Gauber Bunk Barn & Den are situated at the heart of the stunning Yorkshire Three Peaks Country right on the Three Peaks route between Pen-y-Ghent and Whernside. The bunk barn sleeps up to 12 people in 3 comfortable bunk rooms. The bunk barn has a well equipped self catering kitchen and cosy living room with wood burning stove and garden to the rear. The Den is a cosy, quirky barn sleeping up to 4 people. The accommodation comprises of a king size bed on a mezzanine floor, downstairs there is a cabin containing bunk beds, wet room, small kitchenette, seating area with wood burning stove and patio seating outside. Both the bunk barn and Den enjoy stunning views over to Pen-y-Ghent and the surrounding Ribblesdale countryside. Ribblehead train station is 15-20 min walk from Gauber and walking distance from the pub.
Situated on the Yorkshire 3 peak course, it’s a fantastic location. I stayed in The Den with 2 other adults & there was ample room (with space for another). The host volunteered to run us to the local pub for food (the station inn - which was a great eatery) and had plenty of helpful local knowledge. I would highly recommend the Den (didn’t see in the bunkhouse) for anyone tackling the Y3P or just visiting the area.

A group of (16) us booked out the barn and den at this fabulous accommodation. Even though the weekend was a complete washout in terms of the weather, we had such a great time because of how Katie & Jon, our hosts took care of us.
We have stayed at the accommodation before so we already knew about the greatly facilities it has, all the mod cons you need and lovely cosy log fires. On the actual route of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, overlooking the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
We had wanted to have a bar-b-q but it rained all day, when we spoke to Jon about this, he went out of his way to purchase a tarpaulin sheet and put it up securely for us.
In short you simply can not get better accommodation on or near the Yorkshire 3 Peaks but what makes your stay exceptional is the hospitality and kindness provide by Jon and Katie.
See you next year.......

We stayed in the Den and it was a great little place, smaller than we were expecting but that didn't matter, it had everything you needed and enough space. The hosts were so lovely and the views were great. Only half a mile from a lovely pub. There is no mobile phone signal, but there isn't a mobile phone signal anywhere near by but the place does have great wifi. It is right next to the Yorkshire three peaks, so a great location. One of the best bits of the Den was closing the "curtains" at night - they are large barn doors.

A very cosey, clean and well looked after bunkhouse. Our party was 13 in the end so we used both the Bunk Barn and the Den. The bunkbeds are very comfortable, the kitchen is well appointed if a little cramped when everyone is trying to make sandwiches. The wood burning stove provides a nice focus in the common room. Well done to John and Katie for taking so much trouble.

Well, what can I say other than this place was perfect for our party of 10 people! 3 generations of family visited here last weekend to celebrate my father's 70th birthday. The booking process was straightforward and easy and we received a very warm welcome to the barn. Our online shopping had arrived before we did and it had even been unpacked and put away for us! How lovely is that? When we arrived a roaring fire was going which made for a very cosy welcome. We were treated to a lovely little welcome pack too. The barn had everything and more! Extemely clean and tidy, really good quaility furnishings too. The enclosed garden at the back was a big hit with the children who really enjoyed looking at the lambs in the field beyond. The local pub is only a 15 minute walk away. We visited White scar caves and did the Ingelton waterfalls walk. All in all a fab weekend! Would we stay here again......in a heartbeat! Thank you.

We stayed in the Den which was perfect for our needs.
Small, but warm and cosy and a log burner to dry off our boots after a long day walking through boggy ground.
Location ideal for anyone walking Dales Way or Three Peaks.
Although it’s smallish it’s well equipped and a powerful walk in shower.
Owners were great and kindly dropped us at and picked us up from the local pub.
Great feeling to step out of at night and look into a pitch dark sky, you really do feel as if you are in the middle of nowhere.
Would thoroughly recommend staying here.

So around 10 of us came for 2 nights in March as a base to do the three peaks challenge. The location is absolutely perfect for this. The barn itself is lovely, clean, spacious and warm. We all really, really enjoyed staying here. The owners are absolutely brilliant, super friendly and went out of their way to help us. There’s no doubt I will come back here with family at some point and have recommended this to other friends and colleagues. Thanks again guys!

Spent 2 nights (there were 4 of us, all women) in this sweet little den. Everything you needed. The hosts were lovely and kept reiterating how small it was. Very cute with excellent fibre broadband. Exactly what we were expecting and more. Shower was just what the Dr ordered after doing the 3 Peaks. Warm, cosy and clean. Perfect location for starting at Whernside nr the Station Inn pub. Thank you for a wonderful break, would definitely stay again.

It's not so much a bunk hut but a house with bunk beds. Great lounge with loads of sofas, a well-equipped kitchen, comfy beds with fluffy blankets and three toilets. Remote location but walking distance to the pub and railway station. Really worth the money.
