Staff are pleasant and helpful. Basic larger room and clean. Very conveniently located to Ala Moana Shopping Center, many restaurants, grocery stores and the beach. They offer a $5.00 breakfast (good for what it is-) served by friendly staff. The refrig is spacious, working microwave, and there were cooking elements and a sink. AC was on the loud side and cycles on and off frequently. But this was not a cheap stay in June. Weekend rate was $183. and week day $167. Then there were taxes and fees of over $300 prepaid (Tax recovery 17.9% roughly, and a processing fee of $19.99). Upon check out, there was a daily Amenity charge of $26/day; general excise tax 4.712%, transient accommodation 10.25% and county TA tax 3%. And we paid for parking at $25/day. So the daily rate was over $240 when you add the additional fees. It was expensive for what we got compared to other hotels we have stayed in Hawaii.…
Where do I start. Just don’t stay here. We have stayed in mini budget hotels but this one Hass to be the worst. You feel like you are in skid row. The restaurant was a little more than a cafeteria. Parking is terrible. We had to park across the street in a parking garage with little security. The neighborhood is sketchy at best. The rooms were clean, incredibly basic. This is definitely a no frills, no amenity hotel. Spend a little bit extra and stay somewhere else. This felt and look like you were staying in a hostel
I love carols, he’s so respectful and informative and efficient. There wasn’t any parking so I had to park across from the street which wasn’t bad. I was charged 55.08 fee that I will have to inquire on. Other than that I really do recommend this hotel.
This is not the Royal Hawaiian on Waikiki. Keep that in mind when walking into the property then your room. I have stayed at this place for over 30 years and is still the same. If all you need is a clean room, clean bed, clean towels, and a cheap place then this is it. If you are expecting more then you will spend so much more for a hotel in Waikiki. The staff are nice. The parking lot lady is strict on your ticket so do not forget it! LOL if you do then you will know what I mean.
I didn’t expect much from a two star hotel though the Pagoda Hotel was better than some others I’d went to. We really just needed a place to stay and rest during the night so it was great. It’s at a good-okay distance from Ala Moana Center but you’ll want a car to get around and visit more of the land. You may get some issues with noises from family-neighbors above or next to your room or the loud music put on by occasional people on the road outside but we’re heavy sleeper so that was okay. The biggest issue we had so far and didn’t appreciate was with the key card. It might work 1 out of 3 times if you’re lucky then you’ll want to go check at the front desk to renew it. Overall, I rate it very good as a 2-star hotel.
called front desk and reported it was running and would not flush, was told no one was wwas on duty to help and i would have to wait till morning, 180+ a night to listen to a running toliet all night, Wont be back. Front desk didnt say anything when i checked out either
I stayed at this hotel for a total of 4 nights and 5 days. When I walked in my room had not been cleaned. There was stuff all over the floor and hair on everything. The cigarette smell alone had me completely confused because there was a no smoking policy. The resort fee alone had me in a complete mood because when I booked I was pretty sure I had already paid that. The restaurant tried to trick me into thinking the coupon covered more than one meal and then wanted me to pay for what they told me would be free. The front desk were truly the only reason I gave more than one star. They were very helpful and pleasant. Also one my last night staying here there were bugs all over my shower. I would have packed up and left immediately if it were not 1am. The convenience of Walmart and Ross was nice, but I would not stay here again.…
Very nice stay, nice staff , and good location Really enjoyed my stay great look great location great stay definitely one of my option if i was to visit Hawaii again was my second option but turned out to be good
Always nice to stay at the Pagoda. Haven't been to Oahu since 2019 so there were many changes. The construction on the rail was eye opening. Service all around was a bit slow and traffic pretty bad in some parts of the island
Older property that is dated but still maintained the best that can be done. The staff is what makes this property my go to property. I love the central location which makes traveling easier. Staff friendliness and Aloha is a major factor that makes this place a remarkable. Kudos to the upper management that support the employees so they continue to put out the best service with Aloha to the guest. Mahalo for always making my stays memorable.
