Stayed 3 nights. Would like to say a big thank you to Susan for making our stay that little bit more special. Come as guests leave as friends. The place is so peaceful. Very grand but not pretentious. You feel at home a really nice home. Snooker, pool, tv bar area. We're your made very welcome. One of the best breaks we've had. And Sue's breakfast easy 10 out of 10 the best. Paul Paula

Tall Trees Country House B & B is located about 4 miles outside of Denbigh. It is owned by Susan and Owen, run by Susan. For me it is difficult to describe the style of the interior. There will be a word for it, but I don't know it. I did notice that there were a lot of pastel colours, more traditional than modern, baby grand piano grandfather clock, dark polished timber. Quite a large lobby with lots of sitting / dining spaces and a large staircase. EVERYTHING IN THIS HOUSE IS IMMACULATELY CLEAN. The bedrooms were large. We were first in so we got a choice of rooms and we chose the room with a view over the pool. Again, spotlessly clean. Susan had provided everything you could need. Not just the usual shampoo and conditioner but toothpaste, toothbrush, razor, feminine products even contact lens solution. The room had a complimentary bottle of water, some snacks, biscuits and sweets, the usual tea and coffee (nice selection of teas). Shame our kettle lead didn't quite reach the plug socket but we moved the kettle. The pool area was quite unique. Very large for the amount of guests. It was heated to a very comfortable temperature. It was like stepping into an enormous hot tub. Again, Susan had thought of everything and provided towels, bathing costumnes, pool toys and inflatables. There was a shower room / WC in the pool area so no need to enter the house wet. No drinks license at Tall Trees but there is a well stocked bar. Full size snooker table which is incredible. Breakfast was beautiful. Locally sourced products, fruit and berries from the garden. Nice menu with a good selection. I went for the full breakfast everyday but we also had an omelette one day and I'm convinced it was at least 4 eggs. As for the hosts, a class apart. Nothing was too much trouble for Susan. She left you alone to enjoy the surroundings but was always available to help if needed. I noticed other guests were off on walking trips and Susan provided lunches for them and even transport. Some guests were even driven to their evening meals (Tall trees really is very isolated) On our last night we decided to buy some food from a supermarket and enjoy a bottle of wine poolside. To our surprise, Susan's husband Owen presented us with a lovely chilled bottle of white, on the house. A lovely touch. Usually, I don't go back to the same place as I like to experience different things. I would definitely go here again though.…
The location was wonderful- the grounds and surrounding area are lovely. The heated pool is a definite plus. The breakfasts were delicious- fresh ingredients which were well cooked. Our room and the property were spotlessly clean. We used our own but the room had all the toiletries you would need. Our host Susan was very welcoming and made us feel at home. Little touches in the rooms such as bottle of water, little chocolates and biscuits were nice. There is lots of outdoor seating - we particularly enjoyed sitting on the balcony to have a drink because the views are beautiful. The B&B is in a handy location for exploring North Wales, and was a peaceful and relaxing place to come back to after a day out. There was nothing we disliked a little TLC or attention would add to the overall experience, such as darker/blackout curtains in the bedrooms, bigger duvet on the bed, fixing snags (windows locks not quite working properly, seals gone on windows). In our room it took a while to get hot water and when it came through it was hard to shower as water would be either too hot or too cold. There is nowhere to eat or drink in walking distance so just be aware you would need to drive for this. It wasn’t an issue for us, but helpful to be aware. There are no TV’s in the rooms. Again not an issue as we knew this from booking site and brought an iPad with us and there is a TV room in the B&B. The listing clearly does not include TV in rooms and just worth being aware when booking.…
