Detailed Reviews
Where do I start, my partner and I had never experienced a B&B before so went in with an open mind... Despite arriving late at 9pm we were greeted by sue who made us feel extremely comfortable and excited for our stay as she gave us a tour around the beautiful country house and gave us complimentary drinks in the TV room to start our break off. We were blown away by the how stunning and large the house was and were able to choose from three rooms by which we chose one with the most magnificent view of a mountainous landscape (they all had magnificent views) and a clean and modern ensuite bathroom that included toiletries (bath soap, shower cream, shampoo and conditioner and even a selection of skin care) making us feel at home.
The next day we woke up to see a beautiful view outside of our window as the sun shined on the mountains which made our day before we had even stepped out of the room! Then we had our breakfast at exactly the time we stated we wanted it and this was a selection of fresh fruit and we opted for the Welsh breakfast from a large menu this was all a selection of local produce and was the nicest cooked breakfast we have ever had... absolutely perfect.
Even though the English weather was downcast, we enjoyed the heated outdoor pool that was a lovely touch on our stay and we then enjoyed a game of snooker and a series of board games they provided for entertainment! We were met by Sues husband Owen who was just a bundle of joy and was also extremely welcoming serving my partner a complimentary alcoholic bevearge and sharing stories with the lovely couple!
Overall we had the most amazing time here at Tall trees with fantastic hosts not to mention the gorgeous dog Max and we will definitely be coming back!
Thankyou Sue and Owen :)

The location was wonderful- the grounds and surrounding area are lovely. The heated pool is a definite plus. The breakfasts were delicious- fresh ingredients which were well cooked. Our room and the property were spotlessly clean. We used our own but the room had all the toiletries you would need. Our host Susan was very welcoming and made us feel at home. Little touches in the rooms such as bottle of water, little chocolates and biscuits were nice. There is lots of outdoor seating - we particularly enjoyed sitting on the balcony to have a drink because the views are beautiful.
The B&B is in a handy location for exploring North Wales, and was a peaceful and relaxing place to come back to after a day out.
There was nothing we disliked a little TLC or attention would add to the overall experience, such as darker/blackout curtains in the bedrooms, bigger duvet on the bed, fixing snags (windows locks not quite working properly, seals gone on windows). In our room it took a while to get hot water and when it came through it was hard to shower as water would be either too hot or too cold.
There is nowhere to eat or drink in walking distance so just be aware you would need to drive for this. It wasn’t an issue for us, but helpful to be aware.
There are no TV’s in the rooms. Again not an issue as we knew this from booking site and brought an iPad with us and there is a TV room in the B&B. The listing clearly does not include TV in rooms and just worth being aware when booking.

Just came back from Tall Trees, after being shown the house and our rooms we were then welcomed by Susan with complementary drinks and nibbles out on the balcony which was so nice, The home is lovely and spacious and with plenty of places to chill in, our rooms were lovely and so clean with the added little extras that was unexpected and such a lovely touch which shows what a great host Susan is. The pool was wonderful and certainly went down well, oh and not forgetting the wonderful breakfasts that Susan cooked us every morning. I would most definitely be going back.

We choose this lovely country home to stay in for my friends 30th as a quiet getaway in the country. The house is absolutely stunning and even though the weather wasn't perfect we still managed a couple of swims in the pool over the weekend we stayed. The pool is heated so it was perfect.
The house was absolutely spotless so clean and everything in its place.
Sue the owner of the house was so welcoming as soon as we arrived. She's such a kind lady and nothing was to much trouble for her. We were offered welcoming drinks on arrival at no charge to us which again was such lovely gesture.
As we had been out all day already on the Friday we go to the house abit later than planned but Sue was still happy to open up the pool for us to use.
We wanted to have afew drinks that night so we asked if we could buy a bottle off the bar but instead we just replaced it the next day this was no trouble at all. We enjoyed use of the games area a huge snooker table to.
The Breakfast was out of this world. I myself have travelled alot and never had a breakfast like it. All made by the lovely Sue. Fresh juice, locally sourced jam and honey and the best avocado I've ever tried. I must ask how she cooked it just wow!
Our bedrooms were lovely and we had everything in them we needed. Hairdryers, coffee, tea, toiletries. Absolutely fantastic.
Sue's family were also so welcoming and made you feel right at home.
If your looking for a peaceful getaway this is the house to choose.
Thankyou Sue for everything you made our weekend extra special and I hope to return one day :-)

Susan was very welcoming and pleasant for our whole stay.
Her cooking is above and beyond with a decent selection for breakfast.
Our room was spotless and had amazing views.
We slept comfortably. It was quiet and peaceful.
Although not making full use of the facilities they too were kept in a spotless condition.
We will definitely want to return again.
Thank you Sue :)

One of the best B&B you will ever visit . Absolutely faultless. Susan your host is a special very talented lady who goes the extra mile . She makes her home your own with out making you feel you are intruding . The facilities are excellent especially the heated pool . The breakfast is first class and I feel if you visit once you will undoubtedly want to visit again . We certainly will ! A big thumbs up from Bella our Dog too ….

Stayed for 5 nights.
Probably the best guest house we have ever stayed in!
Lovely views, very comfortable bedroom and en-suite, spotlessly clean.
Delicious breakfast with lots of choice, I worked my way through the menu!
Very friendly hosts, nothing is too much trouble.
We will definitely be staying there again!

Stayed 3 nights. Would like to say a big thank you to Susan for making our stay that little bit more special. Come as guests leave as friends. The place is so peaceful. Very grand but not pretentious. You feel at home a really nice home. Snooker, pool, tv bar area. We're your made very welcome. One of the best breaks we've had. And Sue's breakfast easy 10 out of 10 the best.

We stayed at the Tall Trees for two nights recently, whilst attending a local wedding. We had not stayed here previously but were pleasantly surprised to find an immaculate house, with it's own heated swimming pool.
In itself the quality of the house and the breakfast would have made this an excellent stay but the real joy was the hospitality and friendliness of the hosts, Susan and Owen, they made us feel like we were friends dropped in for the weekend.
I cannot recommend the Tall Trees for anyone looking for somewhere special to stay in North Wales
