We stayed 3 nights in the hotel. All this time nobody from house keeping came in to clean or change the towels or take the trash out. At the front desk they said they clean every other day. They don’t. We were not been approached at this complaint and not offered a composition.that ruined our vacation. Not coming again here

First, let's say the room is fine. Clean, spacious, comfortable. That's it. They claim free wifi. It doesn't work. They offer you a 6 dollar a day option instead. The breakfast room is a dirty hallway by the front street where a buffet of barely eatable elements are scattered. The staff asks you to move over while they attempt to refill it. After all, you are in their way. They also, by the way, take their breakfast with you, apparently. Room did not get cleaned, or "refreshed", as they say, even after we notified them, twice. It's not really a hotel but rather like a youth hostel where groups of people share a room and the bill, fill their pockets of all the food they can from the breakfast buffet while the staff nonchalantly wanders the halkways between breaks. Unless you are a familly with young kids on a budget, a bunch of teenagers on an outing to the big city, or intend to stay for 2 to 3 weeks , do not consider.

I am very sorry that your experience with us was anything less than enjoyable. Although I was not made away of the issues during your stay, I would like to sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced. Stay over service is every other day according to brand standard. The breakfast offerings are aligned with the select service brand standard and has a wide variety of offerings to accommodate the majority of of dietary needs. We are a convention center hotel, so as for many of the hotels in the surrounding area if there is an event, people attending the event tend to book hotels within a walkable distance. There may have been a youth sporting event during the time of your stay. I sincerely apologize again for the issues you experienced and we will certainly do all we can to mitigate those issues moving forward.

As a Titanium member I expect a great stay with no issues with any Marriott property. The good is most of the staff I met at the hotel were pleasant and kind and I had no issues. I was also accommodated for an earlier check in so that was nice, unfortunately the room I was checked into was not to clean standards and after being told I would be switched to a different room I was told later that the hotel was sold out for the weekend and they would get someone to clean the bathroom. When I returned the room was not clean and nobody at the desk was able to help me. I did bring it up the next morning and by the time I got back in the afternoon they did clean the bathroom and restock the towels. The girl at the front desk said you will get extra points enough for a free stay for the inconvenience (I chuckled and laughed and said you need like 50,000 to even get a free night). The other issue I had was with the rate, I booked my stay several weeks ago and I had just gotten around to calling them to issue the correct rate. The person on the phone gave me a lot of attitude (unless I just mistook as attitude, after all people here have East coast accents lol) but it was a no win EVEN though I booked the room a few weeks ago. When I had asked the desk the evening of my check in I was told yes you did book it before and you can speak with the manager in the morning. Unfortunately there was no meeting in the middle, nothing, just a flat out no I won't even try. I rarely ever have an issue at a Marriott property so the bedside manner in the way I was spoken to was poor. It takes a lot for me to leave a review under 4 stars but this warranted that. If you have anything to do at the convention center or arena this is a good location since it is right across the street.

This is a fairly new hotel, conveniently located across from the Convention Center and Providence Place. It is within close proximity to a variety of very good restaurants. The rooms are nicely furnished, quiet and comfortable. Stayed here 5 nights. The staff, while very friendly, seemed disorganized. The check-in desk kept me waiting for hours to check into my room, saying it had not been cleaned yet. They kept telling me to come back in an hour. Meanwhile, I saw lots of hotel workers and housekeeping staff just standing around chatting and not doing anything. They ran out of coffee cups one day and couldn't serve coffee until the following day. Other things were occasionally missing from the breakfast offerings and took a day to be resupplied. The hotel is a great hotel in a great location but definitely needs some management oversight.

This hotel is directly across the street from the RI Convention Center and Dunkin Donuts arena in downtown Providence. If you are attending an event there, you are closest to both. It has valet parking and a great hot breakfast arrangement. The check in was fast and efficient. The rooms are spacious with almost a full kitchen, a sofa couch and a queen bed. The TV was on a pivot to face the bed or the other areas. Several of the attractions are within walking distance such as the Arts District, the Capital, the Providence Place mall, WaterFire and the train station.

I had a great experience at the Residence Inn in Providence. The location is great! Walking distance to Federal Hill, Water Fire, and most of the best shopping and eating in Providence. The staff from the front desk to the valets were great. I would especially like to mention Freddy who was at the front desk when I arrived. He is very personable and great at his job. He went out of his way to make a fellow veteran feel welcome.

Great location next to the convention center and arena and numerous restaurants on Federal Hill. The room was comfortable with a nice kitchen area. The valet people were very helpful. Only problem is that due to the location of the valet parking area and the number of people wanting to use the service, it can take 20+ minutes to get your car.

I stayed here in July 2022 during a large event that was happening across the street from the hotel, at the convention center. The hotel seemed like it simply wasn't prepared for this. Each morning when I came down, for the first 4 days of my 5-day stay, the dining area was a zoo, with virtually no food available. My own room was clean and spacious but the servicing of it was a disaster. The first day after I arrived, I used my own shampoo, but I noticed that the large dispenser of body wash was empty. I asked the staff to replace that, and to check the shampoo and conditioner since I didn't know if those were empty as well. I came back later to find a bottle of body wash and a bottle of shampoo on the counter in the kitchen, no conditioner, but the next morning I saw in the bathroom the shampoo still had life to it, but the conditioner was empty. On the way out, informed the staff; when I got back, I had yet another bottle of body wash, and conditioner. Not in the bath, mind you, just on the counter. I couldn't get theirs out (they are locked into some holder) so all these went on the small shelf. On top of this, while I had said that I would accept their offer of housekeeping service every other day, when I left $5 for housekeeping, the $5 was gone, but the room not touched. In other words, whoever left the conditioner took the money. That evening I used the kitchen for the first time. In addition to having 3 coffee cups (not 4), one wine glass (not 4), and 4 tall glasses, I found there was a single "everyday" knife (as opposed to steak knives with wooden handles, which they had several of) and no paper towels. I informed them, and got paper towels and a steak knife. I think it all comes down to being understaffed, which explains the situation at breakfast, but the lack of replenishing standard items like paper towels and shampoo indicates a lack of attention. One last thing: I will highlight that while there is a question below to say whether there was a safe, the lack of one *in the room* is another reason I would not stay here again.

Let me preface this. I needed a place to stay near home due to work going on at my apartment. I work from home normally, so I was looking forward to having the kitchen and a great workspace so I didn’t miss any work and could feel like I was “home”. I checked in and the staff was very nice. I then wen up to take a shower so I could meet some friends for dinner. I went to get in the shower and saw black footprints on the floor. Yuck! As I got in the showerX the shower curtain, which is one of those two piece cloth curtains (curtain and liner) was missing the liner. I was already in the shower so I couldn’t do much but try to spray the shower head towards the inside wall to avoid getting the floor soaked. The shower has prefilled body wash/shampoo/conditioner dispensers on the shower wall. Unfortunately the body wash was ENTIRELY empty. I had to jump out and grab a bar of soap. After I finished my shower, I went to iron my shirt. There was an ironing board and no iron. Fortunately they sent an iron up, but I was told “be careful. It’s hot because I was just using it.” I asked if we always had to call to request an iron and was told there usually one in every room. Um. Ok. Leaving the hotel for dinner, I asked for them to put a liner in the shower and to please fill the body wash. When I got back, the body wash was filled. As far as the liner, they left a new liner, still in the package, on the sink for me to hang myself. What?! I had to extend my stay a couple of times due to the pipes still being repaired at my house. On the day before my checkout, I wanted to do the few dishes I had and use the dishwasher. I opened it and I literally almost puked on the floor. The mold and rotten food smell was like someone hadn’t emptied their garbage in weeks. It filed the entire room in just a couple minutes. When I went down to give my credit card again (as I had extended and needed to re-check in) I asked to be moved as the room had been nothing but an issue and the smell was so bad I didn’t want to even go back in. The lovely girl at the front desk moved me to a different room and the final night was ok. And yes. There was an iron in the room. (No conditioner in the dispenser though) I emailed Marriott to complain and was told someone from the hotel would get back to me. Considering I paid almost $1500 for 5 nights, you would think I would have gotten some sort of a call or email, especially since I did not get $1500 worth of what I expect from a Marriott. (And a fairly new one at that) Great location, rooms are well appointed, staff is nice, but someone isn’t doing their job right. Disappointing.

My family recently stayed at this hotel for 1 night for a visit to Brown University. Hotel was nicely located in downtown Providence, within walking distance to RISD and Brown University. Our room was big and clean. Breakfast was fine. We were very impressed by the super friendly and helpful front desk staff, particularly Freddie, for his great attitude and wonderful service.
