Stayed 3N/4D and really maximized the room as I had no itinerary and my only plan was to chill (And do some work). Room is clean, vicinity is well-maintained, pool is lovely. I also loved the fact that it is a few walk away from different restaurants (4 inside the Henry vicinity, next to it is Mooon Cafe and Shaksha, and also close to Mercato-style hang-out place Northpoint). The staff are really kind and attentive as well. Wifi is enough for social media needs but not as strong for video calls. My room is Deluxe (Villa Suite) and as a tip, I'm asthmatic and need ventilation always. Deluxe room has good window with screen thus you can open and not be afraid of insects coming in. Premiere Villa Suites does not have screen in their window and opening it would welcome insects to come in the room. So if you prefer to open your windows sometimes, I recommend Deluxe!

The suite is generously spacious though the room could use more lights (maybe 1 or 2 white lights) to brighten the room at night.
Mosquitoes were present also on the first night. We killed like 4 or 5 during the night. We requested the housekeeping to spray the room, which they did so hooray to them.
The people are friendly, too.
There are good restaurants within the resort. No beach though. At least they have a pool.

Stayed from May 31-June 3, 2022. The resort is well maintained with a lovely pool. It took sometime for us to check-in since our rooms were not available as to the specified time of 3 pm. My husband was quite pissed off with the delay. However the staff apologized & we were compensated with tokens of pastries & free airport shuttle on our departure which we appreciated. The rooms are spacious & beds are comfortable. The staff are really friendly & helpful. There are restaurants inside the compound so you don’t have to go out of the resort after a tiring day of touring. If you want a peaceful & quiet resort to chill away from the noise of the city, this is your resort.

Stayed at rm 101 feb 25-27
Booked thru Agoda at 200 usd/day without breakfast. On their website it was at 320 usd with breakfast.
No credit card. You have to give 2k php cash for incidentals.
No frontdesk staff from 12mn to 6am, I guess no emergencies allowed at that time then.
No free wifi.
No housekeeping service, you have to call.
No other amenity except a pool.
The sea is across the street, not accessible from within the resort.
1 pc each of a tiny bottle of shampoo and lotion in a very hard to squeeze bottle for the whole 2 days.
Room service is from the resto nearby, Si Senor. Their waiters, not housekeeping, will clear the dirty dishes so you'd have to be in the room.
Lost keycard is 200 php.
Table top paint is peeling.
TV remote wont work, you'd have to call the staff each time, and even they take about 3mins of tweaking where they point the remote at the back of the TV.
The aircon stopped cooling on the 2nd day despite maintaining the same settings. I was sweating in the middle of the night and there's no staff to call on until 6am.
There were 2 bottled water free, and a small sachet of coffee free, but thats it. Area is roomy, bathroom also spacious but since the shower stall has no door you'd have to monopolize the whole bathroom until your business is done.

Dear Lakwatserako, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about your recent stay with us. I am sorry to hear that we fell short on your expectations. I have carried out an investigation to find out how we missed the opportunity to delight you with our service and coordination with our partner restaurants located inside the resort premises. Trust that your concerns have been addressed with all departments concerned including our partner, Si Senor. May I take this opportunity to thank you for your kind understanding about our limited hotel services brought by the global pandemic. While we strive to provide a like-no-other-service, we also respect the high regard for space and minimal close contact by observing minimum health and safety protocols for the protection of our valued guests such as yourself and our team members. This was also well explained upon your check-in and an informative letter was provided in the room also for quick reference. We may have limited services, but we gladly replenish bottled water, coffee, tea, and toiletries upon request. Guest requests may be accommodated anytime of the day as we have team members on duty for 24 hours. Wi-Fi access vouchers are provided inside the envelope together with the guestroom keycards. Once again, I apologize for the inconveniences that have impacted your overall perception of the resort. On behalf of the whole team, thank you for allowing us to be of service to you. Your valuable review reinforces our commitment to improve our services. We hope to get the chance to recover your confidence in us. Please contact me directly at mfresnido@thehenryhotel.com for future reservations and I will personally look after your requests. Sincerely, Marla Fresnido Resident Manager

Overall a good experience. Check-in was smooth and the room itself was nice. Room lighting was dim; we were in a ground floor unit, so it's a little uncomfortable opening up the curtains all the time just for extra light, but that's the ambience they are going for. Bathroom was gigantic. Location is top notch and parking for rental car was easy. Liked that we could walk out the back of the property and onto the boulevard to find places to eat and gather. The property itself is pleasant to walk through with so many trees and you really do get away from the city. Breakfast inside the resort (at their coffee/pastry shop) was a good start to the day. Didn't get a chance to go in the pool, but walked by it every day and others seemed to enjoy it a lot.

Probably the best hotel in Dumaguete. Rooms are very nice and well appointed , the staff are really attentive and very pleasant. The hotel is close to the Blvd that boasts numerous restaurants and bars and the back exit is right on the ocean. Great security on front and back doors too. The only issue I had was with breakfast. Very minimal ala carte choices and would not do any modifications which was strange and for the price you would think they would be they could not think outside the box on any level , only 2 eggs allowed and 3 very small sausages that were technically one and a half sausage. No iced coffee only hot coffee too. I opted to walk off property to seek out a real breakfast. Besides that really nice hotel.

We enjoyed our 5 nights at this hip hotel that felt like a private residence. The big red door/gate that separates the villas from the restaurants is a stylish touch. The villas are spacious and roomy. Blackout curtains ensure that you will get a good nights’ sleep, after catching up on your Netflix shows on the smart tv. The air conditioning is cold, and the Wi-Fi fast. The restaurant I recommend for your complimentary breakfast is Noelle’s Brunch Bar. For lunch and dinner, Si Senor, and for dessert, House of Sans Rival. There is a pool, but no gym. If you must venture out, the corniche is just steps away, where there are many more dining options. What’s to improve? Just minor things, like providing hair conditioner instead of just shampoo. And don’t allow your key staff/managers to go on leave during the peak holiday season.

I have stayed in different accomodations in Dumaguete City numerous times, but the The Henry - Dumaguete is a cut above the rest. Better than the new hotels you find in town.

It is an oasis within the city with its lush gardens, sprawling bresthing space, and proximity to the bay area. The lived-in and sophisticated design of the resort along with the warm smiles of the staff welcomes weary travellers into their "home" in Dumaguete.

Dining options within the resorts attracts the right crowd for a more enjoyable gastronomic experience. Make sure you dine at Popolo Pizzeria.

I definetly had a delightful experience at The Henry- Dumaguete.

My family got to enjoy the unique vibe this place has to offer, as I was relaxing and got the chance to tour around the place. I noticed that they have this combination of Modern Sleek Facilities with a touch of centerpieces of art, which gives us warmth during our stay.

The receptionists and staff were friendly, and they were always smiling.

Would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

Thank you!
