I am giving just 3* instead of 5* because of our problem checking in. We have stayed at many Holiday Inns & never had a problem finding our room. However this Hotel is an exception. Upon check-in we were told our room was # 315. The clerk said to get there drive your car to level C & then take the elevator to level 3. O.K. We park at level C, get our bags & proceed along a walkway to an outside door that goes into the hotel. As we approach the door it is opened by someone going out so we do not need to use our room scan card to open it. We find the room which was on the same level & try to open the door. Nothing worked. We call the front desk & the clerk says that she will bring us another card. We wait & wait & wait. Call the desk again. The clerk says where are you?. We say outside of #315. You were not there says the clerk. What ! Are we invisible? Anyway after much talk we & the clerk finally realize that we are in the WRONG Hotel. Yes,, the Drury Hotel shares the same parking garage & we are in the Drury.. We exit the Drury into the same parking garage & see another door around the corner. This one does lead to the Holiday Inn. After 30 min we are in our room. What a bunch of crap. On it's good side, we did have a full Hot Breakfast. Nice but small pool.…
They take care of the COVID Rules. I felt safe regarding COVID Rules . The Room was clean . I recommend this place for people traveling to San Antonio And its has great location . The staff was very friendly
I'm on the road 280-300 nights a year. By far this hotel has been one of the best if not, the best I have stayed at. Pleasant and helpful staff. Prompt shuttle pick up at the airport. Clean. Secure. Near restaurants. Hot breakfast served from a buffet behind plexiglass protection. Memorable in a good way. I'll stay here again I hope.
A MUST STAY!! CLEAN hotel, close to nearby restaurants. General Manager-Victoria, Front desk Sabrina, another rep also, (I can't remember her name), and the entire staff are amazing! They make every guest feel like VIPS! The perfect place for a staycation. Why drive out of town when you can stay close to home, swim all day in a clean spacious pool and walk to Applebees for dinner and drinks and wall back!! Housekeeping is excellent. Hotel smells clean and room amenities are well stocked. Great job Holiday Inn Express Airport! Will be visiting every chance I get!
My wife and I stayed the night before a flight. The lobby is bright and cheerful - front staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Free breakfast in the a.m., along with newspapers. "Mini" Happy Hour selected nights - choice of beer or wine and chips/pretzel type snacks. Free shuttle to the airport and free transportation to restaurants and attractions with one mile. Clean, quiet rooms - an all around pleasant experience - we would stay again.
