Booked thru agoda, My fault for not looking at the reviews and didn't notice any alert about the on going construction/renovation work in the property. When we arrived at the property, we were surprised with the facade as we thought it was closed. Upon checking in, we were advised that there will be a 2hr power interruption, and since we checked in at 1PM, we said it was ok and we will just spend time in the mall. We went back in the afternoon and there was still no power (interruption was longer than expected) plus the construction work noise was really loud.

Room, reception and hallways look and feels old, really needs to have a renovation.

Other issue, its a bit far from the city center so public transportation charge is a bit higher and sometimes you have to charter a tricycle to and from some points in the city.

Good points: Staff were friendly, internet service is decent, near to the airport, near to city mall and spacious bathroom.

There's a small local restaurant in the main entrance that looks fancy and seems to be popular among local.

This is a restaurant that if you do not know the city you will have a hard time finding it.It is a small restaurants good for large groups as the portions of some dishes are large. The restaurant is clean and noisey. Each party seems to know each other so it seems to cater to a certain portion of the populas. There is a small hotel attached that is in the process of completion.
The food is based around sizzling bulalo,an enormous shank bone of meat which comes out sizzling. It is fit for a caveman as the size and presentation is ridiculous. The meat was tender but not that plentiful.Tone it boys tone it down! The other food consisted of a fried pancit,Iprefer the traditional way.The asparagus soup was very good as where most of the other dishes.Nothing stood out.The service was good, typical Filipino of off timing on delivery. If you want to have fun order the sizzling Bulalo as everyone does and think back to the caveman days.

Heeding the advise of a friend, our group of 7 dropped by the restaurant of Royal Suite Inn for lunch before proceeding to Dauin. In particular, we had their must-try Sizzling Bulalo in our gastronomic sights that Saturday. And it didn't disappoint us at all. A savoury gravy (great on rice) was slathered generously over the tender beef, tendons and ligaments that encased the bone that was easily 12 inches long. At close to 600 pesos, our order was complemented by some Spicy Gambas and Crispy Shrimp. Being very calorific and cholesterol-laden, I wouldn't advise anyone to indulge in this on a regular basis. Trying it out at least once should be good enough to scratch it off the bucket list.

We made reservations at their restaurant and sent our order 2hrs before. When I called on the way, they have not checked what our order was. When we got their some of the dishes we ordered were not available. We chose another one and find out after 10 to 15mins it is not available again. They close at 9pm and the soup was served first 750pm. The rest of our order arrive so late. Will not recommend.

Haven't stayed here. But the sizzling pochero is such a staple meal! Order ahead of time to make sure. Reasonable priced and good for sharing. Cozy restaurant. Parking is slightly limited. But it's easy to find spots

This hotel is terrible. There are many problems. It is not at all as advertised.
* Room stinks of mold, they brought in an air freshener that did nothing
* Toilet runs and would not stop... needed to be flushed multiple times for over half an hour sometimes to get it to stop running.
* Towel bar broken off wall and left their with sharp edges.
* Holes in the sheets.
* No access to clean water, you must buy it.

*** And the worst problem of all... I went to access my safety deposit box in the front desk, and it was OPEN... I thought i had the only key? Nothing was missing but now i was terrified to leave my passport and cash anywhere. They could not explain why it was open.

STAY AWAY!

Stayed overnight at Dumaguete Royal Suite Inn as all hotels were fully booked as there was a convention that weekend. We stayed at the smallest standard room located at the ground floor. It was the only available room at that time. The room was quite old with 2 single beds. However, the bath & toilet were quite new, really small though. The only mirror in the room was a small one located in a corner beside the closet. The place has a restaurant which is located in front. Note that we had to pay prior to checking in to our room. The hotel charges 25 pesos for an extra pillow which unfortunately smelled of cockroach. This hotel is near St. Paul's College, so quite far from The city center.

If cholesterol is the least bit of your concern, and a succulent meat for a meal is to your craving, then be sure to drop by their restaurant, and take a bite at that sizzling bulalo (beef bone and marrow).

Oh, did I miss out on the slice of quadruple chocolate cake? You better seize the chance to take a bite and believe that the moonlight shines on Paris after the sun goes down.

Come here for one thing only: the Sizzling Bulalo! Please reserve in advance before going since at times it's always sold out or the place gets packed with hugnry tourists/locals especially during weekends. You can take a trike going to and from the place.

Very close to the airport. It isn't in a very spectacular part of town.
This hotel is cheap, and as usual you get what you pay for. There are building works going on, and the noise lasted until about10pm and started again at 8am. It has quite large but basic rooms. For the money it is good value, but it is quite dated.
If you are arriving late, or leaving early from the airport then this place is perfect. It isn't in the centre of town though so for a general stay in Dumaguete, you would probably be wise to pick something more central
