I recently stayed at Panorama for 1 night with a friend. Koprivshtitsa is a lovely small town close to Sofia. The hotel is located about 10 minutes from the bus stop & shops. Town is quite small, everywhere is pretty much within easy walking distance.

The couple who runs the hotel (more like a B&B) was very welcoming on our arrival. Our twin room was small but clean. The room was traditionally decorated and had a lovely view of the town.

Breakfast included in the rate was a nice traditional fare- Bulgarian bread, home made yogurt, tea/coffee etc. Breakfast room was cosy with a fire place.

We loved staying at Panorama because the hosts were extremely warm and kind. Check in and out was so easy. Their laid back attitude was very pleasant and made our holiday easier. When we asked what time breakfast was, the response was ‘whenever you want we’ll prepare for you’. They seem genuinely interested in us having a good holiday in Bulgaria and took time explaining food, Bulgarian culture, town, and history. They speak English fluently. Reservation via email was easy and quick.

If you are after a genuine Bulgarian hospitality and experience, I would highly recommend Panorama.

A little difficult to find as the location is incorrectly located on google maps but once you're there the family run hotel does an excellent job of making your stay comfortable. Upon arrival their first concern was that I get to my room and relax for a bit and get settled in, taking care of the check in formalities later.

The rooms were generously sized with a balcony, a mini fridge and really comfortable mattresses on the beds. There were plenty of outlets to recharge batteries and were conveniently located so that you could use a computer or tablet while laying in bed. The wifi worked throughout the hotel and on the balconies with no interruptions.

Bathrooms had tile floors, a small electric heater to take the chill off and a separate shower stall with nice hot water and good water pressure.

With the colder night temperatures the room had two heating sources, an electric panel below the large window and a central hot water radiator. The hostess turned them both on for me and made sure I understood how each of them worked. Additionally there were extra blankets in the cabinet if one preferred more blankets on the bed.

The hotel was quiet at night as there is no motorized traffic nearby and being a small town there's not much traffic anyway, especially at night. All in all a very peaceful and restful place to stay.

In the lower level of the hotel is the restaurant with a woodstove on one end providing a nice warm atmosphere to enjoy the meal. The menu was typical of most Bulgarian restaurants and the hosts were great at suggesting some local dishes and items to go with the meal. The food was well prepared, tasty and reasonably priced.

This is a great place in gorgeous village. Old, authentic house very well renovated and transformed into a very lovely hotel. Fantastic view from the balcony. Spotless cleanliness. Very well run by brother and sister who are very friendly and helpful and speak (at least) English and French.
Access by car is not easy though as the street doe not exist on GPS maps, are narrow and bumpy cobblestones only - so be prepared! But it is definitively worth the effort!

This nice 2-star-family-owned-hotel (more bed and breakfast if you ask me) consists of 2 parts - a so-called folk or traditional style and a comtemporary one. It is situated very near to the house-museum of Georgi Benkovski and its monument and has 35 beds situated in double rooms, triple rooms and apartments, all of these rooms have TVs and cable television, local heating system, hair dryers in all bathrooms and bathtubs in the bathrooms of the apartments in the new part. We and some friends of ours have been in a triple room and an apartment the contemporary part, so this is the one I shall review here. Our double room was just above the tavern and is not very big in size, but offering everything needed for a good sleep (what exactly we needed after spending the entire day in visiting museums and having a tasty dinner with a lot of rakia and wine), the apartment was on the upper floor and has much more space and a great terrace big enough for 4-6 people terrace from where you could enjoy the view at the town. The price per double/triple room is 50 BGN (25 EUR) while this for the apartment is 70 BGN (35 EUR) and includes also a breakfast served in the tavern. You could pay in cash or by all the major cards there. The owners are extremely kind people and trying to give you the best possible service. This could be witnessed during the breakfast when you could choose among several types of breakfast and they prepared more of it for free for us. I do like their motto that you could read in the hotel and its advertising materials - "Come as a guest, leave as a friend!" There is something like a small garden and a parking for max 5-6 cars inside the hotel yard (by the way, the owners allowed us to keep the cars inside the yards for several hours after we checked out). It's really a very nice place and I recommend it highlly (don't miss to try the great rose wine in the tavern - 9 BGN/4.5 EUR per litre) - the only two things that I didn't like about this hotel are the very dark colours of the tiles in the bathroom and the very thin walls - you could hear your neighbours and this woke up us early in the morning...

We went to Koprivshtitsa when it was a low season so we were the only one family in the hotel. The room has an amazing view as the name described, panorama. Driving up there was a bit tricky because its narrow street (mainly use for horses!)but the owner were very helpful. The city is all in walkable distance so it is convenient to have a parking spot and just leave the car there. The room was spacious and the breakfast was amazing. Everything was great and definitely will go back there someday!

As the title of the hotel indicates, the Panorama hotel is family orientated, in the sense that a number of the members of the family that run the hotel are involved on a regular basis. Simo, the son in charge, is always incredibly helpful and will put himself out to do anything to make your stay there more enjoyable. At the same time, his mother is a superb cook, always providing delicious food with the help of Simo's wife.

We felt really privileged to get to know the family well thanks to Simo and his sister speaking very good English. The location of the hotel could not be better and is very comfortable. We had visited the hotel for a few days in 2014 and this year stayed for a few days at the beginning and end of a four week holiday in Bulgaria. We would highly recommend a visit to Koprivshtitsa and staying at the Panorama

I recommend you visit the hotel "Panorama" in Koprivshtitza. Family hotel made me very impressed with the friendly staff, home kitchen with exellent prepared dishes, friendly attitude towards guests ... Suitable for weekend stay, you want to take distance from the city center :) Gluck of Air at Central Stara Planina (Sredna Gora)? And it's not a bad idea to recall majestic figures of the Bulgarian Revival. Once again thank you for the good service! Petya Martinova, Novi Iskar, Bulgaria

We stayed here for one night, with 2 kids under 4. Really great hosts: it was already late and we were on our way, and kids were hungry, so we called to tell them we'll arrive late, and they recommended a very good place to have dinner on our way. We arrived around 11pm, and the hosts was really kind and helpful, although it was really late. The next day she helped with recommendations in the village, places to eat and visit - really nice.

The rooms are not 5 star, but then again they're good value for the price charged. Great views from the balcony.

The village is really nice and worth the trip.
