One of the best places to eat breakfast if your visiting Dumeguete. This little cafe opens early and serves local favorites as well as a few unique dishes. My favorite has been the churro waffles but I'm still working my way though the rest of the menu. They have a very friendly staff and have never been too crowded. A must visit for anyone hungry in the morning or just wants a good cappuccino.

Love the tuyosilog from here !!! Locally made from Bais its delicious and not salty like a lot of others. Love the chia and fruit cups too and the peaceful yet fun atmosphere. Nice place to work too with good WiFi. Want to try the waffles one day 😁

We’ve been here last 11/27 to 11/29. We chose this B&B because (admit it) the interior and the design of their hotel is really cute and picturesque. There is no reservation fee required and the double room is only 900 pesos with free breakfast (I’ll talk about the free breakfast later).

We were assigned to room 209. My husband and I were very pleased after seeing our room. It was neat and tidy, there is hot and cold shower, the bathroom is clean and the water pressure is perfect… well, until we experienced electric interruption which they said was scheduled. The electric interruption started on 11/28 around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. We thought everything was okay since the air conditioner was still working until we open the TV and tried to take a shower. The cable was not working and there is no water coming out of the shower head and faucet. Good thing we both able to take a bath on Saturday night before the water totally run out.

Now about their free breakfast, I was expecting that they will offer basic Pinoy meals like the silog or pares. I was surprised when they said the free breakfast options is either toasted bread with jam or 2 pieces of bod-bod with ½ ripe mango and hot choco for dipping. So, we ended up buying other food from their menu.

Three things that I like the most about Gabby's B & B:

1.) Colorful walls, hipster-y feels.
2.) It's just basically a restaurant with very basic rooms upstairs. But it is good for the price (600-700php). And that rate includes a nice breakfast set (not the usual silog breakfasts). Other dishes are also available for a very fair price.
3.) The reading nook, GOD IT'S SO RELAXING--just sitting there, reading a good book in big, comfy seats.

Needs improvement:

1.) More signage, because the location is a bit remote. It was our first time in Dumaguete and when I asked the driver to take us to Gabby's B & B, it seems like he didn't know where it is. When we passed by Florentina Homes, I remembered reading that Florentina and Gabby's are owned by the same person. So we just inquired inside.

The Florentina staff were gracious enough, though--they gave us a free shuttle ride to Gabby's B & B.

I would probably still stay here on my next travel to Dumaguete. :)

Located near Silliman University, the place was so artsy and interesting.

Their interior was very artsy and colorful. The walls are painted with different illustrations and it compliments the restaurant. It made the restaurant look lively. Even their restroom looks artsy!

Their drinks were okay. But their food were very delicious! Not only it tastes good, but also the plating was very lovely. The price was worth it because the serving is big! Its a must go for food enthusiasts. The staffs are also nice and accomodating.

All in all we loved the place and their food. Try visiting and you won't regret.

Stayed here for a couple of days and there's nothing special about this hotel. The rooms are cramped, toilet and bathroom are so tight that one of our companions who's bigger and wider built literally had to transfer to another Hotel because he could not fit the narrow door of the toilet. You can't even sit facing straight if you have long legs; you have to sit facing sideways.

The hotel has a restaurant so it's convenient. Staff are friendly and responsive. But that's about it. The hotel could definitely use some improvement in room spaces and provide access to the handicapped .

Chill place for back packers who wants free breakfast in the morning. Room rates are affordable for 1,000 php and 1,800php depending on how many are you present in the room. Small room but you can manage. TV set is from the 90's a good feel of childhood. Their lounge is so chill as well. Don't be too loud because the other room might hear you lol

I first saw Gabby's on Instagram and checked out pics on their Facebook Page. When I got there I was surprised to see that it was smaller than perceived. The style is really laid back. The rooms are like school dorms. The common area is great for smoking and chilling, if you are a smoker. If you aren't a smoker, you're better off hanging out inside the restaurant or in your room. The food in the restaurant has huge portions and it's pretty good. I would recommend it to backpackers and young travelers on a budget.
