We recently stayed at the Avaton resort in the Avaton Suite, which we would definitely recommend. Every night we were amazed by the beautiful views of the sunset that we watched from the hot tub!
We booked directly with the hotel, they organised free transfers from the airport which helped to make the trip stress free. They also organised a free car rental for the day and treated us to a spa treatment each.
The level of service was incredible, definitely 5*, all the staff were brilliant, extremely helpful and don't seem to take a day off! Special shoutout to Kyriakos and Zoe and the chef for making my special request of pancakes on our last day. Breakfast was amazing (that orange juice!) and it was made even better with the incredible views from the balcony. Tried to recreate it at home but a bowl of corn flakes in the garden isn't quite the same :(
Location is also absolutely perfect. We'd originally booked a hotel right in the middle of the town but as pretty as they are, these were a bit more overlooked by passers by which could be quite awkward when your husband's prancing around in his budgie smugglers with a glass of fizz.
When we come back, we'll definitely be staying here again!

Wife and I Just back from 7 night stay at hotel. Lovely boutique style spa hotel, spotless and well equipped. Only 9 rooms so made it very quiet and with a small team of staff who were so friendly and absolutely splendid. Hotel is situated at top very end of Imerovigli resort, right on cliff face top overlooking the Caldera with perfect sun set views from the pool/ terrace area and all the rooms ( on arrival you get dropped off at top of a little lane and staff come up to meet you as minibus not allowed down to hotel entrance)Thera is about a 25 min walk if you want the more vibrant night life, but this hotel was perfect for us. Tips….. take trainers little rucksack and some clothes you’d wear on summer hikes as the island layout encourages you to take long walks with amazing views. No mosquitos spotted by us. Lastly I’m very fussy about where I stay and dread that arrival trepidation, but the Hotel ticked all my boxes you won’t be disappointed.

Thank you very much for a wonderful stay. The hotel views of Santorini caldera are fabulous from the hotel. We had fun in the pool doing our aqua fit exercises. The water was refreshing after the hot sun. We relaxed on loungers; food and drinks are available to order at any time. The staff are very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed the lovely breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the caldera made by chef Helen and brought to us by Kyriakos and Zoe. Our room was well serviced by Malina, clean linen and basket of fruit, tea and coffee making facilities provided in the room. Thank you to Lefti, Laura and Anna for the airport transfers and car hire and for giving us local information and help on places to visit. It was a pleasure to meet such kind and welcoming hosts and staff. Thank you for everything you all did to make our stay the best it could be.

Just returned after a week here. Couldn't fault anything. Amazing staff providing amazing service. Room was stunning & spotless with wonderful views.Watching the sunset on the balcony sipping champagne was unforgettable. Can't wait to return.

Amazing place and amazing service. Everyone was so happy to help with the smallest detail. The room is very well laid out and the furnishing are high class. This property should be rated five star. The view overlooking the santorini caldera are so beautiful. Sunsets are magical. All the staff in the hotel was amazing. I’ve been traveling for over 40 years and this is the best service ever. The whitewashed building and the crystal blue water in the pool make a beautiful contrast to the mountains around the Caldera Definitely highly recommend.

Our first trip to Santorini and we enjoyed a wonderful week here at Avaton. It is a beautiful hotel in a stunning location with a brilliant team who run it. Bessy is a star and booked everything for us; restaurants (Anogi, Argo, Avocado, Aegean), hire car, taxis and catamaran cruise. Zoe is an absolute delight, preparing and serving our breakfast and lunch beautifully and spoiling our teenage daughter with sweet treats! We loved our room, very spacious and kept very clean. The pool is lovely and a breathtaking view. We took the hire car to the Akrotiri ruins which was great (arrive early to beat the crowds) and enjoyed a lovely trip to Pyrgos. Thoroughly recommend Avaton.

We stayed in the Honeymoon suite which was lovely, it had the most amazing view of the caldera with an outdoor hottub! Breakfast is served on your balcony every day overlooking the caldera, perfect start to the day! The hotel is small so the service is really personable. Special thanks to Kostas who have us lots of advice and organised lots of restaurants and taxis for us. Emilios is also lovely, nothing is too much trouble for these two great guys! We also took the free car hire and toured the whole island. Kostas upgraded us on our last day to the Avaton suite which was absolutely amazing!!! A highlight! The spa is also great, very relaxing, we got complementary treatments from Kostas. The location of the hotel is perfect, away from the hustle of Fira and Oia. Imerogivili is quiet but we enjoyed being away from the crowds. Some great restaurants nearby, we ate at Avacado, The Wine Bar, Aegean, Astra Suites and also ate in Fira and Oia. You can easily walk along the caldera to Fira. Oia is further but a lovely walk over the hill and beautiful views. A visit to Ammoudi Bay in Oia is also a must! Santorini is truly beautiful, the sunsets are stunning all over the island and especially at Avaton, hopefully Mr & Mrs Andy will be back one day!!

Firstly, Bessy is a brilliant host. She catered to our every need, and nothing was too much trouble. She took care of all our dining reservations, recommendations on where to go etc. she really does make the place, and Zoe was also a fantastic host. We used the Spa for a couples massage which was great.
We stayed in the honeymoon suite which has 2 balconies (one with hot tub), and the best sunset view as you are right on the end of of the property.
The infinity pool was the star attraction of this hotel, facing out over the sea. There is a footpath that runs in front of it that takes you into firistefani and then Fira (and is the most picturesque and “Santorini esque” walk).
Breakfast was amazing (pictures provided), which set you up well for the day.
We spent most days by the pool relaxing, never getting bored of the amazing view.
There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and we loved the location as it was so quiet and relaxed, yet close enough to everything you may need.
We found this to be the perfect location to stay whilst on our visit to Santorini (we did stay at another location on the island). This had the best mix of true Santorini, and not too much hustle and bustle (like Oia).
We watched the sunset every night from our Balcony, then ventured out for dinner.
We would certainly recommend this as a place to stay, along with its fine local Greek hospitality provided by Zoe and Bessy.
We must also not forget to mention Sakis, who worked hard all day helping with breakfast and everyone’s luggage up those stairs !

From checking in to checking out your made to feel special at this hotel. Bessy and Zoe work tirelessly to make sure you get the best out of your stay, with recommendations for restaurants, walks or anything you need help with. Perfect views of the caldera to watch the sunset each evening in a relaxing atmosphere with one of their amazing cocktails. The spa is so peaceful we had a couples massage which was lovely. Breakfast is delivered to your room each morning, so you can enjoy at your leisure with plenty to choose. We had a late flight home and we were really looked after till we left. We were able to take a shower and change, they served us dinner in the spa which was so lovely and cozy. Would highly recommend this hotel for the personal service. Location is right on the edge of the caldera, you can walk to Thira this takes around 40 mins, bear in mind the path contains many steps and inclines but the views are amazing! Imerovigli has quite a few restaurants nearby to choose from also. Would definitely stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

We were picked up at the airport and taken care of until we reached the beautiful hotel on the edge of the famous Santorini caldera. The view is just breathtaking.
All hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rarely have we been able to enjoy such hospitality anywhere else. It's really an outstanding service provided by the Avaton Resort.
We had a room on the upper floor, called deluxe room (totally worth the premium!). It was equiped with a private balcony which is overlooking the pool and the caldera. Every morning a friendly staff member brought us the complimentary breakfast to our balcony, which we ordered the evening before. Having breakfast in such a intimate atmosphere is a fantastic way to start the day.
The hotel convinced us in all aspects, from the infinity pool, the restaurant to the cleanliness and equipment of the rooms. The best thing was the staff, who really cared for their guest with an above-and-beyond service so that the guests could enjoy a nice stay.

The Avaton consists of individual units based around the pool...but each unit has its own veranda where breakfast is served to guests....
They also have upper units...which have a balcony overlooking the pool...
It is a lovely place.....

Thank you for your question! Both suites offer an outdoor jacuzzi and a breathtaking view of the Santorini caldera and the sunset, but the Avaton Suite is much more spacious than the Honeymoon Suite, with a seperate seating area and bedroom, an open plan bathroom with a bathtub and a seperate shower cabin, dining table and a private balcony with a minipool/jacuzzi. Honeymoon Suite is a cozy corner room with two balconies, one of which features a mini pool/jacuzzi.
