My significant other and I came to the resort to celebrate our friend’s wedding. There was a large group of us and we all had an absolutely amazing time. The staff was friendly, always greeted us with a smile, polite and the service was phenomenal. We hope to be back soon! Shout out to the activity team members Merari and Stewart. They gave us an experience we will never forget and created a fun environment throughout our stay. Also, the transportation crew, especially Nelson, were accommodating at all times and provided us a cool ride to and from our room. The entire staff was truly amazing, this trip would not have been as successful as it was without them. PURA VIDA!!

We had a great time. Food was excellent. Activities were fun. Housekeeping was great. There were a few times in the evenings around dinner where you did have to wait a bit longer for the shuttle but Marcos and the rest of the staff were amazing! Highly suggest the rum tasting!

Secrets Papagayo definitely is showing its age. We had ants in our shower, service was slow and the overall appearance of the resort looked worn. Food was pretty mediocre and drinks were full of sugar. We would not recommend traveling to this resort, but would recommend Costa Rica, particularly the Arenal Volcano area to others.

This resort is wonderful laid back and relaxing! Employees are great. Food was delicious, we were her celebrating My husbands 60th birthday and they made it memorable. We took a fishing and waterfall excursion thru Matt’s Fishing Guide both were wonderful fishing my husband caught 3 large Rooster Fish! La Leona water Falls was absolutely beautiful!

Great resort. Close to Liberia airport. We arrived early for one night and Joann helped us check in. She was the absolute best to accomodate us to find us the best room for our 10yr anniversary! The rooms are amazing. Great design and luxury. It has everything you can think of. Yalmar really gave me alot of knowledge of costa rica since i was looking to surf. He is a great friend! The pool party is fun. Alot of pool games and music! The bartenders are extremely smart remembering your drinks and delivering them faster then you drink them!

The best thing about this resort is the people who work here. Shout outs to Stewart for bracelet making and kayaking!! Yasniri for dance lessons, Jose and Donald for the great drinks, Erick, Nelly, Eduardo and Fabrizio and all the wonderful servers and hosts in the restaurants. Thank you for your kindness and friendliness. The resort is pretty, but could use some updating. Outdoor furniture could use new paint or replacement. Some of the small tables by the pool are covered with dried food. Also, they need more lounge chairs and umbrellas around the main pools. If you like to sleep in, chances are you will have a hard time finding a shady spot. The sun is quite hot here. The resort is advertised as all-inclusive, with gratuities included. However, we observed quite a bit of tipping by other guests which was awkward for us. I think the resort should reconsider its policy of allowing staff to accept tips. It creates a sense of those who tip getting better service. A better system might be to provide guests with envelopes at the end of their stays to acknowledge exceptional service by staff members. The food is mostly good; we ate most of our meals at the seaside grill, aqua, and Portofino. We found our meals there to be the best tasting. The market cafe had a nice salad and fruit bar, but we found the other offerings there to be pretty tasteless. All in all we had a lovely relaxing stay. Awesome resort. Hans , Ronnie , Jeffrey and Donald all from the bar made our trip the most memorable! The resort is spread out but transportation is available easily. Spa services were excellent from Kembly and Marilyn. I do not remember her name but the lady at Coco Cafe was fantastic! The Baileys frappe was a daily necessity.
