My sister and I had a wonderful, relaxing stay at this beautiful hotel. The gardens and pool are well taken care of thanks to Marco! The staff, particularly Rodolfo, Marco and Franco, are superb - nothing was too much trouble! The hotel is in a lovely location where you can hear the church bells ringing and it is close to the volcano which you can climb offering amazing views of the island. Before we booked we were wondering if there would be a smell of sulphur from the mud at this hotel but thankfully there is not. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was excellent, particularly the omelettes and there is even a superfood section. The staff also picked us up and dropped us off at the port which was a welcome relief with all our luggage! Tip - buy the local cheese, it's delicious!…
I really can recommend the orsa maggiore Hotel! Very nice staff, clean and modern rooms, good breakfast with everything you need and the Dinner in the evening was excellent, you have to try it :) we will come back! Thank you for the great stay at orsa maggiore!
The only thing we regret is too short stay. Well-groomed territory including pool and garden. Spotless clean room. Perfect breakfast. Excellent service. You will have to walk few minutes to the beach, or take a shuttle to the port, however, nice views from the pool area will compensate that with a premium. Special thanks to the hosts for the festive dinner, it was above all expectations.
Our family spent almost two weeks at this family-owned resort on Vulcano Island and would certainly recommend it to others. This is an extremely well-run hotel: hygiene is kept to the highest standards, owners and staff are kind and attentive and food is delicious. In Italy is very rare to find hotels offering such a great variety of choices for breakfast: fresh fruit, eggs, cold cuts, tasty juices, almond milk and delicious pastry for those with a sweet tooth. I have particularly appreciated the super foods station with seeds and dry fruits to start the day well. Dinners are also great - the owner-cook takes care of the of the restaurant and we have ended up eating here many times as everybody loves it. Last, there is a lovely pool with great views where one can spend the day and just chill.... …
Sebastiana and Franco (staff) could not have done more for us if they tried. Our stay was amazing, comfortable (upgraded to bungalows by pool), quiet and hospitable. This hotel understands hospitality on a high level. I recommend going in April as it is low season, I have a feeling they get very busy in high season. Pool was lovely with jacuzzi Food at hotel was really really good and wine was outstanding. Location excellent and away from sulphur smell (depended on which way the wind blew and not sure about when it get super hot in summer) It is about a 10 min walk to port (Franco picked us up and dropped us back) All in all Vulcano was incredible and this hotel made our stay amazing. Highly recommend Be aware there are a lot of mosquitoes outside the room!
