The hotel sent a transfer to get us at the airport and the driver was nice and use of mask was mandatory in the van and hand sanitizer was provided! Once in the hotel we were greeted by a local who did not speak much English but was nice to carry our bags until the reception and later on to our room. The receptionists were the nicest people in the hotel, they helped us with booking restaurants, renting a scooter, directions and were always super nice! The reception was protected and the staff wore a mask and visor! Very happy with that! We also got a free upgrade which made it even nicer!

The hotel itself has 2 small pools for 3 and a bigger one by the bar. The view is breathtaking and the rooms are very good! Covid measures are in place and we felt safe there!

Things I did not like: not sure if there are enough sun beds for all the guests. Even though the receptionists tell you it’s not allowed to save sun beds this was not the case! The other guests had absolutely no respect for others and went to the sun beds early, left their towels or other belongings such as books and went somewhere else for hours! At one point there were 8 sunbeds with towels on them and only one person actually there! Also very rarely you would find guests wearing a mask which should be mandatory in stairs and other narrow places where it is hard to keep a distance!

Another thing I did not feel that was worth the 13£ was the breakfast! It was Ok but not good enough really!

Overall the hotel was very good, but the guests were not the most careful and respectful people and the breakfast certainly needs an improvement.

We arrived at Andromeda at 7.45pm after a delayed flight and the first thing we saw after entering the hotel was the beautiful sunset. We knew then we'd made the right decision. We were warmly welcomed by Nikos and went straight to the hotel restuarant for dinner.

Throughout our stay the staff were always helpful and polite. Our room, despite seeing comments of the hotel needing an upgrade, felt fresh and was a great size with the most perfect view.

The main pool was just perfect however the only negative comments I'd make here were the sun lounger cushions need to be replaced as very worn and some a bit smelly! Also these get reserved very early and despite notices around the pool that lounger reservations aren't allowed this is not reinforced. Some beds had towels on from 8am with guests not turning up until midday.

The location of the hotel was perfect and how great to not have to queue up with the rest of the island to watch the sunset when you can do so from your own balcony. Imerovigli is the perfect spot between the two bigger towns of Thira and Oia yet close enough to explore the two. There are lots of nice restaurants within walking distance and Skaros Rock is easily walked to. The walk to Oia was beautiful. Easily accesible from the hotel and takes around 2-2.5 hours.

If getting taxis it's probably best to organise these yourself as reception quoted 160euros for a taxi to Oia whereas we only paid 35 when we organised ourselves. However buses are easy to use to get to Thira but you need to go to Thira first if you want to bus it to Oia. These are around 1.60 or 2 euros to Oia.

Overall our stay at Andromeda was just perfect and we would highly recommend the hotel and location of Imerovigli to anyone wishing to explore Santorini.

Wow. This place is super special if you are looking for a romantic getaway. Book room 64 if you want the pleasure of your own private pool. Lovely spacious cool room with its own living space including sink and fridge and a private balcony to watch the spectacular sunset which is what everyone seems to go to the Greek islands for. It’s unfair to judge food during a pandemic with social distancing etc but the breakfast set up is limited but it is unfair to judge anywhere these days due to the health considerations.
We loved our fresh salad by the bigger pool at lunchtime and our iced coffees mid afternoon. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
This hotel is well placed for walking to Fira, hiking to Oia, climbing Skaros rock or just sitting watching the boats go by in the impressive caldera.
If you are travelling as a family or have mobility issues I would think twice about choosing Santorini as a destination. Built into cliffs there are many many steps - not good for a buggy or if you struggle to get around.
But if you are looking for a romantic few days this is the place to come 💗

Our first time in Santorini we found this hotel
on Booking.com after a night looking through endless pages of hotels we come to the conclusion that this ticked our boxes the most for its value for money and location. Upon arrival you’re greeted with stairs, stairs and more stairs. There are lifts but stairs seemed quicker. Reception is at the bottom along with the main pool, bar, and restaurant. Check in was fast and easy. The staff speak perfect English and made us feel very welcome. We were given a quick briefing on the location of the facilities and then quickly shown to our room with conveniently was room 51 which is 30 metres from reception. The room was nice, we felt slightly catfished as the room looks a bit better in pictures but it had the essentials; bed, bathroom, tv and mini fridge. The bathroom is small and very cave like. Occasionally had the smell of sewage. Shower had no holder so it was a case of literally holding the shower head while you wash (very odd). The bed wasn’t too comfortable. Very firm. The location of the room means there’s a lot of people walking past your room, there’s also a set of stairs next to your room so the sound of flip flops/ sandals going up and down stairs eventually become background noise. But this catfish room is a stone in the ocean compared to the truly breathtaking view you have. I have been fortunate to have traveled to a lot of countries but this view will take some
beating. Sun sets at around 6:58pm so take 10 minutes to see this bucket list moment because it’s worth it. Overall the hotel is very picturesque, very well located and great value for money. Bar staff are friendly and bringing your drink or snacks to your location of choice is no problem whatsoever. We didn’t opt for breakfast at the hotel as €14 each seems steep. To summarise. If you don’t mind a few stairs and want something that ticks most boxes. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Very popular for weddings and wedding photography. I would consider this hotel if I was to ever return to Santorini.

I booked this hotel for our wedding accommodation and even though the price was a little steep, my god its worth it! When we turned up outside in a taxi the staff were ready and waiting to take the suitcases off us to our rooms. I’m glad about this as from the road the hotel is down a lift, coriander and stairs. Took a bit of time to check in but we really didn’t care as the hotel is on the edge of the caldera in Imerovigli looking over at the amazing view! So we were extremely excited. Our room was beautiful and really had the greek vibe especially in the beautiful bathroom. The room was perfect for my wedding morning, nice and big for the make up artist and bridesmaids to get ready. We had a comfy bed, great shutters and curtains to keep the extremely bright sunshine out in the morning. Breakfast was nice. Pleasant staff at reception, booking taxis. Maids did a great job of cleaning rooms and resupplying water bottles. Our hotel room was near the 1st floor square pool that was empty most of the time as people were on the ground floor pool, so this was brilliant as we felt like this huge pool was just for us! Both pools were extremely clean and had amazing views. There was also plenty of comfortable outside beds free on this level and you could order snacks and drinks to your bed. The club sandwich and strawberry daiquiri is the best ever! We went the spa the day after our wedding, and its absolutely beautiful in a cave room with a whirlpool bath, with lights above you like little fireflies and a relaxing massage by the professional staff. Just a shout out to the staff member, unsure of his name sorry but he is a credit to your hotel, he was always running about bringing drinks to people and sorting the breakfast, making sure people used the plastic gloves before handing the utensils. Very friendly man considering he seemed on his own all the time. There is seriously nothing bad about this place, oh maybe one thing….. when you have to check out and go home, as i could honestly stay there for ever! We will be back next year and I can’t wait already 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

I booked this accommodation as a surprise for my wife for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We where recommended it from some friends that visited a few years before.

My first contact with the accomistion was via phone and email to book and they could not be more helpful.

On our arrival we had arranged a private transfer to collect us from the airport to the hotel. Due to the Covid we had to wear a mask in the taxi which is compulsary now in most countries

On arrival at the hotel we where taken down to reception where we where greeted by the receptionist . We have to complete a few forms and where shown to our room. I booked the Honeymoon suite which had its own little pool and sun terrace with sun loungers.

The staff during the visit where all very welcoming and helpful and helped us arrange a Quad bike hire for one day which is a great way to explore the island.

The bar man, was amazing and very helpful in making some cocktails that where not on the menu.

We had a large selection for breakfast which was always delivered to our room, however I would agree its a bit on the expensive side for the quaility of the food.

I would definitely stay here again

This is a lovely hotel in a fantastic location with fabulous views over the Santorini caldera.

We booked a junior suite which had a private patio with sun beds, chair and table. We were aware of the public path that runs through the hotel and asked for a room that would not be overlooked by this. Be aware the patio area for some rooms is pretty public, right by the pool / bar or main walkways in some cases.

Our room was attractive, bed seemed a bit hard but was actually very comfortable. We had a good clean shower room and no issues with hot water. Breakfast is included (for us anyway) and was pretty good, although perhaps not as extensive as in a larger hotel.

The hotel is about 200m from the Imerovigli bus stop for buses to Fira and from there to the rest of the island. We used the bus a lot, going to Oia and to Akrotiri to see the excavations. Less than €2 per person per journey on large modern buses.

Also lots of restaurants within walking distance, although we found the hotel was actually better value in some cases.

If you’re thinking of this hotel, do look at the photos posted by other users. There are many many stairs, only some of which can be avoided using the lifts. I would say the hotel is not at all suitable for those with mobility issues. For the same reason it is not recommended for small children either - the pools are also not very child friendly and to be realistic, there is not much for kids generally on Santorini.

However, it was perfect for us.

When we arrived at Andromeda Villas we were stunned by the views. A sweet man carried out luggage down the stairs and showed us the way to the reception where the waiting time began. We had to wait 30 minutes before anyone would take the time to check us in or ask for our information. There were only 3 couples before us in line and the three receptionists were apparently not working hard. When it became our turn, a solemn receptionist asked for out information and asked us to fill out a paper which were expected. During the next 20 minutes of our check-in “experience” they asked for our names 4 times because we had to change receptionist. During these 20 minutes we had to sit through an ad block. The hotel clearly tried to upsell, and it was a horrible experience. We had driven around the island before our stay at Andromeda Villas, and our plans for our stay there were purely relaxation. We made this clear to the receptionist in the beginning of the ad block, but she just continued because another couple were riding along on this touristy “experience”. After the ad block, we waited for another 10 minutes or so and finally we were led to our room only 30 seconds from the reception – at this time we were just happy to have survived our check in. So please Andromeda ask your guests if they will sit through your upselling before you start – and please respect them if they just want to get to their room. We then waited for 15 minutes for our luggage to arrive.
The room were perfect, the pool was perfect, and the views were breathtaking. They were slow to clean up after peoples drinks and food in the common areas.
They interrupted us a Friday night because they needed information about our check out which we had already told them at the check in. A Friday night! 15 minutes after the call from the reception a man came to our room with a questionnaire. Andromeda, please formalize and organize the information you get from your guests – you really disturbed us this night.
When our stay came to our end, we were told to keep reminding them about an early breakfast. We kept doing so and talked with the reception 3 times. We didn’t get any information about where it was meant to be picked up or if it would be delivered to our room. So, in the morning on our last day, we went to the restaurant which at first didn’t know anything about any early breakfast. At this point my frustrations about the very low level of service reached a tipping point. I just wanted to get out of there!
To summarize: The service was mediocre, and the views were forgiving and breathtaking. We had stayed at a smaller hotel the days before just across the street and they delivered world class service for half the price. Andromeda at this price point there’s not room for faults of this magnitude! We will not be back and will sadly not recommend this hotel or these Villas to others.

Supposed to visit Santorini two years ago (covid) in another hotel in Oia, we've chosen Andromeda this year and were really happy to do it. We arrived in the middle of the night and were a bit lost as no one was there to assist us, anyhow after finding the reception three levels below, the night auditor did almost his job.

The hotel will be renovated end of this year but our suite was well placed right in front of the 'caldera', and enough equipped. The housekeeping is doing great and it must be not easy as all rooms are situated on six levels. Congratulations to the maids.

The staff is mostly gentle and helpful and the manager who welcomed us the next day Mr. Nikos is a really passionate professional and he made his maximum to assist us during our whole stay always with excellent advice. With his help we've seen the most attractive places to visit in Santorini, thank you.

The breakfast is okay, one only regrets they are using chafing dishes for hot food and it doesn't stay always warm when you have your meal.

The hotel was fully booked, but we've always could have a double sunbed as the management is using a serious policy about the use of it.

The team is globally nice and helpful at all times, which may be not easy as we can at the end of the season.

Anyhow, we thank everyone for hosting us during our week of vacation which stay unfogettable.

Wow where to start our stay was magical! We stayed in Santorini at the hotel ground floor room just above the restaurant with sea view for 4 nights & cannot fault hotel at all. The most amazing views of the caldera and the sunset in the evening is phenomenal, truly special to witness! The staff & management at the hotel were amazing, so so helpful & always on hand if you needed help! There is a lot of stairs as many have mentioned but this is to be expected as the island is all up hill so cannot complain about that & staff took bags up all stairs for us when checking out which was lovely! Food and drinks at the hotel were delicious and very reasonably priced compared to other places on the island. Room was cleaned everyday. Plenty of restaurants near by the hotel but most days we went into the town of Thira (fira) which is about 10 minute drive - we always got the hotel to call us a taxi which they were more than happy to do (thanks reception!) so we were never ripped off. Taxi was 15 euros into town & 15 euros back but so worth it as there was so many options if places to eat and bars in the town beside Santorini main square. Top tip also - Book reservations at restaurants for in the evening as they become very very busy as everyone wishes to see the sunset! And stick to booking taxi through hotel so you aren’t ever ripped off. Our stay was truly magical. Can’t thank hotel staff and management enough for making our stay so amazing! Everyone was so kind! Me and my partner would return in a heartbeat.
