My sister and me spent three days in the beautiful Isola di Vulcano, an amazing and relaxing place. We stayed in this super B&B just a stone outside the tiny centre of the isle. Our host was a really nice and fine person who really let us feel at home. Everything was really perfect, must come back! I'd recommend it to everyone!
It's a pleasant and nicely designed place at the foothills of the volcano. However the lady who was running that B&B at the time of our stay (end Sept - early Oct) was our most unpleasant experience in Sicily - unfriendly and rude person. We took plates and glasses from the cupboard in the room to have our breakfast on the terrace and she approached us screaming that we are not allowed to use them (nobody mentioned that before - it's a B&B after all). Then she went into our room starting to check the cupboard as if we had stolen anything. She didn't even asked if she can enter or room. Ruthless, gestapo type person. Avoid - there are plenty other friendly places on the island.
It's a pity we didn't stay longer! Our room was small, but nicely decorated and perfectly clean. Besides the place is very quiet and we slept really well. The breakfast was not the most impressive I have ever had, but the essentials are there and you still get a nice fresh croissant (and anyway, we didn't expect a huge buffet for the small price we paid). In any case, we enjoyed our breakfast time a lot, since it was served on a rooftop terrace with a great view of the Vulcano island itself, the sea and the "faraglioni".
