After driving for 6 hours I tried to check into this hotel and was told that my room had been given away that they were over booked. I'm a Marriott Gold elite customer. My reservation was booked through their website and confirmed. Ended up with a queen bed in a handicapped room. My husband is 6'3". The clerk at the desk said to take a couple of free waters and she would add 1000 bonvoy points to my account and I would receive an email confirming this in 5 minutes. It never arrived. Checking out the next morning I once again expressed my displeasure to the clerk on duty also adding the the points were never added and the hotel is disgustingly run down and dirty. I stayed on the 3rd floor and the ceiling in the dingy hallway was waterstained and dirty. This clerk said the manager was not there but she had to call her and she would let me know what she said. I had breakfast and she said that she was sorry and her manager said she would credit me 10,000 points on Monday when she came back to work. NEVER HAPPENED! If this is the way they treat folks that are loyal to their brand I can't imagine how they treat others. I will never stay in this location and I recommend that thete are a lot of other hotels in the area you should check them out.…
The rooms were pretty average, but for the 2 nights stayed we did not have any cleaning in our rooms. They also have a basement where you can host events alongside a bar in the lobby. The hotel is also right next to a gas station and a grocery store.
The place does not have much going on for it...my app check-in was not received...none of the requests sent were fulfilled. The room was run down and the bathroom walls were dirty. The sorry coffee maker did not even have a power socket nearby. There was a big gap between the mattress and the headboard and my phone fell in...took me a while to move everything to retrieve it. The TV was from the 1900s and the air conditioning did not seem to agree with the thermostat. Half the light bulbs did not work. The silliest of stuff, checking whether the lids fit the coffee cups is a basic thing...they didn't. Just ridiculous. Totally avoidable property.
Pluses: good Chinese food just across the street next to a wine shop. Inexpensive! Quiet. Plenty of parking. Pleasant staff. Minuses: Hotel is a bit run down in a mixed commercial area. Slippery tub with no grab bar/-dangerous ! Tiny bathroom. Bed okay only. Continental breakfast had only cereal and bad coffee. Linens need a refresh.
I found the hotel to be somewhat shabby, and didn't feel particularly clean. The staff was reasonably competent and polite, but nothing noteworthy. The room was VERY loud. Noise from other rooms and the hallways kept me awake for most of the night, Given a choice, I would stay elsewhere.
