This was a special experience to stay in a hotel with a private pool overlooking the caldera and Skyros rock everyday. The room was like a beautiful cave with everything you could want. The furniture was a little low for us but everything else made up for it. They welcomed us with a bottle of wind and cheeses and fruit. Our breakfast was included and served every morning on the patio with stunning views. The staff was the best from reception to the guys who helped us with our luggage. We enjoyed wonderful meals in the restaurant and room service. They even arranged tours for us and the best day sailing on a catamaran. We hated to leave and can't wait to go back. I would mention there were a lot of stairs and we are in our seventies but we took our time and we found it was a small inconvenience for us.

We stayed at Astra Suites for 4 nights during our trip to Greece.
Located in one of the most exotic locations in Imerovigli, overlooking the Aegean Sea and the Volcanic Arc, this is by far one of the BEST and most fancy hotels I’ve ever stayed in!
Upon arrival we are greeted by the Astra Suites staff, who very politely checked us in and explained everything about the Suites as well as Santorini. He was our one point of contact throughout the trip.
We booked in the second category Suite, which had a kitchenette, a sitting area, private balcony, a good sized room and a moderately sized bathroom.
Our room had the MOST amazing view of the Volcanic Arc and the Aegean Sea. One could sit for hours on the balcony overlooking the amazing view. Totally loved it! The bathrooms were equipped with Hermes toiletries- and all modern equipments. The mattress was comfortable and the white all around just made the whole experience surreal. The house keeping was very good too! But the balcony and the view was definitely the BEST part of the entire stay! I would go back just for the view!
The common areas of the pool and the pool bar also offer excellent views!
The service is excellent- with the staff always willing to offer anything that we need at the drop of a hat! They also helped us plan our entire itinerary in Santorini.
The breakfast was one of the most unique aspects of Astra Suites. Breakfast in the room on the balcony overlooking the Aegean Sea was one of the most exotic things of our trip. The coffee and omelette was excellent! They had fantastic vegan and vegetarian options as well. It was a perfect 10/10!
We didn’t have the chance to visit the other restaurants within Astra Suites but I’m sure that the view was totally amazing even in the other spots.
The entire experience at Astra Suites was really amazing. The staff also helped us chose experiences in and around- such as mountain trekking, going to exclusive spots, the best places to go at all times! The concierge service was by far excellent! They even handed us an entire map with the best restaurants to visit when we checked in! Something which a lot of world class resorts or hotels lack!
One of the biggest plus points of Astra was its location. Situated just 15 minutes from Fira, it is extremely well located and has a line up of amazing local restaurants in and around its location. Cabs can be easily hailed from Astra.
All in all it was an excellent stay and I would recommend Astra Suites to anyone traveling to Santorini! I would also go back without a doubt!

I have recently just returned from staying at this hotel having already visited 6 years ago and it did not disappoint! Upon reading reviews online I had seen that room number 101 was refurbed only a year ago and came highly recommended so I had put in a request to stay there for our 7 day vacation. We were incredibly lucky that occupancy was low so the hotel were able to offer us this room and we were greeted with some wine and fruits upon arrival.
I travel around the world a lot and have been fortunate enough to stay in some very luxurious hotels and I can confidently say the customer service and attention to detail at the Astra suites is right up there.
The room had a stunning view which we never tired of seeing and the morning breakfast at the time you required is such a lovely touch and compliments to the chef as the food is simply delicious. I loved being split on two floors and having that extra room but tall people should be cations as the ceiling in the bedroom is low but was not a problem for us.
We had room service several times which was fantastic but unfortunately did not get to try out the new restaurant however, I heard very positive views from other guests.
On the second night we had a knock on the door and was greeted with chocolate truffles and Prosecco to watch the sunset - such a lovely touch and not something you often get when you go to larger hotels abroad.
I was so pleased to see that six years on since our last visit and the service was just as wonderful and all staff at the hotel were so happy and friendly which must be tough given the strained environment we are all in.
We will absolutely be returning, if not this year then definitely next.

We stayed 7 nights at Astra Suites in October 2020. This holiday offered us everything that you can expect from a perfect Greek holiday! The location is the best possible one for a limitless view over the caldera. The staff is super friendly and efficient. Once we arrived at the hotel our suitcases were brought right away to our suite. Stavros, Costas and Celeste are all top professionals in their tasks and take very good care of the guests. The manager George with his staff have managed to create a magical atmosphere in this great property. The premises are very well kept and there is no reason to complain about anything at all. Every single meal from breakfast to dinner was culinary fireworks. We had a beautiful suite with a private pool that had been furnished with wonderful taste by local arts. This unique super friendly hotel really impressed us and we are looking forward to the next opportunity to stay there again. Thank you friends for the Greek hospitality, your are great!

We came here for our honeymoon at the end of May and stayed for 5 nights. You cannot beat this location. The views of the caldera, Skaros rock and the sunset are incredible.
We stayed in an updated suite with an outdoor jetted tub (suite 506). The room was VERY large, clean, had amazing views and was fairly private (it is at the highest point but it is right beside the reception of Kapari resort - there were many people checking in and out and they have a direct view onto the end of the balcony. However, in terms of privacy in Santorini, this suite was probably one of the most private as further privacy would further obstruct the beautiful sunset). The jetted tub was extremely warm (I did read that some hotels do not heat their tubs). Breakfast was served to us on our terrace every morning and they were DELICIOUS. The rooms were cleaned twice a day and towels were replenished twice daily, which was really nice. The only downside of this room in particular was partial obstruction from the sunset due to Kapari Resort’s Reception, so we watched the sunset from the pool instead, which probably had one of the most beautiful views on the island. The safe in the room is very small, so it cannot fit laptops or cameras. The rainfall shower pressure is also pretty weak.
In terms of staff, we felt extremely welcomed by the staff upon arrival. Everyone was extremely pleasant and they are staffed 24/7. They are very helpful in providing information re:tours. The reception staff called us the day before departure to see if we needed any help getting transfers to the airport/port. We left by ferry and they printed our ferry tickets for us, as well as booking our taxi for our departure. Our ferry left long after check-out and they stored our luggage in their hospitality room, which had a bathroom and shower as well. We really enjoyed the two bartenders at the pool who seemed to go above and beyond.
The pool is an incredible infinity pool and it was heated in May, which was great (the pools get really cold in the summer in Santorini as most resorts do not heat the pools in the summer).
The five senses restaurant at the hotel has an incredible view. We did order their food directly to our balcony the first night and the food was very good.
Overall, we would certainly recommend Astra Suites and their attention to details in making sure guests had a wonderful time did not go unnoticed. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

We stayed in one of the best suites in Astra for a week. The decor and views were outstanding. The communal bar and pool area had a great chilled vibe and the barman made fantastic cocktails! The only downsides we had about here were the maids arrive extremely early in the morning to clean your balcony which wakes you up - not very relaxing! The main member of staff on reception was, at times, rude and dismissive, given the amount of money we paid to stay. Other than that it was a fab location at the top of the hill with the best views of the caldera & sunset. Lovely for a honeymoon or special occasion.

The location and views make this place, with stunning sunsets over the caldera every evening. Room was cute (on the small side) but tastefully decorated with a private balcony, where breakfast was served each day. The restaurant was very nice - tasty food; however the service for drinks was a little slow. However the manageress was very open to feedback and rectified this with drinks on the house. The staff were very friendly, especially Nico (the barman) who was lovely and informative about the island and recommendations on places to eat. We met some fabulous people during our visit and enjoyed plenty of drinks at the hotel bar!! Thank you Astra Suites.

I found Astra Suites on Mr and Mrs Smith and chose it based on the reasonable price point for a luxury hotel in Imerovigli. I was completely blown away by the hotel - it is even more beautiful than the photos. My boyfriend and I booked a Senior Suite and it was huge with a pretty private balcony and a direct view of the caldera and volcano. The pictures of the rooms online don't do it justice.
George and all the staff were extremely helpful with changes, booking cars, dinner reservations and COVID tests to come to the hotel.
The pool was not crowded and was great, we spent a few days there drinking cocktails with Nikos the bartender and swimming. We also had 2 dinners at Five Senses the hotel restaurant and loved it - go at sunset! Its right next to the Auberge and some other great spots, so you can easily walk to dinners.
I will 100% return to Astra, I actually think it's under priced for the service and location, and I highly recommend it for couples or a chill group of friends looking to relax.

We stayed at Astra Suites 16-20th October 2021 and whilst the weather (19-20c) wasn’t typical for that time of year (according to the locals) we witnessed the absolute most breathtaking views and sunsets from our terrace.
If you want peace, and not being too over looked which is of course quite tricky in Santorini due to there being 800 hotels crammed onto a tiny island, choose room 506.
We had no one above us and no one to the left and whilst it was pretty steep steps down to the hotel reception, being near the top meant it was a short stroll to the square and very nice restaurants, check Anogi and Avocado for traditional fare.
We stayed in the hot tub suite and that was a highlight (many times over) sitting in it, watching the incredible, ever changing skies.
We explored all of the caldera side of the island and believe me, we had the best views.
Only downside is that you are right next to another hotel but the room adjacent is their reception so you don’t get anyone sitting on the balcony for prolonged periods. Also, be prepared to be crammed in with many other hotels, when you stand up, everyone can see you and vice versa.
Breakfast is served on your balcony every day, food of your own choice and you can be as much of a piggy as you choose, decent choice.
We ate at their restaurant ‘Five senses’ on the first night, really nice food, romantic with lovely views.
The bed is MASSIVE! The shower is lush with two separate heads.
The whole room is spacious with loads wardrobe space and really beautifully done without being too showy.
I think Astra suites is very good value and a great location if you want the quieter side of things.
Costas was super warm and helpful and all the team will help you with anything they can.
We arranged a catamaran tour through them and had a great day out touring the island.
Very sad to say goodbye to the views and the hotel, definitely the highlight of the whole holiday.

This was our second stay at Hotel Astra suites and we did not regret it. Last time we booked a cheaper category (classic junior suite), this time we had a suite with outdoor jetted tub and a pool suite. I researched for a long time which is the best suite with outdoor jetted tub and chose number 307 at the very bottom with maximum privacy. We were very happy with our choice, fantastic view from the jetted tub on the sunset and very bright room thanks to many windows. The upper suites with outdoor jetted tub at the level of the reception have a larger balcony and a more beautiful view (because higher up), but are visible and the jetted tub is in the back with less panoramic view than number 307.
Compared to newer hotels, the rooms are less stylish (but very well maintained), but the prices are lower and the location is one of the best. There are only two of the pool suites, both are equally good and are next to each other. The pool is quite cold even in the height of summer, while the jetted tub is very warm and invites you to watch the sunset-
The service is extremely friendly, at the reception, at the pool bar or for breakfast (which is brought to the room). The terrace for dinner is newly renovated and looks gorgeous, but we did not eat there because the menu offers almost only meat and fish and has too little choice for vegetarians. Too bad, we would have loved to eat there. Despite our own pool and jettet tub, we often spent the afternoon at the large pool. Even when the hotel was fully booked, we always found a place.
We have also stayed several times at the hotel grace santorini, which is right next to the Astra suites. Grace santorini has the more modern decor and is hipper, but most rooms have little privacy and a small terrasse with often no lounge chairs. For a change, the bar with large terrace at grace santorini is very nice, but I would choose Astra suites again mainly because of the family service and very good value for money.

Hello
There are many restaurants within walking distance. And while there are not many pool loungers we never waited for one. You won’t regret staying here!
Yes it does! It has both and it’s amazing!
Just out of the bedroom door… 3m from the master bed, you would hear the baby cry for sure
Very quiet and felt private
Views are incredible
