during our 3-week holiday, served by a friendly and cordial staff who seemed to happily work around all of the Covid-related restrictions on a buffet breakfast. And with my habit for early coffee before I trek off for sunrise photography, they were happy to accommodate. The only item that would have made it better would be a Nespresso coffee maker in the room, or access to one somewhere on the property. I think that it is their plan to replace these once they are allowed to. Parking on-site was very convenient, mostly because we were provided a remote device to open and close the gate. However, what keeps me from giving this property a “5” is the condition of the unsaved road to the hotel, which for this class of property should be smooth and paved. Really, there’s no excuse for this! Bravo to the entire team! We highly recommend Masseria Cervarolo.

I loved everything about the place. It’s a very romantic getaway and a peaceful space to be with your family or other half. 4/5 starts only because of the dinner, even if a “menu degustazione” for €30+ pp is a little much as personally felt portions were extremely small and really insist they work on this. For everything else, we loved it and would definitely go back again but will not stay for dinner 😇
