Detailed Reviews
This is the forth or fifth time we've stayed at this property. Reserved a 1 bedroom upper deluxe unit. We were assigned 1109. Probably the least "deluxe" deluxe unit we've stayed in. This is an end unit so the layout was kind of wonky and the living/dining room area felt cramped. There is a balcony with 2 chairs and a table which directly faces the other tower on this property. Totally unusable for sitting and relaxing, nothing like looking at the windows of the unit in the next tower. It was useful for drying scuba gear, though. Given that we were on a higher floor, the noise from the street was not too bad, and the noise from the parking garage right behind the property wasn't as annoying as in the past. Be advised though, the Monday morning delivery trucks with their back up beepers, etc., will probably wake you up.
This resort is maybe two blocks from the beach, right next door to the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, close to trolley stops, and there are many restaurants in the immediate vicinity. We often walked over to the Outrigger Waikiki for their evening music and drinks. There is a nice pool area, on the smallish side, and three or four tables/chairs under cover. Nice for sitting and eating your lunch or drinking coffee in the morning.
But really, what sets this property apart is the staff. Every time we've stayed here, the staff has been helpful, friendly and polite. We requested additional towels and they were delivered quite quickly. We needed a cab early the morning of our departure, and the bell desk kindly arranged that for us. We arrived before 2:00 p.m., but our room was ready and were allowed to check in early. This is a timeshare property, so there is no daily maid service. But as stated, this property is really quite convenient to everything in the area. We took the beach path to the Hilton Hawaiian Village for massages one day, about only a 15 minute walk. Mahalo for another pleasant stay.

We stayed at Club Wyndham at Waikiki Beach Walk for seven nights in a two bedroom deluxe corner unit. The unit was large with two bathrooms, a full kitchen with a dishwasher, and had a washer and dryer and a large sitting room area. As we were in a corner unit we also had four balconies looking in different directions. It was a great base for the beach, which was 5 minutes walk, as well as for visiting other places in Honolulu. Hundreds of shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk. The staff were excellent, very friendly, and couldn't do enough for us.

The hotel was close to everything (restaurants and shops) and right next to the Royal Hawaiian Center. We traveled during covid and the hotel was clean and they followed all the covid protocols. We stayed in a one bedroom and then moved to a 2 bedroom suite when our friends arrived. We enjoyed the suite and the bedrooms were spacious with a good size living room and there's a washer/dryer in case you need to wash anything. Although the kitchen is kind of dated..it has all the necessary things you would need. The hotel was pretty quiet since there's not as many tourists at this time. When we moved to the 2 bedroom suite - the room faced the courtyard and it got noisy at time because you can hear the other guests if they are hanging out and talking loud on their balcony or in the courtyard. We just kept our doors closed and the noise wasn't too bad.
We had a rental car and the valet service was great and they brought us our car pretty fast. All the staff at the hotel were super friendly and made sure we got what we needed. We would definitely go back and stay at this property again.

Excellent hotel. The rooms are certified eco clean, and it shows. The rooms are clean from top to bottom. The staff is incredible, friendly, helpful, and quick to solve problems. From front desk to the valet staff, all are quick to help and very friendly. The pool deck is large with a small but deep pool of crystal clean blue water. With a ADA friendly lift for the pool. The pool must be reserved due to Covid. But this is a simple call to the front desk. The tiki torches at night are a nice addition to the pool deck. The only thing holding this back from a 5 star rating is the lack of USB ports, and outlets, in the rooms. The need for streaming tv.

We are timeshare owners and have enjoyed staying at several Wyndham resorts. Unfortunately, this resort was awful and we will not return.
We were in a newly remodeled room, which was clean and had everything we needed. However, they are currently remodeling the hotel and the construction noise was very disruptive. While we were informed (about six weeks prior to our stay) that the pool was closed for renovations, we were not told that the entire hotel was under renovation.
Because we were traveling with young children that need to sleep, we asked if we could be in a room that was at least somewhat removed from the noise. We were told that they could not change our room but that we were in a room that would not have too much noise. We were also told that construction was between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm M-F. This was not true. The first morning we woke to what sounded like a jackhammer right above our bed and this went on for several hours. The hammering started before 8:00 am and was horrible. The next morning we woke up early because the staff was vacuuming the hallway and talking very loud right outside our door. Then, they decided to test the fire alarm around 9:00 am. This was startling to our children, one was still sleeping at the time. Also, they announced several times that they were conducting a test but never notified when the testing had concluded. This left our children continuing to ask us if it was going to keep happening.
We realize that resorts go through renovation and that housekeeping tasks need to be done and fire alarms need to be tested, however, the timing of these tasks and the staff response was very inconsiderate. While the staff may feel that these things were done late enough in the morning, when you are on vacation it is nice to get a chance to rest, sleep, and relax. Our Wyndham stay was anything but relaxing and we did not return from our vacation feeling well rested. In fact, we couldn't wait to leave!

We stayed in a two bedroom suite for a week and it was definitely home away from home! The full kitchen had everything, full stocked and we were able to cook a few meals there, for the kids. Absolutely loved the Jacuzzi tub, my kids enjoyed that. Have a nice size living room and big dinning table where we were able to have some family over. Best part of the whole room was the Lanai, which gave us great views from the valley, to the city lights and a glimpse of the ocean.
Loved the location, just a walk from the beach and surrounded by shops and food places.
Staff was great, welcoming and friendly. They even offered hula lessons and ukulele lessons and had a fun little family room with games to entertain the little ones.
Thanks for the great hospitality and definitely recommend for families and adults all the same!

Things that are great: First off, the staff was top notch. Each person was eager to help and had welcoming vibes. Next, It has a fantastic location easily walkable to the beach, and also walkable to the main strip and tons of happening stores and restaurants and other wonderful hotels that are also on the beach.
The "not as impressive" list is short but worth noting. We stayed in a newly renovated room and it was nice that everything is basically new. The quality of the renovations are at the level of a normal decent hotel. Wyndham seems to have lowered their usually impressive standards and while everything in the room is fine, it is not amazing.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom and each room had a small balcony which was great..each bedroom had a small bathroom with only one sink, very little counter space and a smallish shower and bathtub. The master did not have a closet, just an armoire and a tv stand with 2 drawers. It would be a challenge for 2 people to have their clothes and toiletries in those spaces.
Definitely worth noting is that the thermostats are pretty much just ornamental. When our thermostat stayed at 74-75 no matter what we set it at, we called the front desk and they sent maintenance. He told us that the thermostats are on motion sensors. So when there is no motion in the room, they default to 75. I would have been OK with that except that it does not cool down very fast or really much at all. At night when we slept, it defaulted to 75 unless I got warm and checked it at which time it turned on because I had triggered the motion sensor. So if you are OK with getting out of bed every 30-45 minutes to trigger the motion sensor of the thermostat, you will be fine. If not, nights will be at 75 degrees.
The pool is not finished and no one was working on it this week when we were here. The hot tub is available and small but nice.
Overall, the location is fantastic, and I loved the staff, but it seems like they cut corners on this location during the renovations making it fine but not impressive.

I am currently here now. I own a one bedroom timeshare at the Wyndham Mauna Loa on the big island. They are exceptional and have incredible views. I traded in my week for the one on waikiki. I thought the Waikiki location would be just as grand since the pics made it look that way. Boy was I wrong! I am on the 7th floor. Out of one window I look at an eight story parking lot. Out of the other. I look at rooms /balconies in the next hotel. I only see part of the sky. I’m not sure how this is even considered a one bedroom. In the bedroom itself one end of the bed is almost up against the window/wall with literally barely any room to get into the bed on that side. The bathroom has an awful neon light, which makes me feel like I am at a cheap hotel. The kitchen is only a kitchenette. A small fridge small oven. Small dishwasher. There are no drawers. I found the silverware in its container in one of the cabinets. Same with the serving utensils. There is absolutely no room for your food no pantry no counter space. The room is dark and dismal. You feel nothing but depression when you were here. I don’t understand why I was given this room when I am an owner. Perhaps because I am not an owner at this location. I would leave and go elsewhere, but I paid for this week and do not want to lose my money. I will never stay here again.

If you’re looking for an underwhelming experience, this is it. If you plan to spend the entire time in your room because of the construction and no pool, this is it. If you wish to save a minimal amount of money on the outlandishly priced parking fees, by sitting through a 90 minute sales presentation, featuring an abrasive and aggressive sales representative, this is it. If you’re prepared to pay $45 a day for parking, this is it. If you’re prepared to constantly ask for coffee filters or coffee because they don’t provide the number of filters and coffee for the days you’re staying, this is it. Finally, if you’d like to swim at one of their partner hotels, they can arrange that for you, and even though this hotel can’t provide swimming because it’s being remodeled for about six months now be sure to understand that you will also need to pay a $45 fee to park at the other hotel. Hopefully, you’ll find space at that pool once you’ve paid for parking. The pool was supposed to be completed before we arrived but we received an email too late to find another place. We saw no progress on the pool during our visit.
Thankfully, the hotel is located in a beautiful area to get out and walk.
Along the way, you’ll see unique shops and an array of restaurants along with stunning hotels that offer amenities not offered at this one.
We were gifted points by a kind woman who wanted to help us attend a wedding on the island. We’re forever grateful to her. Wyndham ought to compensate her points back to for her to use or share at a far better Wyndham if such a thing exists.
An underwhelming, substandard, and disappointing experience. If this hotel represents the Wyndham Vacation Club experience, buyers beware.

I’d recommend Instacart or Uber eats. We didn’t use grocery delivery but did see delivery services.
