Simplicity that surprises.
Tucked in the center of Waikiki is a sanctuary of serenity and refined simplicity. Halepuna Waikiki by Halekulani is known for its impeccable attention to detail and warm, personalized service.
Providing a home away from home and an unparalleled experience in the heart of Waikiki, the elegantly appointed guest rooms and suites feature furnishings in color palettes of white, gray, beige, and blue with pristine views of the Pacific Ocean.
Halekulani Bakery & Restaurant features locally inspired menus, highlighting ingredients from the bakery. The cuisine is light and healthy, accenting each natural component to a level of distinction and island sophistication.
I would recommend Halepuna to anyone, it’s been such a great stay and we will be back for sure. The location is the best part, you’re in the middle of everything. The rooms are modern and have heaps of natural light. The staff are super friendly.
No need to look at any other hotels. Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. A level above the other hotels with simple and beautiful decor and not overrun by the crowds. This hotel is for the more discriminating traveler.
Beyond pleasant experience. Close to many things, but west end of central and behind the Halekulani, so limited views and limited beach. Downers: bathroom door was sliding (not pocket) and didn't completely obscure, with no lock and effectively no privacy. No desk or seating area (one chair) in room and size was small for 3 people to maneuver in. Also no microwave.
Incredibly clean and well kept hotel, both inside and out. Staff will to go above and beyond for their guests. Location is great if not wanting direct beach access. Highly recommend for your stay in Waikiki.
What an amazing hotel! The level of service and attention to detail is out of this world. From the moment you walk into reception, the hotel is literally gleaming with cleanliness and the staff so welcoming and helpful. When we arrived, we decided to change our room from the twin room that we had booked to a king. We were travelling with our teenage son and were not sure which option would be the most comfortable for the three of us. Davide, at reception, was so accommodating, allowing us to look at other rooms and open out the fold out bed to see if it was big enough. He was really concerned about our comfort. In the end we changed to a king room and our son was extremely comfortable on the fold out bed. Special mention also to RJ who showed us our room and was so friendly and welcoming. Our room was extremely well appointed and the level of cleanliness second to none (trust me - I am completely OCD!) My one gripe was that bath towels could have been bigger, but that is literally my only complaint in a whole week staying here. There are many amazing things about this hotel. It feels like they have anticipated guests’ every need - from the laundry room to the hospitality centre, free coffee and cake for early risers and the small but well equipped gym with disposable headphones - in case you forgot yours. Definitely a five star review from us! The Halepuna is a wonderful, friendly and welcoming hotel with great levels of service. We hope one day to return.…
This is an amazing hotel! Every single person is extremely nice and very helpful! A special shoutout to RJ and Davide!!!!! Halepuna has an amazing fitness room, an amazing pool and the most spectacular beds!!!!! I would highly highly recommend this place to any person out there!!!!
The choices for accommodation in Waikiki can be overwhelming, especially when you’re a first time visitor. After reading a review on Halepuna Waikiki by Halekulani (that the hotel was a little quieter) we elected to book. Tip: We were told at check-in it is cheaper to book directly through the hotel than an aggregate service. After conversions and taxes etc. it’s hard to discern, but just a note. The hotel has been renovated (was previously Waikiki PARC Hotel). The lobby was cool, welcoming and relatively clean (light furniture does show up dirt easily and so it probably was due for a steam clean) and the check-in was smooth and professional. Our room was an Ocean View Deluxe with 2 double beds. The rooms are not enormous by any standards, but has all the mod cons one would expect of a hotel in this location and price point. Frequently used items were sealed in plastic to indicate sanitisation. Air conditioning was quiet and worked without issue and rooms were relatively well sealed so it was rare to hear other guests unless they were right outside your door. Bedsheets were crisp and white. There were several powerpoints with USB charging: dresser side and side table sides and overall the room was nicely appointed (and also included a Keurig). The ocean view was lovely, but not completely unobstructed (note this hotel is not on the beach, but rather behind its sister hotel Halekulani.) As another guest mentioned, you are affected by the sound of air-conditioning on the balcony, but it’s a trade-off from the required air-conditioning that is needed in an area like Waikiki. You likely won’t be able to capture a full sunset from the balcony, but the beach is practically in front so really, it’s a non-issue. The hotel offered light refreshments and pastries for breakfast between 6.30am-8.30am (we did not take advantage as we were out at different times and I only saw it once). Other convenient amenities were: - Laundry Room (Note: You need quarters. The app is not available to non-US residents, which is something that is overlooked considering it is a hotel.) Powdered washing detergent can be obtained at reception as well as the quarters. It also has dryers. - Gym Room. Small, but adequate and impressively also carries TechnoGym equipment (expensive, generally higher end equipment). Towels are available. - Hospitality Room. Generally for guests who have business needs etc. The laundry and gym do not shut, but the hospitality room I believe shuts at 10pm. All these are located on the 8th floor which is where the pool is also located. There is a shower on the 8th floor, but requires booking. The infinity pool is small and not deep. It also faces the ocean with limited views and unfortunately is located at the side of the hotel which means that the hotel itself casts a shadow on the pool a certain time (don’t let the shadow and clouds fool you, you can still get burnt if you are fair). It gets quite windy and the deck chairs are limited, so you may have a wait if you want a chair. The cabanas require booking and prices are from $75 upwards. The pool does have a bar and staff work incredibly hard to accommodate rotating guests as there were only a few staff on. The downside to the pool is that is opens and shuts in a limited window, which is a shame. Light is before 6am and so it would be lovely to have an early dip, but I believe it only opens at 8am which can be a little disappointing. All in all the location and general quietness of the hotel can’t be beat. Denny’s is on the corner of the street and a walk to the beach for Friday night fireworks is 5 mins away (as of writing this, fireworks are back). There are ABC stores on literally every corner (think super-powered 7/11 with alcohol, groceries and souvenirs). One of my favourite aspects was its location being just around the corner from the hustle and bustle, but not right in the midst of it. Special mention of the staff. The assistance and interactions were to the highest standard. Always polite and always accommodating at every level. Our flight was unfortunately delayed which put us in a bit of a bind, but the staff were quick to put our minds at ease and offer options to assist us until we were able to leave. Travel hiccups can be tremendously stressful and the manner in which this was addressed by staff… I cannot give high enough praise at the level of reassurance and ease in which we were assisted. 10/10 hospitality. We look forward to returning in the future.…
Great staff, location, parking ($40/night). Room was amazing for 2 people and hotel had everything i needed. Staff was really clean and sanitized everything, including the lobby. I prefered staying here over an airbnb since location was great, view of Oahu, and staff
The Halepuna is one of the best hotels in Waikiki. It is modern and comfortable. The service is exceptional and the location is great. This is an extremely well run hotel and reasonable priced for a high end hotel. We have stayed at many different hotels and this is one of our favorites. The rooms are on the small side but extremely modern and well kept. They put special emphasis on cleanliness with extra steps like having hair dryer and remote control wrapped in plastic.
Close to the beach, shops, restaurant. Room lights and blinds are smart controls. Room and the hotel are very clean. Had couple problem with the room, but the response are fast and done corrected well.
