Location and amenities are great! Might be a little bit more expensive than other hotels but it’s location made it easy and accessible to multiple things! Pillows are the only issue that we had and wasn’t comfortable at all!

Hotel's Favorite
Best hotel in all of Hawaii - almost felt like Royalty. The hotel location was perfect for our romantic getaway that included golf, tennis, pickleball, shopping and ALOT of eating. This hotel is across the street from the Ala Moana mall, right next to a huge park (tennis, beach, surfing), and driving (and walking) distance to an endless list of wonderful restaurants (including 100 Sails breakfast). We usually stay in Maui with our kids but decided to be adventurous and stay in Honolulu for our Anniversary (sans Kids). We loved this trip so much that we booked our next trip before we left. The Prince Waikiki has definitely been the best hotel we have stayed in all of Hawaii. We have stayed in lovely Villas, condos, Four Seasons-Maui, Grand Wailea-Maui, Hilton Waikoloa-Big Island) and this is the winner when it comes to service and location. Our Oceanfront Suite had a breathtaking view of the Harbor and Ocean. My husband literally walked into the room and said "Wow!". Many, many years ago we decided to stay at the four seasons in Maui for our honeymoon. I had read about how amazing the service was there but we did not have that experience. We considered going back to Maui but are so happy that we chose to stay at this hotel in Honolulu. The service at the PW is top notch and every employee (and I mean EVERYONE) at this hotel was so kind and friendly. They truly displayed the spirit of Aloha. Our 1 Br suite was extremely spacious, bright, clean and had an amazing view from every window (floor to ceiling windows). We were able to watch the fireworks from the comfort of our room which was a plus because there was a slight drizzle that night. After the fireworks we walked a half a block to dinner (didn't have to fight the post fireworks traffic). Housekeeping came every day tho we opted to only use them every other day. There were two showers in our bathroom. Both were very spacious and one had a bath. The suite had two decent sized closets but drawer space was limited (only 2 drawers). There is a mini fridge, keuirig and a hot water kettle. There is a Honolulu coffee shop in the lobby (decent coffee) but the coffee served in 100 Sails for breakfast was better. The service and buffet/food at 100 Sails was amazing and delicious. I was just thinking about how the "made to order omelet" stations had gone away from hotels and voila their breakfast buffet had one. The concierge were super helpful in making dinner reservations and finding places to shop. We made sure to tip them when we checked out. Surprisingly (for a hotel so large and busy) their valet service was super efficient. We've stayed in hotels where the valet is so slow that we opt to self park. We almost chose to self park here but it was only $5 more to valet (plus tips) and well worth it. We only used the pool/jacuzzi once and it was nice and quiet. It was in the evening so that's probably why it was quiet. There's a poolside bar with live music which we hope to enjoy more on our next visit to the Prince Waikiki. No more Maui for us. Honolulu and Prince Waikiki is our fav island destination now. The only negative comment is not actually associated with the hotel. Our son told us we had to try Katsumidori (located on 1st floor of hotel). It was difficult to make a reservation and we're not sure why. The atmosphere and service was okay and the sushi was standard. We live in Seattle where we can always get fresh fish so maybe our standards for fresh fish/sushi are higher? Anyway, there are so many other amazing restaurants to try so venture out.

Highly recommend this hotel. Great service, pool and even a tasty Japanese restaurant on the ground floor. Ocean/marina view room was spacious and the floor-to-ceiling windows epic. Loved they were able to open to enjoy the breeze. Liked that it was on the north end of Waikiki so it was quieter and easy to get to downtown.

We stayed in an ocean view room on the 7th floor and have never been so comfortable in a hotel. We stayed 9 nights and we loved everything about our stay. Most importantly, it was a quiet stay and we slept like babies after long days on the beach or sight-seeing. We never heard any noise from the street or other guests. The temperature control in the room kept us perfectly balanced, cool and dry for sleeping. The beds are two queens and they are very comfortable. The pillows are feather and on the slim side, so if you like a thicker pillow you may want to bring your own or buy one at the Target nearby. We didn't eat at the hotel but there were so many options within a few blocks walking distance, including the Ala Moana mall with tons of fast food options and a McDonalds a half block away. We also walked to many locally owned eating spots which were great. (Dave's homemade ice cream shop is open until 10pm for a late night snack and is a block away inside another hotel). Another huge plus is the location of this hotel. It's on the end of Waikiki so you're close to the action but not in the middle of the busy tourist areas. You could walk about 25 minutes to the heart of Waikiki or 5-10 minutes by car. There's also an ABC convenience store on the corner for anything you might need. We rented a car and paid for valet the first night ($45). After that we were able to park on the street in front of the hotel. There's paid parking $1/hour and you can pay 24 hours at a time. The only trick is there are about 50 spots and if you get back too late at night it might be hard to find a spot. We were back to the hotel every night by 7pm and always found a spot to park overnight. Also very important - do not park in the yellow boxed spots - those are for the boat owners and you will get towed. We saw it happen several times. The hotel is on the newer side, it's clean and the staff is great. The pool area is also really cool with an infinity pool overlooking the harbor and ocean. We heard live music there a couple times and it was such a relaxing spot. I can't recommend this hotel enough. We stay at hotels pretty often and this really was one of the best experiences we've had on vacation. Thank you to the Prince Waikiki staff!

After spending a week at Disney Aulani, where everything was absolutely horrible we were ready to go home. But we had planned on staying over to see the World War 2 memorial stuff and we didn't want to miss that. Prince is a fabulous hotel, great rooms, great restaurants and great staff that really try to make your stay super enjoyable. And the bathroom had a bidet, the same one we have at home! After a week of no room service, only one restaurant where we could sit down and order a meal and have it brought to our table, it was heaven. Oh well, what do you expect from Disney for only $650 a night? We will never go back to Disney, and we will never stay anywhere besides Prince in Waikiki!

I booked a room to do an overnight stay with my niece and nephew for their belated birthday celebrations. It was a gorgeous room, we were able to enjoy the Friday night fireworks from our room, and the room was as clean and comfy. We spent most of our time at the pool which is not huge but was more than big enough for the kids to swim around comfortably. The infinity pool at the ledge does have an age minimum so that was a bit of a bummer, but it was nice to be able to order drinks and food at the pool.

Visiting the Prince is like our home away from home. When you stay at the Prince you are truly Ohana. We've never gone at the Holidays, so seeing the hotel in all it's glory was wonderful. Friday night with local goods for purchase, the live music, absolutely perfect photo ops and so much more. For over 17 years my father has been traveling to Oahu for business. When he passed in March of 2022 we promised to visit and do all his favorite things. Our 1st visit back was in October '22, the outpouring of love and sympathy from the entire staff was overwhelming. Even when other friends and family visit the Prince and mention my father, the stories, memories and laughter bring us all so much comfort. This trip was no different. From the moment we pulled up being greeted by all our friends, sharing memories poolside, the hugs, just everything the entire staff does builds new lasting memories. The staff always wears a smile and is always willing to make your stay more enjoyable and memorable then one could ever imagine. Sure you can stay in Waikiki and have your "Hawaiian" experience. But if you want to take a vacation, build memories with your family and understand the true meaning of OHANA, you'll stay at the Prince.

We stay at The Prince every year for my husband's holiday party. It's a 2 night stay. The past 2 times we have reserved a king ocean front room and the past 2 times, we end up in a room with a peek-a-boo view (example 2018) of the ocean/sunset and it is a VERY small room. We ask for a 'better' room with a view and this past visit they changed us to 3016 - a much bigger room & a great view. How come they don't check us into that room in the first place? The time before that, they said they had no more king rooms available (??) which we had reserved so we ended up in a queen room. Unhappy. Secondly, the coffee was terrible. Tasted burnt - from the coffee 'shop' on main floor and in the dining room. Coffee in room was ok. Thirdly, we went for breakfast on Sat morning in the dining room and they seat us right by the coffee/dirty dishes station - way in the corner and there are many clean tables far away from the station available. So, I ask to move us and they do right away BUT why do they do that? Just seat us at a nice table, away from the dirty dishes in the first place and leave that table for people that come when dining room is full and there is no other choice. Thank you for listening.
