Holiday Beach in Santorini is a very well managed and welcoming structure, with a delightful small 'vintage' hall and an excellent large swimming pool in which you can also swim. The room where I stayed for two days was small, but very comfortable and clean, with a splendid terrace from which you could see the sea. Perissa beach is about ten minutes away on foot. The location of the Resort is excellent for getting around Santorini, even by bus: 50 meters away is the bus stop that takes you to the splendid Thira. The breakfast is very good.

The Holiday Beach Resort came highly recommended by very close friends and it did not disappoint. I would highly highly highly highly recommend this resort to anyone. Dimetra, family and staff made us feel at home, almost as if we were family. The staff were friendly, food and beverage service was excellent and the rooms and resort was very clean. The ocean view from our second floor terrace was also beautiful. The resort made arrangements (for an additional cost of course) to pick us up and drop us back at the airport. There were five of us traveling. Upon arrival we also noticed that they book excursions and have transportation rental services (quad/scooter and car) available. Most importantly, it was quiet and peaceful. We have visited the island before (stayed in Fira) and if we decide to come back..... we would definitely stay here again.

Great value for the money, if you're planning a beach holiday with little bit of sightseeing! I've stayed at the hotel for a week and totally recommend it! Airport pick-up and check-in were easy and totally met my expectations, although I arrived late at night. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. They speak English well enough to communicate. They helped me to book a morning cruise to the caldera and rent a Quad bike to explore the island on my own (both things: VERY recommendable!). Everything was great! I will come back again for sure!

The room: looks like the ones in the picture, well equipped with an AC, a fridge (great for cooling water and fruits), a flat screen TV, a desk with a mirror, two comfy beds and a small balcony. The bathroom is rather small, but big enough for a week. The room is cleaned daily and it all felt very comfortable to me. Also: The breakfast room and pool area are really nice and enjoyable.

Breakfast: Very delicious; includes: coffee/tea, bread, jam, honey, greek yoghurt, a boiled egg, orange juice and water. It is not included in the price (5€/ off season), BUT this information is given on every website and when checking in!

Location: in walking distance to the beach (7 to 10 minutes, depending on your speed), in walking distance to a mini-supermarket, to lots of restaurants and bars next to the beach and to the bus stop to FĂra (2 minutes). From FĂra you can take buses to OĂa, to AkrotĂri, to KamarĂ, the ferry port AthĂnos (20 minutes) and the airport (10 minutes).

I stayed for 3 days and 7 hours in this hotel in July. The room was in kind of a basement not bad for Santorini though. The facilites were ok( tv,air con, hair dryer). But the room had literally no sound insulation, you could hear EVERYTHING.For the days we stayed they DID NOT CHANGE THE SHEETS AT ALL.🤮The lady that was in charge was a bit weird though. She was asking me every day before going to the beach to pay her the full amount . I told her i don’t mind giving her a deposit ( as i offered and she said no it’s not necessary) I explained her that we always pay at the end of our acomondation and she was making me feel embarrassed in front of my family members.
At the end she asked me to pay her a full day for the extra 7 hours we stayed. On the wall there was a sign saying you get charged extra 50% for the amount of hours we stayed extra not full day. But she insisted so I just paid her. Definitely not going back but if you are desperate for an overnight sleep it’s ok.

What a scam. The "travel agency" employee who recommended this hotel turned out to be the owners daughter. She promised us a wonderful room with a view of the ocean. Bring your binoculars or a picture of the ocean to look at while sitting in your shabby, broken-down ghetto room. The only good thing about staying at the Villa was that we checked out after 1 night and went to Fira. Save yourself the trouble and go straight there.

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and the room was awful. We should have stayed at a hostel and saved money. The only good thing about this hotel was the pool which I was tempted to sleep by since the beds were so lumpy. I slept on the hard floor instead of the bed for two nights! This hotel does not have a phone or tv in the room and makes you pay extra for air conditioning! We had a view of a broken down car when we opened our window. We planned on staying 5 nights and left after a painful 3 nights. I suggest waiting to get a hotel/room until you get to this island as there are great deals as you exit the plane or boat. We could have gotten a room in someone's house for around 15 euro per night that would have been exceptional compared to this dump. We are still waiting for our refund of the prepaid nights. This dump says they are minutes away from the beach....try a 10-15 minute walk.

We were also scammed by the travel agency, as was another person who booked through the same agency. You come off the ferry, and this is the first accommodation agency you see. However it's not all bad, the worst part about the villa is that the beach is really a bit far to walk, getting to the beach is fine - but it's up hill on the way back. We hired a quad bike, but of course that's an additional cost. Quad bike I think was 20 euros a day. We got the room for 40 euros a night. I dare say we could have paid that for somewhere on the beach. The pool was very nice and we did get one of the better rooms which over looked the pool. I believe only two rooms over look the pool. Most don't. The lady who runs the place doesn't speak english.

Just like the other reviewers, we had a nightmare stay here in October 2006.

We were travelling independently and arrived off the ferry without pre-booked accommodation. We took the risk and we paid for it unfortunately.

The accommodation office we ended up in, was staffed by a woman who was selling her own hotel rooms. She had a glossy brochure showing lovely rooms and when we asked her how far it was from the beach, she said 5 mins (yeh, right, if you can fly!). We were duped into paying for a room initially for 3 nights but we told her we may want 7 nights and along with about 9 other people we were driven up the switchback road over to "Perissa" - it wasn't Perissa as we found out soon enough.

We were given the room shown on one of the other reviews overlooking the pool and as soon as we saw all the rules and regulations (don't do this, don't do that or you will be charged etc etc.....) and realised that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by barking dogs, half finished buildings, we knew we had been brought to a inferior hotel.

As soon as we checked in, the owner/driver/general dogsbody ran into the bar, put some music on and started to serve beer (the only good thing about the place and quite cheap considering). Later on she disappeared in her van, no doubt to catch the next lot of suckers at the port.

We ventured out to find somewhere to eat and had to walk some distance down a poorly lit main road for at least 30 mins. After one sleepless night feeling like right idiots, we got up the next day, paid and made a sharp exit by hiring a car and going to Kamari which is a much nicer resort and we found a brilliant hotel there for the same price.

This woman no doubt makes an adequate living by reeling in tourists off ferries for one night stays, without putting in much effort at all. I can't imagine anyone wanting to stay at her hotel for any longer! So DON'T go there, you have been warned!

Well, the title says it all. The place is infested with everyone's favourite insect, the COCKROACH. By the end of your visit there, you will start your day singing that famous Mexican tune, La Cucaracha!

So, if you can get past the other "guests", you can look forward to a wire mattress, which squeaks like you wouldn't believe. (My wife stopped me from cheering on the couple in the next room, if you know what I mean).

Then, if you want to go to the beach, you have an 800 meter walk in the wonderful, cloudless Santorini sun. This is about at 15 minute walk. Which would be fine, except there is no shade and there are no side walks. Go early.

Finally, the staff were somewhat surly, so good luck!
