Great little hotel and an even better price. We frequent Kings Island and have stayed in another (more expensive) hotel a few times. I will definitely remember this hotel for our next trip. Couple of items to note: Their isn't too many things around except other hotels and a gas station, so be mindful of dinner plans before you get back close to the hotel. They have some sort of "Inn Room Service" but we assumed going back late from the Haunt at King's Island is was closed and didn't even check. If you've stayed in other Hawthorne locations like I have, it was unusual to see a room that didn't have a sleeper sofa. That made a difference for us since we were traveling with our children, but the front desk said nothing else was available and they didn't have rollways. They did provide an extra pillow, blanket and sheet for us to make a pallet on the floor. Fortunately it was only for one night so my 10 year old didn't make a huge fuss. We will likely return- and be sure we check all the room amenities before booking! …
Stayed one night my Sister, couldn't sleep do to the constant coughing we were doing. When we got ready for our business meeting the next morning, we found mold all through the bathroom. We showed the morning manager and he said he would pass the word to the owner. That sure was great customer service, NOT. Don't use the pool and most definitely don't use the restroom at the pool. The toilet was broken and you might get locked Jaw from all the rust on the handicap rails.
Great people always treats you with respect it’s clean and affordable would not ever stay anywhere else this is my perferred location everytime location right where food and local malls are thanks for being so friendly and kind
Beds were clean, room was kinda rundown but spacious. Bathroom wasn't the cleanest. Hot breakfast was great, hallway smelled like Marijuana both mornings we were there. It was an okay stay, but not sure if we would stay there again. Some kind of party going on too, people talking loudly outside my door in the middle of the night.
The staff was very friendly. We brought our 9-month-old grandson and the lady at the desk played with him and made us feel welcome. The room was clean and the pool was clean. No issues with the bedding or dishes in the room. I am usually really critical about hotels because my degree is in hotel management, but there is nothing to complain about here.
Bed was ok, towels were soft, but this whole place needs a good cleaning. The inside of the bathroom door was filthy and gross. It needs a scrubbing. All of the light switches are dirty and need to be cleaned. The blow dryer in our room didn’t work. Breakfast ended at 9am which was ridiculous for a weekend. Also, the little bottle of lotion and conditioner were only half full which tells me they aren’t switching them out after each guest, but are reusing them until they’re empty. This is supremely gross.
Functional and clean, with somewhat-recently updated furniture. Close to I75 and with plenty of casual dining options within walking distance. Room amenities lacking - one of the hot plates was broken; coffee maker needed replacement; minimal and inconsistent plates and utensils. A bit more regular good-repair and amenity checking by staff would go a long way. Breakfast lacks any fresh items, but includes waffle maker.
I don’t understand how this hotel could possibly have the rating it does on TripAdvisor. It was a horrible experience from top to bottom. The room was very dirty. We were assured it was a non-smoking room and the smell of smoke was terrible. The smell of smoke in the hallways and elevators was also terrible. Overwhelming. The entire place was run down and not clean. We did not spend the night and after being told we would be refunded the charge is still on our card. Warning: Don’t stay here!!!!
Great place to stay! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and good location off Hwy 75. My daughter was having her first child and they were very flexible in changing my extended stay dates, not once but twice. I didn't have to worry about my hotel room and just focused on my new grandson!
I'm really not sure how they still have a good review status. I wish I would have read the recent comments before I booked this place. This hotel was beyond disgusting. We booked the 2 king rooms w/ full kitchen suite for 3 nights. When I walked into the lobby around 5:00 to check in, it was not as I had seen pictured on the site. Dingy and musty smelling. As we walked through the hallways it still smelled very musty and damp. My husband thought maybe they had water damage or cleaned the carpets with dirty water . When we got into our room it was the same smell only stronger. I went to try to open the windows, but they were sealed shut. There was no way for me to air out the room, which it definitely needed. I sprayed down with Lysol and Febreze trying to get the smell out. The best way I can describe it is if you have ever left a load of wash in the machine and a day or two later open it up - that nasty damp dirty water smell that your clothes have is what the hotel smelled like. There were multiple stains on the couch - i wouldn't let the kids sit on it. There were also holes in the sheets. The pool was dirty and definitely NOT like it's pictured on their website. So, we went to dinner at Ruby Tuesdays across the road which in itself was kind of dirty and the food didn't taste very good, but I will say they were short-staffed and the waitresses were All-stars. When we got back to the hotel around 6:30, keep in mind we'd only been checked in for an hour and a half at this point and spent 10 minutes in the room, I told the lady at the front desk that my husband and I were not happy with the room and we were checking out immediately. Now as a host, my first thought would have been, "oh my goodness, why? What can we do?" But she just said, "I can't give you a refund for today." Didn't ask me why I wasn't happy or what could be better. So clearly they know there's a problem. I was charged $233 for the night, having not spent more than 10 minutes in the room, but it was so worth leaving because Drury Inn across the way was top notch. Highly recommend that place. Smaller suite, but pool & hot tub, plus free breakfast, dinner, & 3 alcoholic drinks per night per adult. Go there- NOT HERE!…
