This Inn felt like home. It was elegantly decorated, welcoming, and quiet. The owners truly take pride in their establishment, and were most accommodating with local information and kindnesses. Everything is totally updated, with a comfortable bed, bathroom, toiletries and we even had a fireplace and balcony to enjoy. There were little conveniences throughout the inn we appreciated. Well done.

Property's Favorite Review
I came here with my husband for a last minute weekend getaway. The Inn and its staff are lovely. The rooms are clean and well kept. We were in the adjacent building, which was great. Breakfast is delicious and just the right amount of food. We really thought the location was great. We walked to the wharf area 1-2 times each day, and it's about a 20 minute walk. However, you should just know that it is a tiny bit off the beat and path. We liked that, but just know that. Easy drive to Middletown and the mansions as well. Also, just know that you designate your breakfast choice and time choice the night before, so you just need to be aware. There is. a lovely living room that you can sit it, a beautiful yet simple outdoor area you can enjoy, and umbrellas around if you should need them. Overall a great place!!

The place was soooo Cozy and staff was very friendly. Good and quick communication by text and EZ to check in. Beautiful room with nice view, unfortunately due to the rain I wasn't able to enjoy the outdoor seating area on 3rd floor. The continental breakfast was awesome and yummy. With the duration of my stay I was able to taste almost everything on their hot food menu and they had it ready at the time requested when I would go down for breakfast. Great location, near everything and if I had to drive anywhere, it wasn't very far from there. I would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: If it rains, maybe try staying on 2nd or first floor, the wind and rain kept me up two nights.

My husband and I, with our dog, stayed at the Inn for 2 nights . We had a lovely time, it was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were responsive and friendly. They even left some treats for our pup and some bowls to use for his food & water. Would love to stay there again.

When we arrived we were warmly greeted and felt welcomed the minute we walked in the door! The amenities are amazing as you are given use of a full kitchen at the top of the house that provides coffee. tea and sweets all day/night! My daughter came to visit us in the morning at the hotel, she is a student at Salve Regina in Newport, and they allowed her to have breakfast with us. I highly recommend staying here and would go back as often as I can! Thank you to all of the staff that made this friends getaway amazing!

This is such a nice place! They literally provide you with the cleanest room, the friendliest service and a “feel-at-home” energy! That's their text, but I wholeheartedly agree with it! It's a really nice old building in the perfect location for exploring Newport's mansions and waterfront. Don't miss watching the boat builders work at IYRS School of Technology & Trades at 449 Thames Street! The hosts were friendly and helpful, the breakfast delicious. The jacuzzi and fireplace in the room made for an extra special romantic getaway!

All around, a wonderful and must stay while in Newport. The spa tub was exactly what was needed after mansion tours and cliff walk. Super clean facility, easy check-in, walking distances to the taverns and restaurants, and I can’t say enough about the homemade breakfast, which was included in the low cost of the room. Definitely going to stay again when we come back to Newport!

What a wonderful hidden gem! We have been going to Newport for many years and always stayed closer to the "action" Were we wrong!! Located right off of Broadway this slice of heave was absolutely perfect! From the communication prior to an all passcode check in to breakfast cooked to order, this was a new spot that will not only be highly recommended, but also become our go to hideaway whenever we visit Newport. the staff, the cleanliness, the comfort and the vibe of the building was so incredible we wanted to stay longer!! The amenities found in the entrance to the small touches of candy bowls, coffee maker and even the house dog will bring a smile to any traveler!! We will be back!!!

An absolutely wonderful inn. Comfortable and casual, spotlessly clean, and very friendly. I especially appreciated, their dog, friendly policy and location to Thames Street, the mansions and the wharf area of downtown. You won’t be disappointed staying here! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Newport.

I spent my birthday weekend at the Beech Tree & I certainly made the right decision. The staff (especially Irina) were friendly and helpful. The ambiance was very homey, with games, reading materials, and copious snacks available at all times. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The shower was delightful. The staff kept us well fed with choices of various delicious treats and full breakfasts each morning. Parking was provided & the Inn is located minutes from restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. If you’re planning a trip to Newport, do yourself a favor and book a room at the Beech Tree Inn & Lodge!
