I can only concur with the plaudits given by fellow reviewers - this b&b is excellent! Sue and Steve were welcoming hosts, chatty and happy to give lots of local recommendations. Tea and cake in the afternoon is a nice touch and the breakfast was lovely with lots of choice including fresh fruit. The (single) room was lovely, airy and clean. There is also a pleasant guest lounge to relax in. There is off street parking in the private driveway and it's a short walk into Ingleton for evening dining and drinks. Two pubs I would highly recommend are the Masons Arms (just down the road and this serves food as well) and the Old Post Office micropub. Also the Ingleton waterfall trail walk has some great scenery.
In the current circumstances Sue and Steve are limiting the number of bookings so as to act responsibly in terms of the ongoing pandemic - there are also hand sanitising points and other adjustments to the property and procedures to give a "covid secure" environment. None of which detracted from the experience and I certainly felt very safe staying here in that respect.
This is one of those b&bs that, now I have found it, I hope to return to! Thank you Sue and Steve for a lovely stay.

Sue and Steve are the BEST hosts that you could possibly ask for!! We were made to feel instantly welcome with a lovely pot of tea for two and some incredible cake (the cake continued on a daily basis which was delicious!). We loved the little lounge area where we played games (we brought our own but there was scrabble, cluedo etc that you could borrow!) and a whole host of tourist books and leaflets. Sue and Steve also provided us great recommendations of things to do in the area and always seemed genuinely interested in what we got up to. The breakfasts in the morning were great (loved the eco friendly ‘wipe clean’ daily order menu idea!). The room was beautifully clean with lovely tea and coffee, and a daily supply of fresh milk that you could collect in cute little jugs from the local pottery shop. :) Sue and Steve went above and beyond to help us out during our stay, always helping us out. Massive massive thank you to both of them. I would recommend this beautiful place in a gorgeous location to anyone!!

This B&B is brilliant value. Sue and Steve are great hosts, very helpful and knowledgeable concerning the areas attractions. The breakfasts are great with a wide choice. All covid requirements are in place so guests feel very comfortable. Off road parking is a boon. I recommend this guest house to anyone without reservation.

What a fantastic bed and breakfast, Sue and Steve are so welcoming and make you feel totally at home, from the minute you walk through the door. They greet you with homemade cake and a brew in a fantastically furnished lounge.
I stayed in the Beezley room, which was spotless and with everything you could need, comfortable bed, en-suite shower, smart tv, and more.
The breakfast is extensive and cooked to perfection, the cheese omelette was sublime.
A fantastic location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District, can’t wait to return. Also with plenty of place to dine out within walking distance this certainly is a gem of a bed and breakfast. I will definitely return.

Living in these unusual times I couldn't wait for a taste of normal life albeit a new normal.
16 th visit at Harling House the beautiful Gem of a guest house.
Sue and Steve are totally committed to making their guests stay, a memorable one.
The Doe room-( which I always book as a solo traveller )as are the other rooms - tastefully decorated to a high standard with every amenity a guest will ever need.Top quality mattress and bedding is key.
Breakfast again, very high standard with so much choice available.
Talking food; Home baking is offered on arrival with a cuppa and every day when you come in after your day out.
Sue does most of the baking but this visit Steve made choc brownies which you could see as a dessert in a top quality restaurant. ( I will never tire of them Steve!)I haven't got a pic of them as I had scoffed them before I remembered!
Best places to dine in the evening are The Masons pub along the road and La Cascada in the village. The warmth of welcome received is like no other and I believe more so because of Covid.

This visit I have experienced such a oneness in Harling House and the two restaurants which I can't describe...and I believe, because of Covid.

Wow, we are truly honoured in reading this review. Having been open for 6 years, this lady has stayed 16 times to enjoy our hospitality and the area which in itself is humbling. As a business that had to close for more than 3 months earlier this year, we are pleased to be welcoming guests back and have adjusted our offering along the guidance, but it's good to know that our welcome and what we provide has not lessened in any way. We too are lost for words....apart from THANK YOU very much for taking the time to post this review.

Location is absolutely spot on, walking distance from the village where their is plenty to see & do. A short drive from other attractions. Host Sue & Steve are faultless. Friendly & helpful nothing is too much trouble. Tea & cake on arrival , clean rooms with little extras that make you smile I would highly recommend Harling House as the perfect place to stay and unwind.

There is little to add to the other fabulous reviews which Harling House so richly deserves. The extra discount for stays of three nights or more makes the place really good value for money. We always have a few boxes to tick before choosing a property - small and friendly, off road parking, extensive breakfast menu, garden to relax in at the end of a walk. Harling House has all these and more - guest lounge, fridge for guest use, wine glasses/champagne glasses, gorgeous home made cakes baked fresh daily. Sue and Steve really do think of everything. Covid measures are all in place and we felt very safe throughout our stay. Looking forward to a return visit next year to do some more walking in this fabulous area.

If you want a B&B that feels like home from home Harling House is the place to be,everything you can hope for and more. Sue & Steve are perfect hosts and make you feel welcome and Sue's amazing homemade cakes and a welcoming cup of tea on arrival was a wonderful gesture. Sue & Steve keep very high standards and everything is spotless and decorated and furnished to a superior finish.
The location of Harling House is perfect, lots of bars and restaurants in the village, Masons Arms being the closest, 5/10 mins away, there are more within walking distance or a short drive away. The waterfalls and caves are not far away, So many places to visit for e.g. Clapham, Kirby Lonsdale,Morecambe, Settle, Hawes and Ribblehead viaduct to name but a few.

Just back from the most fantastic stay at Harling House. Sue and Steve’s home is immaculately clean in the fantastic location of Ingleton. The room was very well presented, plenty of pillows and toiletries included. A lovely tea box filled with a variety of teas, coffee and hot chocolate are waiting for you in your room. Each Day Sue creates a delicious homemade cake to enjoy after your busy day, which was always welcomed. The B&B is one of the first properties in Ingleton, a quick stroll into the village centre brings you to a selection of shops, cafes, pubs, a swimming pool and the Ingleton Falls trail which is a must for all visitors. A first class breakfast and the knowledge from Sue and Steve was fanatastic and will keep you going through your stay. We will most definitely be back and highly recommend bookings.

Sue and Steve run a fantastic B&B

Communication was fantastic - email straight after booking giving exact location as well as top tips on where to book to eat.

Ample parking at the property

Met with coffee, home made cake and great conversation.

Breakfast comprised buffet of cereals, yoghurt and a bowl of fresh fruit followed by a wide choice of hot food (full English was excellent)

Our room (Thornton) was spacious, with ample storage space and a well appointed bathroom with complimentary toiletries.

Coffee / tea making facilities in our room had a wide range of choices - with jugs of fresh milk available from the guest fridge in the dining room.

I really can’t praise Sue and Steve highly enough for how they run this B&B.

We would return without a moment’s hesitation

Thank you Amanda for your enquiry. We have a 2-night minimum stay, so are not sure whether you'd require 20th/21st or 21st/22nd, but our single room (for children over age 11) upstairs and our downstairs double room are available. We are about just under 5 mins walk from Pinecroft. There's more details about what we provide, room facilities and terms etc, on our website, so we hope this helps. harlinghouse co uk

Hello and thank you for your enquiry. We're only a small B&B with room (bedroom and dining) set ups that unfortunately don't allow us to accommodate children under 11. All of our terms can be found on our website. We find that many of our guests book with us because they know that there will not be young children or pets on the premises.

Hello and thank you for your query. I think our former guests have answered perfectly. We normally say that places for dining out are within an 8 - 15 minute walk, depending on what you're looking for. I hope this helps.
