We haven’t stayed at this B&B however we definitely will be arranging a stay in the near future due to the welcome we received from the couple who own the B&B while myself and my wife were left stranded on their driveway for 6hrs due to a flat tyre.
The couple were very friendly and welcoming, they kept checking on us to make sure we were okay and inviting us in for tea and coffee, and to use the facilities. This was really nice as most people could be really funny having two vehicles blocking their driveway, but the couple who owned the B&B were excellent and extremely understanding.
Would highly recommend staying here as if this is the way they treat people who hadn’t payed to stay in their B&B, I can’t wait to see how they treat the people who do.
Also the building and grounds looked amazing! (As we had 6hrs to admire them) this B&B truly looks like a little hidden gem in a beautiful location.
Thanks again for your hospitality and understanding we will return for a night or two in your beautiful B&B !

I spent the weekend at Gale Green Cottage while visiting the local area with my sister and brother-in-law, they recommended Gale Green as they had stayed there before. Jill and Glen are perfect hosts, friendly and welcoming (Jill makes great cakes !). Gale Green sits just of a main road but you would never know it, there was never any problem with road noise, just the sound of lambs calling their mothers in the nearby field. If you've got a healthy appetite then the large breakfast is a must, free range eggs and delicious sausages are amongst the highlights. This is a great location fi you want to see the nearby Ingleton waterfalls, White Scar cave or climb any or all of the three peaks.

My husband and i stayed at Gale Green with my brother and his partner. The house is in a quiet location but easy to find. Sat nav took us right there. The house itself is an extended large cottage and the owners Jill and Glen, have the before and after pictures of the work done which are very interesting and the finihed work is to an excellent high standard while still maintaining an olde world charm. Now Jill is a dog lover and she welcomes pets. She has 2 beautiful and extremely well behaved adorable dogs. BO short for Boneidle is a 4yr old Golden retriever and Jaffa short for jaffacakes is an 11yr old Colly cross (I hope thats right) The 2 dogs are allowed to roam the house obviously not in guest bedrooms unless you invite them in!! They are not allowed in the dining room either. Now if you're not partial to dogs Jill will keep them away and to all intent and purpose were not into dogs (as much as we like them) but to be honest its hard not to want to stroke and cuddle these two!! The bedrooms are beautiful, again, olde worlde and great views. The en-suite in comparison is very modern with an amazing huge powerful shower!!!!!. The breakfasts are great also. Choice of Cereal, fresh orange juice, Bowl of freshly chopped fresh fruit, cooked breakfast choose from large (More or less 2 of everything) or small (one of each) or mix and match as Jill is very flexible. Toast of your choice i.e granary brown or plain white and preserves, Tea or coffee. There is a guest sitting room with a beautiful wood burning stove where you can relax and watch tv and Jill said you can bring a bottle of wine in with you. When we came back in the evening Jill made us tea etc as we were going to nip to our bedrooms to make one and bring it down but Jill wouldn't hear of it. She also sat with us and of course the dogs and we chatted like old friends. It was so normal and relaxing. Jill has her own hens and ducks supplying the eggs which are wonderful (you can buy them also) She also grows and bottles beetroot and homemade tomato chutney which she sells, She has a field which has a dog agility course and she trains her dogs there and she very kindly put on a show for us. So to conclude you have to go and see for yourself you won't be disappointed. If you're walkers its an ideal location as Ingleton Falls are just up the road. Its an absolutely perfect B&B!!!!!

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome. We were greeted with a pot of tea and some cake, which after a long ride was gratefully received! The bedroom was big, loads of space for two and the ensuite was clean and cosy. Breakfast was amazing! There was so much food available it almost beat the biggest of appetites. The owners are lovely...both perfect hosts. We will be back!

Wow, what a place! A very warm welcome from Jill, Glen and their two lovely dogs. Coffee and cake on arrival, yummy! Our motorbike was looked after in the double garage. The house is very warm and full of character. Rooms are beautifully decorated, clean and cosy with modern bathrooms. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice. Ideal location. Can't wait to go back next year on our annual visit to Scotland. Thanks again Jill and Glen x

It has taken me nearly a year to getting round to writing my reviews, but here goes! I cycled from Lands End to John O'Groats in the summer of last year, and this was my halfway point. I had just been caught in a massive storm in the fells, and was in need of some comfort and a long shower after my days hard work. Fortunately I was well looked after by Jill and co, and found my room to be large and very comfortable, with one of the biggest showers I have ever used. Hope to find a reason to come back some day, and would recommend to anyone in the area.

We have stayed here three times now and it's our favourite place to be when away from home. We love the peace and quiet. The room we usually have is very spacious and the shower room is well appointed. The cooked breakfasts are fabulous with homemade bread, eggs from the chickens in the garden and homemade marmalade. Jill is the perfect host.

We needed somewhere to stay for the night, Although we are fairly local to the area (only 50 miles or so) we had an eventful couple of days planned and the extra mileage was worth booking a room and staying over.
Our host, Jill was very hospitable and friendly, As where her Dogs.
I only wish our bernese mountain dog travelled better in the car as I'm sure she would have made him just as welcome.
I would recommend this b&b to anyone who loves the out doors and needs to spend a few nights in the Yorkshire dales.
We will be returning fairly soon as its worth staying over here for the night so we can enjoy ourselves and relax.

"I cannot comment on the other rooms as we did not see them but our room faced south and offered a good view of the surrounding country particularly on an evening when the colours of the landscape were at their best."
