We recently visited LCB&B (9 years to the date of our prior visit) and were thrilled that they have reopened for the first time since early 2020 when the pandemic hit. As with our prior visit, we couldn't have been more thrilled with the accommodations and service. They have a great thing going, and we're glad to see them back up and running. Pre-trip communication with the property was easy and responses were made promptly to our inquiries. Upon arrival by commercial panga, we were met by LCB&B staff at the pier as promised. Our luggage was transported by wheelbarrow as we were led across the island to the quieter and breezier eastern side. Check-in was efficient and we enjoyed the complementary fruit drink and snacks while being informed on what was open (or not - the Turned Turtle on-site restaurant was open for bkfst and lunch but not dinner at this time), how to get free water bottle refills, etc. We stayed in the Robinson beach master suite cabana, which afforded us access practically straight out our front patio steps onto the sand. The king-size bed was comfortable, the windows allowed good breezes and there are also fans if needed. Having a lockbox in the cabana is a nice feature so one can safely leave valuables in the room while out and about during your stay. The bathroom was nice, with a hot water showerhead. LCB&B has done a very good job providing plenty of hooks to hang clothes around the interior of the cabana as well as on some of the patio posts, which is often something that I find lacking. Bonus point for that! Separate beach towels are also provided so you don't mess up the bath towels. LCB&B employs plenty of staff and you can tell by the special attention that is given to keeping the property maintained and clean. Each morning, they're out cleaning the beach of seaweed and other ocean debris that washes up. Rooms are cleaned daily, usually during breakfast or while you're out exploring the island. Little Corn is a tiny island, connected by walking paths, and LCB&B is about a 15 minute walk to the "main drag" on the other/west side of the island. You can get there by walking south along the beach from LCB&B past a few other more simple accommodations and one local bar/restaurant (Full Moon comedor) to meet up with a paved path to the "town." This route is slightly lengthier but also drier. It rained overnight (hard) a few days during our stay, and while there is a more direct route that cuts across the center of the island it can also get muddy, so take that into consideration. Either way, it's no problem to hit a restaurant or bar on the sunset side of the island and travel back to the peace and quiet of your cabana at LCB&B in the evening. We promise it won't be 9 years before our next visit to Little Corn Island. And, when we return, we'll be sure to stay at LCB&B. We can't recommend it more highly.…
We were one of the first guests to enjoy Little Corn B and B after having been closed since the beginning of the pandemic. I'm so glad we timed our visit right to experience this awesome hotel! We traveled with three families (6 adults, 10 kids) and spent three nights here (wish it could've been more!). Restaurant was awesome (breakfast--coconut bread french toast is a must!), though they weren't open for dinner yet. Rooms exceeded expectations, and staff was helpful, professional, and approachable. We had AWFUL weather (rain rain rain and wind) and yet, our kids had a wonderful time and us adults did as well, simply because of this great hotel. We can't wait to go back and hit better weather!
My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and it was perfect! No detail was too small for their super attentive staff. They helped us plan our mini adventures like deep sea fishing, scuba, snorkel, and massages. We felt right at home. I can’t wait to go back and absolutely recommend Beach and Bungalow to anyone looking for a quiet place on the beach.
Once I decided to visit Little Corn Island, I spent hours researching different places to stay and eat. I finally decided on Little Corn Beach and Bungalow (LCBB) and could not have been happier. There were a couple of issues that concerned me. First, there is no air conditioning and I love to sleep in a cold environment. I was pleasantly surprised by my first night there. I had no trouble sleeping and actually woke up a little cold during the night. There wasn't a moment that I felt hot or uncomfortable during my entire trip. I believe the key is the location of LCBB on the island. It is located on the windward side, and during my entire stay, there was always a pleasant ocean breeze that kept everything cool. After speaking to some other visitors, I learned the other side was not as cool. My second concern were bugs. I anticipated encountering a lot of pests and the mosquito netting covering my bed only fueled these concerns. I was shocked when I arrived and, after staying a week, realized I hadn't seen a single mosquito or other pest. Again, the ocean breeze kept the pests away. Third, I was somewhat concerned about the security of my belongings. I was pleased that my room was locked with a padlock and I had a secure lock box that could hold my money. I was further pleased by my entire experience on the island. There wasn't a single time I felt uncomfortable or at risk in my week stay. My room was fantastic. The bed was extremely comfortable and I had everything I needed or wanted. Although the location is rustic, it has numerous luxury features that made the stay even better than imagined. Every morning I was served tea (coffee was also an option) on my veranda. I really enjoyed reading on my veranda early in the morning, sipping on some green tea, and watching the sun rise over the ocean. It was a highlight of my trip. The food at the Turned Turtle was amazing. I absolutely love fine dining and tend to have high expectations when it comes to food. Like most of my trip, I found the food here to be better than I expected. Although I ate at numerous locations on the island, most of which were quite good, the Turned Turtle was the best dining experience on the island. With all this said, I must say that the absolutely best feature of LCBB was the staff. Each and every person was cheerful, patient, polite and just a joy to be around. They constantly worked to make my stay the best experience possible. They knew my name and treated my like a long time friend. I have stayed at many locations in my day and this is by far the best staff I have ever encountered! I can't say enough good things about the staff at LCBB. They will do what they can to make sure your vacation is a great one. Overall, I have to say I absolutely LOVED my time at LCBB. I have already decided I am going to return next year to Little Corn Island and will once again stay at LCBB. I can think of no other place that I would prefer to stay. Thank you for the GREAT time! We have travelled the world. But now we have found paradise! A little tuff to get to for a reason. Absolutely beautiful! Peace and tranquility. Lots of other places on the island to walk to. Found some shops to buy things you may have forgot. Spotless clean and a great on site restaurant! Turn Turtle. Wonderful deserts. Great WiFi. No need for AC as that constant ocean breeze was fabulous. Thanks to the awesome staff!!! We will be back again and again forever! ❤️😀 🌴
