My husband and I enjoyed our 3-night stay in the Ribblesdale pod. Our daughter and her two girls slept in their tent alongside the pod, though they packed the tent away and shared the pod with us for the last night as it was forecast high winds and rain. There was plenty of room in the pod for the five of us, and lots of room outside for the tent. We had a lovely view of Whernside from the pod's front doors, and the bedroom window had equally pleasant views with sheep in the fields, lots of trees and lovely dry stone walls. Our pod was very spacious, clean and well equipped. The room with the toilet was quite big and doubled up as a dressing room - useful for changing into swimwear, etc. when needed. As we all have mobile phones, it was helpful having two USB charging points in addition to electric sockets. We all enjoyed having the TV (although bad weather affected the signal at times) and the underfloor heating can be turned on whenever required. The camp was very quiet when we stayed, so there was no queueing for showers. The girls liked seeing the rabbits and chickens, and we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings.

Stackstead is easy to find just off the main road in Ingleton. It has permanent caravans, camping pods, and a grass area for tents. There is onsite parking, you don't park next to your tent but close to it, this is because the grass you camp on is a lush well kept lawn.
There are onsite toilets with a washing up sink and a shower (50p goes in the honesty box). The shower area has a very good extractor fan so doesn't all steam up and as the site doesn't take many campers I have never had to queue. The bench area where you put your clothes stays dry and the whole toilet block is clean and well maintained.
Extra bonus is the drying room, really useful.
There is an onsite leisure centre but I've never used this, the same for the camping pods which are a great alternative to a tent but much cheaper than a hotel.
The village of Ingleton and beautiful countryside are all within walking distance back up the road, which many people walk up and down and cars don't drive too fast. Do remember a torch if you're walking back in the evening.
You pay a deposit via bank transfer to reserve your place and the rest in cash when you arrive.

We stayed at stackstead for a few nights in one of the pods. The pods are well maintained and perfect to get a camping experience if the weather is not great. We stayed as a family of four (2 adults and 2 children) and the size was adequate, if on the small size. This was mainly because it was very wet and windy and so we had to eat inside, which meant we had to juggle beds and tables around to do so. In the summer this would not be a problem. The site is well maintained and my children were thrilled to see the rabbits roaming around. The bathroom facilities are clean, but there is only one shower, and would definitely benefit from at least one more. The showers are 50p for each use. The sink for washing up is located between the male and female bathrooms. There is a lesiure centre which looked nice but we did not use it on this trip.

We visited for a pre new year get away, lovely site so clean and feels so safe , views amazing, staff amazing, shower facilities , leisure facilities were not in use however we are back this weekend and they are back up and running so excited to use them. Super cute bunnies around! Pub would say to book at the top of the road spot on food. Great location did Ingleton falls trail - this time we go this weekend doing ingleborough cave. The pods are so warm and cosy with everything you need plus under floor heating and tv. Just perfect. We will be regulars can’t wait to be back - this time for a birthday visit

We chose Stackstead Farm for a week’s holiday in late July with our two adult children and their families - they were camping and we booked the Shepherds Hut. Wendy and Steve could not have been more helpful and we loved this compact and beautifully kept site- and our grandchildren loved the resident chickens! The Leisure Centre opened part way through our stay and it is a real asset particularly when the weather isn’t great. The Hut is a triumph of design in such a small space with its private garden. The Masons Arms pub within walking distance is very friendly and we had our first meal out there as a family since lockdown. Ingleton is also well positioned for trips to other parts of the Yorkshire Dales as well as having its own outdoor attractions like the Waterfalls Walk and Ingleborough. A great holiday which replaced a planned trip to France. Highly recommended and we hope to go back.

We were planning on wildcamping this weekend but the weather was not on our side, we called stackstead farm to see if they had any space for us last minute and a very friendly lady said they did.
What a pleasant surprise the site was. The facilities are beyond any I have seen at other sites and so clean! All the guests were super friendly yet so quiet we felt totally secluded.
We realised shortly after arriving our camping stove wasn’t working and in the morning the owners kindly lent us a kettle for our morning cuppa.
Perfectly situated for local sightseeing too. We will be back soon. Thank you

Stayed in camping pod Kingsdale . Excellent service from the friendly owners . If there was one thing to improve it would be the shower cubicle - little bit tired but hey it worked and that’s why I didn’t knock a star off
Leisure Facilities are Excellent. Sauna Jacuzzi and a good decent sized pool all clean and well kept . And at £6 each for an hour you cannot go wrong!
There’s also a modern Gym !

Camping pod was perfect - with flushing toilet , clean microwave and fridge ! Tv channels worked perfectly ( that doesn’t happen often these days on campsites ) .

The great thing about this place is that it’s so quite . Lots of bunnies pay you a visit each day . We left them salad and the local Rooster was heard occasionally - but not intrusive !

We stayed there 2 nights and to be honest II was so relaxed when we left . We had lost our cat two days beforehand to an animal attack at home and we arrived totally devastated and stressed out but I can honestly say the farm and camping experienced has helped us to try and move on and we thank the lady and gent owners for that .

Thank you . Hope to visit again soon

Ian and Stu x

We have just returned from a much needed very relaxing night in one of the camping pods. Wendy was warm and friendly on arrival and told us everything we needed to know for our stay. The pods were very well maintained and spacious equipped with fridge and kettle with a nice outdoor area where we had a barbecue and enjoyed the serene surroundings. Cleanliness was of a very high standard in the shower and toilet areas and we felt very assured it was on top of all the COVID hygiene procedures. We would have loved to have made use of the leisure facilities but unfortunately they were closed due to obvious circumstances. We will definitely be returning in the near future!

Just got back from staying at Stacksteads in the beautiful village of Ingleton, having stayed there several times previously. We stayed in one of their new 'pods', they now have five in total, and our son stayed in their Shepherds Hut. The pod was very well equipped for what we needed, a wc, a kitchenette with microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle and a bed, there was also a bed settee provided; perfect for a family or a couple just wanting to getaway. It is very tranquil so you can unwind with a lovely vista overlooking Ingleborough (one of the three peaks of Yorkshire). Our sons Shepherd Hut was equipped to a high standard which was perfect for a couple. Steve & Wendy have made great improvements over the many years they have been there and we have enjoyed the many occassions we have stayed there. They also have a small Leisure Centre with a pool, jacuzzi and gym which makes the location perfect. The walk to the local pub The Masons Arms, around .5 mile, is worth it in the evening to enjoy their local beers and home cooked food. Highly recommended.

We were in Ingleton for the 40s weekender and stayed, again, at Stackstead Farm. It never disappoints, Steve & Wendy look after their guests really well and ensure that their stay is perfect. We usually have The Ribblesdale Pod as that is dog friendly and we take our cocker who just loves the outdoors. The views are to die for, especially in the morning whilst cooking and eating breakfast, al fresco, on the decking at the front of the pod. They also have a small leisure centre for guests to use, although numbers are limited due to it's size, you can usually get in. Very highly recommended.
