Stayed here because it was close to hospital as we got out of kapiolani around 5pm rush hour and didn’t wanna sit in traffic to stay with north shore family this time around. It was a great quick little stay cation for my family and I! Comfy beds, ac worked great and all around just a perfect stay at a clean spot. We enjoyed the convenience of the restaurant downstairs as we didn’t want to food hunt after being at hospital day- woke up early, my keiki and I hit the pool and then we check out! Nice change of scenery from our usual hospital visits- all the staff was great especially upon arrival - Hoku and front desk guy sorry I forgot his name but they were very quick to help us get checked in after a long day - thank you Shepherd, Jon, Channy and Hoku! We will be back!
Great rooms with lots of space after long active days. Live music by the pool is terrific every evening. The restaurant has the best food in the area. Breakfasts are super high quality, healthy options and tasty. Family style fish dinner at Mahina and Son's restaurant is a must. The staff are super helpful with planning your daily activities. Amenities are really terrific including the shampoo and conditioner provided, sunscreen at the pool, parking, beach towels and chairs. The coffee shop lattes are wonderful to wake up for.
Excellent hotel! We had a fantastic 5 night stay and are so appreciative of the hotel and our experience. The room was spacious and beautifully designed. The amenities at the hotel are wonderful, we loved the nightly live music by the pool. Our 7 year old son had a great time as well, plenty of pool space and a great selection of kid friendly food. The location is excellent, only a few blocks from the beach, with an abundance of restaurants and shopping nearby. Free parking was a major plus, only a few blocks away and very convenient. We had considered staying on the beach at a resort but are glad we opted for this hotel instead, it had the vibe and amenities that suited us without the price tag and ego, and allowed us to really explore the area! Thank you!
Highly recommend this terrific hotel, it exceeded our expectations. The location is wonderful, great shopping and dining are just a few blocks away. The room, was extremely clean and decorated well! The staff is fantastic -- always asking if there was anything they could do to make our stay great!
We are locals, but like to do Waikiki staycations occasionally. Suarfjack was top on my list of places to visit because I like the look of the rooms and the pool is so cute! It's in a prime spot, and although the rooms don't have ocean views, they have great city views. I also LOVE Mahina & Suns (the restaurant in the hotel) and having that right on site, and great cocktails all day at the pool, was wonderful. The hotel is super dog friendly, which was a big draw to us because we wanted to bring our dog with. It's so fun being tourists in Waikiki and walking everywhere you could want to go. LOVED staying here, would 10/10 recommend, especially for the affordable price, and will def stay again, but next time wanna check out the beautiful penthouse suites!
Our recent stay at the Surfjack Hotel was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful from the beginning to end. Hoku and Hailey were great and even said my two dogs were so cute! Thank you ladies! The room was nothing less than beautiful. We got the penthouse and the view was fantastic. We saw a bit of everything! Mad respect to Whitney who was the one to check us out the next morning. Also, Shepherd was cool too. Thanks for the great stay! 10/10 would stay again, and again, and again, and again.
Pros and Cons for this boutique hotel. I probably would not stay again only because the cons were big for me. Others may not have an issue. Pros— Front staff were awesome and always friendly Great location , walking distance to restaurants, beach and shopping. Cute vintage themed decor. Free parking in Honolulu- enough said :) Great coffee and banana bread from attached coffee shops Free coral-safe sunscreen dispensers in the pool area Night entertainment—also see cons Pet friendly!! Clean room, updated . Cons— Hallways are NOISY!! It is so loud at times, sounds like people are standing / yelling at the foot of your bed. No full length mirror in the room. Hard to judge overall look. Bar closes early, last call is 10:00pm. Also received terrible service from a grumpy bartender. Underwhelming service for food, we ended leaving the hotel and walked to a restaurant. We used housekeeping once in a weeks stay, she changed the sheets but at the foot of the bed, the bottom sheet did not cover the mattress. My ankles/feet were on bare mattress. I ended up remaking it. It was obvious , why continue to make the bed? Entertainment is shut down early nightly . I think 8:00 pm. During the day the pool /deck area is mostly little kids.…
Location handy to everything, without being in the crazy busy area of Waikiki. Daily room servicing. Pool was cool, evening live music always good listening. Restaurant food was tasty. Many restaurants nearby too. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Boutique hotel in the heart of Waikiki. Best part of the hotel is the awesome staff, especially Malik and Whitney! Chill pool, great happy hour specials and live music at night. Off street parking just a few blocks away in a parking garage. This will definitely be our “go to” hotel when staying in Oahu. Can’t wait to come back!
Stayed 6 nights here and it was very good. The room was extremely clean and they had room service come in everyday. We were a little worried about booking since they allow pets and my wife is allergic but the room was cleaned very well and couldn't even tell a pet might of been in there. The parking is about 2 blocks away and an easy 7min walk. Park on the 5th or 6th floor of the hyatt. The elevator goes to the 6th floor of the parking garage. If the hotel is out of the parking cards make sure to bring the parking ticket back to hotel to get it validated. Waikiki Beach is about a 10 to 15min walk. Very easy. Tons of eating places around. Takes about 1hr 15mins to get to North shore and about same to Polynesian center.
