Our wonderful friends decided to get married in Hawaii unfortunately due to covid -19 and some work stuff we were unable to make it. So we thought we would send them a bottle of champagne and flowers to their hotel room. When the company we choose only send the flowers and not the champagne, Connor at the front desk came through with a bottle of champagne and flutes and delivered with a handwritten note with our message, We couldn’t be more impressed Thank you Connor and staff.
This was our second stay at the Waikiki Resort Hotel. We booked the 1 Bedroom Penthouse Suite. 3 adults and one teenager. The one bedroom was occupied by 2 adults and the open plan living room was occupied by one adult and one teenager. The living room was big enough to have 2 single roll-in beds (with comfy mattresses) a sofa, sitting chair and dining table for 4. This room also has a kitchenette, stove top, fridge, microwave and pod coffee machine. Our room had ocean views, and a 10 metre balcony which was awesome. This hotel is literally a minutes walk to the beach. We love the service and the staff are always smiling and friendly. Highly recommend for anyone and families. Down stairs you can have an American style buffet breakfast, which we enjoyed on quite a few occasions.
Check in/out was easy. Room was VERY clean. Breakfast "to go", for the week we stayed consisted of 1 boiled egg, 1 trail mix bar, 1 fruit (apple/ orange), bread (in form of , pancake, bagel of bread slice(with jelly, syrup, cream cheese compliment). Upgrade for under $8 for french toast/pancakes, eggs, bacon, and I think coffee. McDs is 1 block down so we didn't bother. Hardly ran A/C, kept opening balcony door (10th floor) for fresh air. There is a free DVD kiosk for use. (never used it). Car rental on first floor (again, never used it) and complimentary pool/beach towels. NO MICROWAVE on premises, and fridge is in the room. Store on first floor is SO reasonable on prices. They have beer, desserts, clothes, souveniers....etc. Distilled water machine for you to refill your water bottle on lobby floor. Elevators were quick and empty all the time! Very quiet on grounds, some noisy people on ground level a few nights, but the proximity to PD maintained that and it was really not an issue. Traveled with my teenage son and friends.…
We had an excellent stay at the Waikiki Resort Hotel. Everything was very clean and they handled Covid protocols very well. The room was very clean and you can’t beat the location. For the money this place beat out the surrounding hotels and was so close to the beach and surrounding shopping and food. Branden at the front desk was stellar throughout our entire stay and we can’t say enough good things about him!!
The customer service was outstanding (first impressions). Our room was not large, but our beds were super comfortable. We appreciated the compact refrigerator but would have appreciated a microwave oven to warm up our leftovers. The take away breakfast was so so (High carbs not good for diabetics) they clearly offer more substantial breakfasts for a $14. Perhaps the kitchen could provide a more hearty meal for guests especially since the daily resort fee is not waived (resort only has a pool). Very close proximity to the beach and parking was plentiful.
