This hotel is directly across the road from the main lift. The staff are very nice and breakfasts and dinners are plentiful and tasty. We booked 2 weeks and another room for my son for 4 days. Unfortunately our room for the 2 weeks was possibly the smallest in the hotel. Disappointing for a healthy booking (same category room for my son was much larger). Hence we paid extra for a larger room. Decor is modern but does lack a bit of warmth in styling. The faux fireplace is not good and lacks any atmosphere. A few more personal touches and better styling and furniture placement would result in a much better hotel. However the staff are very nice and helpful
Sassdei is a small, family owned hotel with so much charm! Run by 3 sisters, with mom as the chef, the sincerity and sweetness is palpable. The hotel is situated right by a ski lift and around the corner from ski rentals. The food was delicious, the staff were lovely and, well, everything was wonderful. I can't wait to visit them again!
We stayed at the Sassdei for one week's skiing, during half term and were absolutely blown away by how good and convenient the hotel is. We stayed B&B in two rooms, suite mountain and suite lake, which were both more than ample in size and facilities. The food in the hotel's restaurant is delicious and I believe the Mamma of the family, who run the Sassdei, is in charge of producing really great food. We dined in on three occasions. Our teenage children enjoyed the hotel's proximity to the main ski lift, being just in front of the hotel, which also made the night skiing a convenient must do experience. We also loved our "Gin & Tonics" in the hotel bar and the position of the Sassdei in Andalo means we were never too far from a restaurant or local shopping. Ample parking in the garage, a warm ski & boot room and a lift to all floors, if you are tired from skiing. Andalo's skiing was enough for us, however I would recommend, if you are a really keen skier, to get the lift pass which gives you one day in another resort. We went to Madonna di Campiglio for one day, which gave us a great away day. Antonella, her family and team at the Sassdei, could not have been more helpful and welcoming. I would highly recommend the Sassdei and we would love to return one day.…
Me and my partner stayed here in March for our skiing holiday. Check-in was quick and the lady (owner) was superfriendly! We defenitely felt welcome. It was a wonderfull stay! Its a brand new hotel, recently refurbished to a high standard! Beautifull and spacious rooms. Very nice bathrooms! The WiFi was superfast and very stable. So it is possible to offer good wifi! Finally a hotel that is 21st century worthy! Only 1 minor thing about the rooms: At or around the desk there are no power sockets. So if you want to work and need power for your laptop then you have a problem. And maybe a small desk lamp would be handy. We had a room on the first floor facing the main cabin lift in the village. So its an ideal location for skiing. You take 2 steps out of the hotel and you are seated in the cabin lift. Parking is inside in the basement of the hotel. Its spacious and also the ski storage is located there. Breakfast was good. Good choice, good bread and great coffee. 1 minor remark: Make the scrambled eggs and the sausages fresh and keep them warm on a hot stove. Dont put it on a plate warmed by a candlelight. Its just not warm enough and can cause bacteria growth! We had diner 1 night and it was a lovely meal. Simple, but with good products! They serve excellent local wine!…
Everything in this hotel was put in place by someone who really intended to make their best. Reception, lounge area, restaurant and bedrooms are modern, charming, yet keeping the mountain cozy style. The staff is, at the same time, very professional and friendly. Ms. Antonella made us feel very comfortable from the start, and helped us to find the best of Andalo. And indeed we had a great time there. Hotel is located in the best spot in the city - in front of the cable car station that take us to the Paganella mountain ski area. From some rooms you can see the Dolomite! In the room where we stayed, we had a private sauna! Room was very spacious and bed was really comfort. Wifi worked very well in any part of the hotel. I recommend guests to book it half-board, once the price is honest and the food, made in the place, has traditional options from regional Andalo cuisine and everything we tasted was delicious. The gentleman that works in the restaurant is very attentive to guests, very kind. There is parking lot in the hotel as well. We'll definitely be back!…
