From the moment we arrived the service was friendly and efficient and the entire stay was an absolute pleasure. The location is perfect for accessing the wineries and everything there is to see and do in the hunter valley. We had the 2 bedroom apartment which was spacious and perfect for our needs. The facility has a great bar and restaurant also

My second time booking the Grand Mercure Accor Vacation Club Apartments. I was there on last weekend in November which was busy. This was very much a trip that took planning and shifting reservation dates a few times as rules for travel to Hunter kept changing. The team were great and patient on getting a date settled that finally worked. I was sent a personalised welcome letter in advance of stay and setting expectations well in advance. Check-in was quick and painless. I was able to check in early, get settled and relax. The team are very polite, welcoming, and professional. The room was spotless and no complaints. The team also accommodated a late check-out as well which was perfect so we could leave and head straight to our lunch reservation. I look forward to a future stay!

Very nice apartments set up with just about everything you need to enjoy your stay. We had a 2 bedroom apartment (for only a couple) and probably could have accommodated at least a whole big family. Not much of a view but we were playing golf and eating out mainly.Close to the golf club restaurants, just a 5 minute walk away. Would stay again.

Have stayed before, appartments are well designed and great for short stays. Staff are always welcoming and helpful. Shame we couldn’t use our cards at restaurant but did get some discount on bistro purchases.

Very comfortable, big, spacious apartments. Loved the comfy bed.Very quiet and relaxing. Has everything needed in rooms, but did notice no clothes airer to hang clothes on to dry instead using the dryer, after washing. Wifi signal does go weaker (depends were in apartment) or cuts off at times on devices but can easily turn it back on. Is close to wineries that were going to see. Other than that, will probably come and stay again

We stayed for two nights in a 1-bedroom apartment as a romantic mini-break from our busy lives of work and parenting. The room was spacious and well-appointed. However, as the trip went on a number of things disappointed us. 1) The king-sized bed, though large, was not the most comfortable. No mattress topper and pillows were quite flat. 2) The lovely gas fireplace warmed us well the first night, however by night two it was out of fluid. There was no replacement fluid nor instructions how to replace. Reception closed after 8pm. No other heating. So it was a cold night for us. 3) On day 2, two gardeners came into our courtyard and started mowing and talking loudly directly outside our bedroom window. We felt our privacy had been invaded. 4) The only restaurant on site was closed for our entire stay, as was the nearby day spa. This wasn’t mentioned when we booked. Given the price, I really expected much better and given the choice again, I would probably stay somewhere else.

Dear screename_schmeename Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Grand Mercure The Vintage Accor Vacation Club Apartments. It is as a result of constructive feedback such as yours that we are able to review our standards and adjust operations making guest stays more enjoyable. It has certainly been challenging adjusting to the current "Covid normal", juggling services and facilities in line with government guidelines and hotel occupancies, but certainly communication is key to ensure our guests are aware of the most current restrictions. I apologies that the facility hours were not updated and you were unable to access assistance with your fireplace during the evening. Our property manager has been forwarded your review so that he can look at addressing all of the points you have raised and I am confident that we can make improvements. Thank you again for your feedback and I hope that if you are in the area on another occasion you will consider staying with us again. Warm regards Resort Operations

We have stayed here before and we once again enjoyed our stay, this time in a king one bedroom apartment. The apartment was comfortable, clean and well designed. The common areas (pool etc) are also immaculate. My only minor complaint is the lack of required cleaning equipment (scourer, adequate soap etc) as well as the standard of tea and coffee supplied in the rooms - Nescafé blend 43? Cmon guys, you can do better than that. The only other current issue is the lack of reasonable dining options at The Vintage. The single onsite restaurant is not associated with the Grand Mercure and is useless - their take away options are terrible, even during COVID meaning you either have to drive some distance from the property to dine out or get take away, or you need to self cater. This is not the fault of the Mercure in anyway, however it does make life difficult for guests who want to eat nearby to their apartment. The super helpful staff at the Mercure reception advised that there is a number of other dining options being planned for The Vintage in the near future, which should address these concerns - this would have been a 5 star stay if there were some reasonable dining options available. Thanks for a great stay - we will be back (once The Pavillon is in operation).

We booked five two bedroom units for 20 ladies and enjoyed our stay immensely. I booked through Accor Vacation Club (they matched the rate quote from The Vintage directly.) From what I was told Vacation Club have access to more apartments. Our request for a ground floor unit and to be close together were met and the units were very comfortable with a full kitchen, dining and lounge room and a lovely gas fireplace. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and you can walk for miles around the estate. Check in is a little tricky as it’s at the real estate at the roundabout before you drive in although I’m not sure if this arrangement is permanent. Also, there is a new development being built nearby called “The Pavilions” that will have restaurants, cafes, deli and other shops on site.

The reception staff were very quick and helpful. We stayed one night in a 2 bedroom ground apartment. It was very spacious, open plan with a gas fire, well equipped kitchen and nice little outdoor seating both ends of the apartment. We had 2 king beds which were comfortable. Apartment was clean. Loved the large bath tub, in each en-suite too! If I was trying to pick a few faults: We could hear the people in the above apartment with general moving around furniture, doors etc. just unfortunate being ground floor unfortunately. Check in is up near round about which might be got if noted if possible as we had a little trouble finding it. The buffet breakfast which was a short stroll up the road was delicious, and lovely friendly service. we had an excellent stay with our two toddlers. We requested two high chairs which were there waiting on arrival in our rooms. The two bedroom apt would be perfect accommodation for two couples wanting to stay together - having own en-suites and privacy. I would recommend to others and would certainly stay here again if attending the Pokolbin region.
