We booked all 11 rooms at the Boathouse Country Inn for our wedding party to stay during a weekend in May 2016. Our wedding was held on a 1000 Islands tour boat we chartered for four hours, which was docked steps away from the Inn. My bride and I took the huge St. Christopher suite on the second floor of the Inn. My best man and the maid of honour took the adjacent rooms on the second floor while the ushers, bridesmaids and grandparents took the remaining ground floor motel rooms. We held a dinner on Friday for the wedding party and guests who came up the day before the wedding. A pre-cruise reception was held in the St. Christopher suite and post cruise after party was held in the Cornwall Pub. The rooms were comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The food was…
Friends had their wedding at The Boathouse Inn this past May 28th weekend. We were greeted warmly and the inn itself was beautiful built in the 1800's and very charming , clean and situated on the water at 1000 Islands. The rooms were clean as was the rest of the Inn. It is very obviously well maintained with very friendly staff members and caring owners. Our meals were one of the highlights of the weekend with a varied up scale menu , awesome food by a great kitchen staff and served by extremely pleasant servers. The calamari was expertly cooked and tender and could stand up to any of the best Markham restaurants. I very much enjoyed our stay and would certainly return to this superior inn with reasonable pricing , great food and accommodations. To top it off my daughter left…
Spent three days at he Boathouse Country Inn (end of September). While management was closing down some aspects of the operation from their peak season, the efficiency of the housekeeping service was upheld, the Cornwall Pub staff were hospitable and helpful at all times, as well as the kitchen staff kept us well fed with delicious meals. The Rocktoberfest party was unexpected and delightful, including quality tunes from the past. Prost!
Came up for a scuba diving trip for the weekend and booked Boathouse Inn's motel based recommend of a local in the area. To May dismay of the day of my arrival I was getting if enormous number of flies in the room and had to kill about fifteen of them. That still was not enough. For two days of flies buzzing in my ear and landing on my body, along with the loud mini refrigerator it was impossible to get a good night's sleep. There was no staff on premises to address my complaints. Although, it was convenient because the dive charter I was using is docked at the Boathouse Inns dock, but it was not worth the money for the convenience. Lastly, there was no breakfast available, due to their Resturant being closed for the season. My advice bring a bug zapper or bug spray. …
