We arrived by ferry from Cebu Island, taking an ongoing ferry to Siquijor Island and spent two nights here en route. The place is fabulous. The staff are very efficient and helpful. The breakfast was very good and the dinner we ate there was also excellent. They were remodeling the bar area.
The interiors of the hotel is an acquired taste as it makes use of upcycled materials and bare finishes. The quality of the bed, beddings and pillows are excellent. Breakfast is ample in quantity and choices. Expect some traffic noise as it is located on the main road and there is no sound absorbing finishes at all. The location is very accessible to good restaurants, the pier and transportation. It is great place to stay for short stays.
i love the located as it's near the port and along thr blvd. everything is within reach. The rooms were nice and cozy too. Staff was friendly and prompt. Food was hit and miss tho, but I really liked their breakfast meals and the budbod suman mangga anf tsokolate
I stayed here for two nights after arriving at Dumaguete port (from Bohol Panglao). The hotel was visible from the pier and literally a few seconds away so a really fab location. I used this hotel as my base to visit around Dumaguete including Pulangbato falls etc, and catching various boats to other islands. And this was a great location. The breakfast is really nice however you can only choose one option from the a la carte menu. One morning I had a very early start (4am), and had advised the hotel of the night before. They asked me what I wanted for breakfast and they said they would pack it for me. In the morning when I went to check out my breakfast wasnt ready, also I had asked for coffee and they said the machine was being slow so did I want juice instead. So I said ok I’ll have orange juice, and even this they couldn’t get for me because they had to go get it from the back .... so I left with no drink.. it was absolutely ridiculous. Another issue I found was ants everywhere all over the room, on the tables, the walls, just everywhere! Tiny tiny little ant insects everywhere and it was horrible, they would crawl all over my possessions. I did advise the staff of this and they told me the room will be sprayed but this didn’t make any difference unfortunately. Another issue is that there was very Loud noise at night ! It was hard to get any sleep. Despite these issues the room was as described and amenities were good with free bottled water also provided and in room safe. The room has a cool rustic look with the furniture and urban look which I really liked. Overall the stay was good …
Really like the industrial design of this place, there for, even more disappointing that the rooms are ruined by a noisy wall mounted air-con. Skip the industrial noice of those, and install inverter air-cons, and the place is a keeper.
The styling might be hated by some - bare plaster walls with pipes exposed - very industrial looking. But the bed's really comfortable, the shower is great, the TV and internet works, and they do a great breakfast. After staying in some rougher hotels it was great to be back here - easily up to western standards. In a great location too opposite Rizal Boulevard.
I booked a Room at Bricks since we would be coming from Dipolog plus its new. It just a few minutes walk from the Seaport. Check In was fast and efficient. A breakfast coupon was given together with the Wifi Password. Our Room was 205. It is quite small but it does the Job. Beds were very Comfortable and the pillows too! Lighting was perfect as light controls were beside the bed. There is a reading light beside the bed. Bathroom wad of good size. There is a Hot Shower, Toilet had a Bidet! They do not provide Toothbrush here just the basic Shampoo and Soap. Breakfast was plated. It was good. The Hotel is a Mix of Industrial Meets Rustic (use of wood). It was a good mix of designs and the result was Perfect. If you are looking for a Nice hotel that is centrally located then this is the one. Just beware that there are rooms without windows and also to keep your Shades down as the window to our roomý is beside a fire escape. There is a balcony outside where staff can pass thru. And keep it locked at all times.…
Management and staff were all accommodating and went out of their way to make our visit as hassle-free as possible. Rooms had an industrial feel but clean and comfortable. Will recommend to other colleagues and friends.
Very clean. Just by the sea. Lots of good restaurants near by. Basic hotel and breakfast with fixed menu. No lift. So heavy luggage is a problem. But there are staff to help you. Service is good. People are simple.
This hotel is on busy Rizal boulevard and the noise in this hotel is unbearable... Even at night wearing earplugs you hear the noise of every passing motorbike, car and truck!!!! And because the building is constructed of solid concrete, it's like being in giant sound box where all noise is amplified. When someone shuts their door... You hear it... When someone speaks... You hear it It's even worse in the cafe downstairs... Take some paracetamol because I can guarantee you'll have a throbbing headache! It was so bad we walked out after 1 night and forfeited our second night just to get a good night's sleep! You've been warned... Book at your own peril😞😞😞😞
