We visited Dumaguete city last November 22, 2022 with some friends and colleagues and stayed at Hotel Dumaguete for 4 days and everything was perfect. The location is perfect since it's only about 30 minutes away from the Airport and walking distance where all the night life happens. When we checked in, we have been greeted by their very friendly staff and offered with the thirst quenching welcome drink made of lemon grass and citrus fruits and nice cold towel to ease the heat. We dined at Piapi deli just right down at the hotel ground floor and the food was great. The people are nice and you can see their smiling faces trough the face mask they are wearing. I recommend that you also try the 2 restaurant near by, Buglas Isla for Bfast and lunch and La Mensa Italian chophouse for dinner. Food and staff there are all equally great. Going back to the hotel, front desk staff will gladly recommend and help you out for all the activities and tours available in the area. Oh and I almost forgot to mention that they have a really nice bar at the rooftop called The Pawnshop where you can sit back, relax and have a nice bottle of beer or wine with your friends, after all the days activities and adventure. Kudos to the management and staff, we had a really nice vacation with you.

See you again!!!!!

The rooms are modern and chic; decors are minimalist and I love the green wall you see the moment you stepped into the property; it’s soothing and relaxing. The rooms and surroundings are clean and well maintained. They have few restaurants and the food served in each are unique in their own ways. The Piapi Deli is an ideal breakfast and coffee spot while La Mensa is an elegant structure that you should try at least once. It’s a fine dining restaurant and they serve Italian. The location is at the heart of Dumaguete and is accessible to public transport too. Most of all, I applaude the staff, they are all very pleasant and really service oriented. Special thanks to CJ who made our weekend more than what we initially expected. I cannot wait for the pool to be open soon… it will give us another reason to come back!

DUMA-GET-ME for the first time! 💚

We stayed at Hotel Dumaguete for 3D2N. From the moment we stepped off the plane until we arrived at the hotel, the driver and airport representative gave me the warmest welcome. I was amazed by the parallel garden in front when I first glanced from a distance and then mesmerized as I entered. Even though they were wearing masks, they greeted us with a genuine smile and provided us with welcome drinks and cold towels, which was incredibly refreshing. Every area of the Piapi Deli (restaurant) is quite aesthetically pleasing. I find the room simple but classy, I loved how cozy the bed was.
The bar I loved the most was the Pawnshop at the viewdeck of the Hotel. Staying there up until 11 p.m. with some wines and beers warmed my heart.

I'm grateful for everyone's excellent service. I am eager to return very soon because you made my stay memorable. Kudos! 🤗

Stayed here two nights and was clearly a step up in comfort including amenities. Beautiful pool area for nice swim.

The admin and cafe is nicely fitted out in modern art deco, our double room although relatively small is nicely fitted out as is the bathroom.

One thing worth mentioning is the shower glass not being fully enclosed does allow water to enter the toilet and basin area, with water gathering against the door making this space constantly wet unable to drain properly. Towels always on floor to soak up. Water temperature and pressure good.

The room Wi-Fi was not good. Not stable, often dropping out and low strength often which was frustrating.

Was looking forward to breakfast, only to be disappointed with the strange “international” breakfast of sandwiches with egg and this and egg with that. The coffee was so weak it tasted like coffee flavoured water.

Please get rid of every single packet of creamery, other than discussing taste in a coffee it’s just a cheap addition.

To staff credit they gave me milk when requested.

I would stay here again but will drink coffee and eat breakfast elsewhere as I did on my last day.

We adore their cabinets which is made of recycled materials. They have a communal pantry which allows us to store food in the fridge and a water station to refill our water bottles. We love the fact that the pool stays warm, I have no idea how they do it but it was refreshing to take a dip even at night. Their customer service is excellent. And probably the best part, their dishes and dessert are a gastronomic delight! Will surely be back for another staycation!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Dumaguete for four nights. The hotel is new and the facilities are squeaky clean. We felt very welcome here because of their warm service. We loved the modern glass lift, though enjoyed taking the stairs up to the room too. It’s close to the Rizal Boulevard and trikes are easy to come by (15 pesos fare per person). We highly recommend this hotel to all looking for a comfortable stay in Dumaguete. :)

One of Dumaguete’s newest hotels, Hotel Dumaguete boasts of an excellent location and amazing wine and dine offering. It has all the hallmarks to be a super hotel in my opinion. Rooms are simple and with very little fuss - I appreciate their take on sustainability and the design touches make it very appealing. Beds are luxurious so I didn’t have problems on the comfort side.

The food choices and how there’re made is a highlight of this hotel. The breakfast bowls and the drinks at The Pawnshop one must experience. They’ve kept in tune with the rapidly evolving Dumaguete food scene.

They could do better in…..managing the noise. The windows are quite thin and you’d have the occasional street traffic buzzing through. But hey! This is Dumaguete! A city that’s booming!

Great modern bedrooms with fantastic customer service. The lobby design is beautiful and unique. They greatly assisted us with all our needs with attentive care. When we requested for masseuses, they were able to call affordable and skilled individuals in less than 20 minutes! Highly recommend for all your hotel needs in Dumaguete!

We stayed in the suite at a rate of Php 9000 per night. No minibar, which I need for my insulin, no desk in a 66m2 room, and when requested both, the answer was no. The smart TV had 6 local channels, they claim to have 48. The curtains kept my awake so we needed to tape them against the wall.
The room was for 4 guests, including 4 breakfasts. A very limited breakfast whereby a second coffee was charged, but we were only with 2.

I have no idea how this property got positive reviews, the only good thing was the bathroom.
