We really enjoyed our stay here when we travel to Dumaguete with my cousins. The location is very good, just short tricycle ride to some of the tourist spots and restos. 7-11 is just at the front of the building. The room is spacious enough and comfortable during the stay. They even provided us with pail and dipper which we truly appreciate. The reception is welcoming and the receptionists are warm and accommodating. They even lend us with umbrellas because it was raining almost every time we go out. The only downside was our rooms are located in the 3rd floor and there is no elevator so we had a hard time with luggages and bags.
Overall, it was still a pleasant stay.

Situated near the 7 eleven, and cost £1 by trike from the bus station. Very centrally located and an easy walk to restaurants, the University, the waterfront and supermarkets and shops. Very friendly check in. Room very basic, and had no windows but it was clean. Aircon powerful, intermittent wifi signal and decent amount of hanging space. Beds not that comfortable but clean. Bathroom and shower pretty food. Free water in reception. Overall quite good value for the cheap price.

Budget hotel, close to the centre of Dumaguete. Walking distance to Lee Plaza, not far from Robinsons Place.
Room fair for the price, only lacking a refrigerator. Mugs were in the room, with coffee. Hot water is available but a kettle was provided when I asked. Wifi worked well.

Im a travel consultant and i checked hotels and places to stay in philippines to see if it is good both service and facility . I am also a license Guide of DOT for Foriegn Nationals specially Europian. This is what i can say .

Place is ideal near to market and malls.. The thing is there is no wifi even in the second floor. How much more on the 3rd floor where I stay. I try to aproach the reception lady nicely on the morning of june 25 about the wifi connection since i need badly for my job, but lady on duty is not realy happy to assist me and told me that im the only one complaining of all the guest( a lie) Puff thanks to another guest who happened to checkout in 2nd floor she also said there is no wifi connection there.. And then the mode of lady receptionist change from bad to worst. .. Mmmm i think when your working in this kind of industry you should be willing to assist no matter what. I been in job also before but i assist and help my guest kindly. Its sad.

Decent for the amount paid, but they can do better. Need a lesson in hygene. Irritating when you use bathroom. #1, the shower curtain rod falling off wall. #2, the sink covers the whole counter, so there is no place to put your toothbrush or anything else. Where are you gonna put your toothbrush, on the toilet? Think people think. Stop acting so negligent. Mold in corners of shower....clean the grout people..are you blind? Or careless? Or stupid? Bed worn out. If you took care of these issues, I'd give u 5 stars.

Located at the center of the city, golden gate suites is easy to find although not all locals like pedicab drivers know the place.
We rented a two matrimonial room because there are no twin bed rooms left. The front desk was also accomodating. They even shared us some places to go at dumaguete. The place was comfortable. It was so clean. The room, bedsheets and pillows smells nice. The aircon was functioning well too, although it was a bit noisy but that's okay. We didn't have any problem regarding the hot and cold shower not like in other hotels. Also even though its at the center the city, the rooms are very quiet! I guess its sound proof. It also have a cable tv. The place is also near their market, and there are places to eat everywhere so you won't have a hard time looking for a place to eat.

The only thing that is missing was there are no chairs. But I guess that's okay. And there was no elevator, my parents got tired going up the stairs because it was a bit long.

It would be so great if its beside the sea. But all in all we loved the place! Its budgety and it was worth it.

This is one of the newer hotel in Dumaguete which opened only last March (if my memory serves me right). It is a 3-story/floors building. I. and they will have a roof deck (currently under construction). almost missed it, since the reception is inside the building with 7-11 outside.

Got the standard room with a double bed. The bed is ok and pillows are soft. Amenities are just basic (soap and shampoo), so please bring your own. There is no ref in the room too as only their suite rooms had one.

If you are physically challenged, you will have a hard time since there is no elevator and the floors are high so one had to climb a long stairs.

It is very near the Central Market, and since Dumaguete is walkable, you can just walk to the Church, or to the other nearby destinations (like the Rizal Boulevard).

The title sums up the only good thing about this hotel. Have you heard that expression "the camera never lies"..?? Well it does in the case of this hotel. The photos of the hotel are very complimentary to say the least.

The entrance is through an alleyway nestled between a convenience store and a beauty salon

The rooms are quite small. I was first given a double room with the aircon 2 feet from my bed, blasting my head with air colder than an antartic blizzard. I complained and was given a twin room with a better positioned aircon unit. It was still very noisy though. I started itching during the first night. Next day I told reception and they got housekeeping to fumigate my room whilst I was out. The toilet flush was absolutely useless. It only let out about 50 ml per flush. There's a Phillpines wide advisory of not flushing tissues down the toilet, you're supposed to lob used tissues into the adjacent bin. Absolutely disgusting and smelly practice. Anyway, by now I'd given up complaining and decided to enjoy my holiday in the city. There's no hotel restaurant, just a 24/7 shop in the entrance called 7Eleven. Here you can buy hot and cold drinks, snacks etc. Some tables & benches also there. The alleyway mentioned above has an unusual alternative use. From lunchtime till late evening it becomes a "sitting down massage area". The masseuse/masseurs are all blind. I had a massage from them once. It's very humbling to see them working and also very empowering for them too I'm sure. God bless them all.

Thanks to the cheap but very noisy and polluting tricycles, you can get to anyway in Dumaguete for max 20 pesos. The airport from the hotel is 120 though.

It depends what you're after really. If you're a young backpacking hostel sharing bohemian type, then this hotel would feel salubrious to you. But if you're an older more discerning traveller who likes some home cimforts, then I'd advise you to avoid this place.

Booked the room online. The room was already ready for check in when we arrived at 10am but we didn't check in yet since they have a early check in charge of 200PHP (which was reasonable). But we did an early check in at 12:30 though, but it was free of charge already. We had something printed and it was delivered in the room. The room is so clean. The CR very clean also. The right place for travelers looking for a nice room at an affordable price!!
