A smaller, old hotel 5 mins walk from beach and surrounded by bars, restaurants, street food and specialty shops. Easy check in and friendly staff. Consists of 2 towers of 8 or so floors with a small but ok pool. Rooms are ok but dated and layout is fine with big sliding glass doors giving an airy atmosphere when opened up, but the hallway (at least on our floor) smelt very stale. Shower over a big bath might not be ideal for anyone with mobility issues. Our room was city view so not bad but also looked down on public car park where we witnessed some suspect characters and other reviews we read suggested loud music parties at times although not the case for our stay. Front gate has security and is locked at night. Breakfast is fairly ordinary and no complimentary bottled water is supplied to rooms. The hotel is lower budget but still expensive given it is Waikiki. We would stay again

Loved coming down to breakfast in the garden terrace. Rare to find breakfast included in an affordable hotel and the sociable breakfast made it feel more like a resort. Plenty of food at the continental breakfast but the only improvement I would make is to offer at least one savoury item e.g. toast and some boiled eggs. Lovely staff, very clean spacious room, large bathroom, fantastic toiletries, always plenty of towels, fabulous beach towels, really comfy king size bed. Excellent wifi too and the aircon was very quiet. Enjoyed the Kona coffee with the coffee maker in the room. The corridors in our tower were interesting - open air at both ends so we could see the beach fireworks from the balcony at the end of the corridor. Be aware that very late at night sometimes you will get noisy revellers in the streets below but this is the downside of being in the heart of the tourist area. This is my kind of hotel. Has everything that I need: full length mirrors; plenty of wardrobe space and quality hangers; very good iron which I did use. This hotel is like a boutique hotel - not too big, not too small, lovely garden and fishpond area plus pool and this hotel is just a short walk to the beach and restaurants, also pickup spot for coach tours is just a short walk away in Seaside Ave. This hotel was great value at an affordable rate. Everything was seamless and I felt the security was very good. Note it's no longer part of the Aqua chain, but don't know if that's a pro or a con but I certainly hope to come back and will recommend this hotel to my family.

I have been coming to the hotel for 25 years. and the reason I have been coming that long is due to the quality of the property, the service, the management and the people that work there. It is continued to be a wonderful place to stay, and I consider it a second home.

The room served its purpose. But don’t expect too much from the included breakfast. There was no fresh fruit or alternative milks. it was the cheapest room at the star rating of 4 I could find, but I’d say this may have used to have been a 4 pre pandemic???

Better places to stay. Poor rooms. Poor Bathroom. Very Old Rooms, not like the rooms they advertise on the internet. When asked for a better room, We were told to ask our booking agent. Four in one room and we get 3 towels, 2 of each cutlery. We had to keep asking for towels etc...

Could not sleep well due to the terrible noise from the club front of the hotel. If there is nothing the noise must be comfortable staying. The facilities are old but cleanliness is so good. Breakfast is very simple.

Clean, nice, perfect for the money spent. I had a big bath in my room so it was amazing. The location is great: there are beaches near by (10 min walk), a lot of cafes and restaurants, in some you can have discount. Parking spot is near by the hotel.

The Aqua oasis is a fabulous hotel just off “the strip” it is close to everything in Waikiki. From check in to check out everything was perfect. Not being a big resort hotel we found that staff was way more personal and involved in our guest experience. We are definitely returning to Hawai’i and will not stay anywhere else

Hotel is getting older and could use some remodelling. Outdoor breakfast was limited in options. And birds are flying around you looking for food. Free water on the patio and places to sit in the court yard. Location is excellent. Close to shopping and not too far from the beach. Biggest issue was both me and my party booked rooms with 2 beds and were given one King bed rooms. The staff did not acknowledge that they made a mistake or gave our rooms away. They didn’t even tell us. Wasn’t till we walked in the rooms and saw there was only one bed. So we went back to check in and they said there was no more rooms available. We had to sleep 3 people in a King bed and my other teenager in a worn out cot.

Aloha and thank you for your review. We appreciate the time you took to make this review and will use your feedback to help improve how we conduct our business as a hotel. It is unfortunate that our 24-hour receptionist on property was unable to assist you in your changes to the reservation. We hope to cater our reservation system to a more category specific type of system and do wish to improve on these challenges you might have incurred as well as the birds. We are working diligently on remodeling the hotel and hope to welcome you back once we're finished with the project. Have a good day, Mahalo! - Clifton Gunderson, Hotel Manager Oasis Hotel Waikiki

The rooms are very outdated but staff was exceptionally great! Especially front desk. Being that it was a quick trip we didn’t mind so much about the outdated rooms. But their was mold in the room over the AC unit
