The hotel has a good location. Lots of things to do close by. Nice and clean with a friendly and helpful staff. Its nice that they have Chef Morimotos ramen restaurant connected to the hotel and the beach is right across from the hotel.
The location of the 'Alohilani was absolutely stunning, perfect, and easy for beach access, shopping, and dining. I loved we were able to take advantage of the partnership with Beach Candy so we could have complimentary rentals of things like coolers and floats for the beach. There were a few too many kids in the pool and hot tub, and it would have been a better experience if there were adult-only hours for the hot tub after 7pm. It was hard to enjoy Champagne and a romantic experience with little kids jumping in and screaming. The front desk was very nice and accommodating, and went out of their way with recommendations from everything as off-resort breakfast and nail salons. I was never able to get the concierge on the phone, but there was a texting service that was helpful. The rooms were fantastic- clean, with comfy cozy bedding and lovely Japanese-style toilet/bidets. We stayed for three nights and it was a way better experience than our previous five days at airbnb's. Absolutely lovely. …
Alohilani Resort is amazing! Nothing but high praise for this resort. If you're thinking of traveling to Honolulu this us the place to stay. Get the breakfast. It's worth extra cost. Fabulous customer service. Can not wait to return!
For a 5 star resort, this place was disappointing. I have stayed at many five star.l resorts all over the world and this one did not meet expectation. We booked an ocean view king room and when we arrived at hotel we’re told the ocean view is in fact not an ocean view but actually a side view.. and in order to get an ocean view we would have had to book “Premier Ocean view”. Of course this was not specified on the website so this was false advertising. Additionally, breakfast was overpriced as was using any other amenity within the hotel. The pool was always chaotic with drunk guests so we did not bother using it but ofcourse were charged added fees for “hotel amenities” which were not utilised. Room service was only done every 2 days. We did not even have bath robes within our room which is pretty standard for every 5 star hotel in my experience. Will not be staying here again and overall, overpriced and disappointing for what you are provided. There are cheaper better hotels in Waikiki in my opinion.…
If you are staying around the Alohilani hotel you must stop in for a drink at their Swell pool bar! Ask for Kate. She gave us great suggestions on things to do around town, the best drinks the have at the bar and a great smile! Levi was also a gentleman. He saw that my mom was chilly from the wind and offered her a towel to put around her shoulders! If it was not for him we probably would not have got in those last few drinks! Ivy was the manager on duty and she was aware of all the tables our server Kate had in her section. Truly and amazing staff!
Awesome location in the center of Waikiki. Within walking distance of most Waikiki attractions. Highly recommend the Long Board Club which offers delicious morning breakfast and evening appetizers and a large selection beer and wine. Our Long Board server, Micah, took care of our every need and treated us like family. Alex (Guest Relations) was very attentive and went the extra mile to make sure our stay was amazing! Highly recommend upgrading to the Long Board Club to really elevate your Waikiki experience.
Took my daughter here for a long weekend before Thanksgiving and we would definitely come back. Several areas of the hotel have been fully updated and the amenities are well rounded. Food is excellent and customer service was on point. Our view was stellar and the hotel location is perfect for a “bit” of Waikiki. Safe to say, this place set the tone for a lifetime of girls’ trips for us!!!!
I would have left on the first night if it hadn’t been for the excellent location and the amenities provided by the hotel. We paid for an oceanfront room, which was rather disappointing and did not look anything like in the pictures they advertise. The room has clearly seen better days and is in desperate need of renovations. And with the hard bed, the noise from the AC unit and the loud neighbors who were constantly opening and closing the ridiculously heavy balcony door, it was nearly impossible to get a good night's sleep. Moreover, the bathroom was not only minuscule (6 ft), but also filthy, and it was begging for a thorough cleaning. On a particular day, the housekeeping even left us a towel with fresh lipstick on it. If I ever return to Honolulu, I will think twice before deciding staying in Alohilani again.…
Beware ..they take a deposit which they then won't return within 7 days ..apparently that's how long it takes to credit a card in this hotel ...they then tell you it's not their responsibility as they don't own the credit card machines they use ...and to cap it all they ignore emails to resolve and refuse to resolve face to face
This hotel is located right in the heart of Waikiki Beach and conveniently located right across the street from the beach! We had a great room with the Long Board Club access which offers excellent service and delicious breakfast and evening pupus and tasty array of wonderful wines and beers in the evening. The hotel pool promenade transforms from a day club into an evening event space with food and live entertainment. Special thanks to Alex (Guest Relations and Rooms Manager), as well as Micah (server at Long Board Club) and Shade (morning hostess at Long Board). They all work above and beyond to provide personalized service that our anniversary stay so special.
