A few days were enough for us because we were devoured by mosquitoes, It is a family hotel with a lot of charms, the staff was very good but the children of the clients made too much noise, total disappointment

Response from Sandra BERGER, Propriétaire at Charembeau
Responded 8 Aug 2020
Dear KeshaWW, We are truly sorry that your experience in Charembeau was not as good as expected. Unfortunately, few mosquitoes are around during the summer time at Charembeau. We do our best to stop them from coming in the rooms, for this, there are mosquitoes netting at the windows. As you might understand, children are so happy to play in our swimming pool and also around the park, we are sorry if you felt this as an inconvenient. We hope to see you again in Charembeau, maybe at another season which you could enjoy more. Finally, staff is thanking you for your kind words and wish you a great day, Best regards, Boris Berger

We travelled to admire the region looking for lavender fields and explore the gorges du Verdon. The landscapes, the colors and the hikes were true pleasure. Certainly, for our two day excursion, we did not pick the most central accommodation but certainly it was a most comfortable, cosy and convivial hotel. We were welcomed warmly, the room was large and well appointed with a terrace overlooking the property. It was quiet during the day and at night. It was not luxurious, it was simple and refined with nice touches like the Occitane soaps. The hotel has a three star rating and we wondered why it did not get four. Breakfast was excellent with delicious preserves and memorable yaourts. Near the hotel, we found good restaurants recommended by the receptionists. We enjoyed the region very much and the hotel Charembeau made our trip more memorable.

The Charembeau is a gem. The rooms and the hotel grounds are beautifully maintained, with artful touches and sculptures everywhere. The staff is attentive and always polite. Drinks (wine, beer, soft drinks) and snacks (cheese plates, cold cuts) are available until 8pm and are beautifully plated and served. The hotel even offers a free laundry service, with some restrictions, but still! Cannot recommend this beautiful little hotel enough.

Lovely family owned and operated Inn. Rooms were large, well appointed. Beds were very comfortable, bathroom was spa like and A/C worked great. Grounds were beautifully maintained as was pool area. There were areas for a picnic lunch, and trails on the property to explore. Pleasant staff was very accommodating. Hotel offered restful respite from busy days of visiting villages in the area. Situated off a narrow lane approximately 3 km from village of Forcalquier.
