We missed our flight to Los Angeles on July 26 because of a delay at JFK. Our flight landed at 12:30AM. Delta Airlines booked us a room at Double Tree. We took a chance and called the hotel to see if they could pick us up. Expecting a no, we were delighted that they sent Chad to pick us up. He arrived within minutes and took us to the hotel. The two women that worked the front desk were wonderful. We were quickly checked in and given a room. The room was clean, spacious and the bed super comfortable. Thank you for making our unexpected stay very pleasant!

I stayed there three weeks on a business trip. The hotel has very nice decor and an indoor swimming pool with a large area to lounge. The room was clean and stylish. There was plenty of USB ports and outlets all over the room. The climate control was responsive and did a good job of maintaining the desired temperature. The only drawback was that it was really loud when it turned on…but so was my neighbor which I could easily hear from a door that connected both our rooms. Not a big issue, still had a pleasant stay. The staff there is not only nice but responsive and took care of solving any problems we had. The few issues that arose had to do with billing. Some of my team had been billed an incorrect rate for their stay, but that got fixed promptly. The hotel offers a $15 credit that can be used for food from their restaurants, an on site starbucks, or the mini store. Unfortunately the breakfast is $18…so $15 doesnt cover it all; which in my opinion is odd for a hotel to do that….why not cover it all? At first my team was going to go just stay one week because of this and go another hotel that did cover the full breakfast, credit or not. But then we discovered the starbucks around the corner and it also offered breakfast burritos…so we stayed the full time there. The credit doesnt cover alcohol…and SLC has limits on the amount liquor in a drink…so theres that. But the bar had a great choice of craft brews; with some being local. The gym was nice and clean; I always appreciate a gym that has all it machines functional. There was no water cooler in there, so bring your own water. The patio fire wasnt working but we all still enjoyed the cool night by the beautiful lake in the back of the hotel. The ducks were nice to watch. Overall a its a great stay and the staff were A++.

This is a great place to stay. I’ve stayed here several times for a night at a time, when flying out the next day. They have an amazing Mongolian Beef rice bowl, great beds+pillows.. It’s clean, friendly, and best of all great service. Today I flew in in a snowstorm. The shuttle driver took me right to my car, so I wouldn’t have to drag my suitcase through the slush in the parking lot, then he put my suitcase in my trunk, AND brushed the snow off my car. Seriously? All my stays here have been great, but this one was above and beyond. It’s a gem, a well kept secret. Part of me didn’t want to write this because I don’t want it to be difficult to book in the future. My only suggestion is perhaps the desk attendant could give customers a map with their room marked. Sometimes finding the room is difficult due to the way it’s laid out. For me this is a minimal complaint and the rest of this establishment makes up for it!

First let me say I did not report the issues I just dealt with them.

I was in room 270 and the bathroom fan squealed and sounded like it would catch fire if it ran for any length of time. The heat would hum and make a noise when it turned off making it difficult to sleep. Solution was to not turn the bathroom fan on and turn the heat off while I slept. Temp was not bad in the morning it was 65 deg.

Only 1 person working in the restaurant and he was the host, waiter and server. Several people came in to the restaurant and left because there was no one at the desk to seat them. I placed my food and drink order together and the food came out before my drink was delivered from the bar which is next door. Every time the server came into the restaurant from the back hands would go up for the check or a drink or whatever they needed. You would only see this person about every 10 min. The food was fine I had a hamburger and fries but nothing special.

After dinner I when over to the bar it was small and the service was quick as it should have been because they had 3 people working. One of these people should have been helping in the restaurant.

Dear jonesbs1, Thank you for your honesty and the time taken to share your review. While we appreciate you "dealt" with these issues, we wish we were made aware your stay was falling short of expectations. We only want the best for you as our valued guest, and we will do everything in our power to make your stay as comfortable and effortless as possible. We will follow up with our maintenance team regarding the noisy fan and HVAC unit, and we've also shared your insight with our service staff in the restaurant. It's our intention to use this as a teachable moment and tweak our service levels to meet our typically outstanding hospitality levels. We welcome the opportunity to show you this was a one time fluke and hope you will consider staying again should your travels bring you back to our area.

The hotel it self is nice, but staff was not good at all. Got to the hotel at 1pm to be told no rooms available yet and I can check in at 3pm. The hotel offers a shuttle to the airport only. I've stayed at other locations that will take you a 3 mile radius. I ate at their restaurant which food was great, waiter had to many tables to help. I had to ask him multiple times for the cheese & peppers for my pizza. He also forgot our dessert order and had to remind him again. My mom ordered a soda and water. She asked for the soda to go and he brings her a cup that had some type of food on it. I payed for the food and the tried to check in. Chantelle check me in. She seemed overwhelmed with the people in line waiting to check in. We had check-in our bags while we ate and instead of getting them for us she said can you come here to find them, you'll find them faster.
She proceeded to tell me I had to put a credit card on file, when our company pays for the room and my incidentals. This should have been in their notes and on the contract as I'm one of the only names that our company pays for the incidentals. I asked that our restaurant charge be changed to the master of file. Chantelle said she would have the manger work on it and I have yet to see a credit. I also had someone (I think Boise?) call my room twice asking for a credit card to put on file. Besides the bad service, room was nice & comfortable. We did have to ask for house cleaning to bring a bathroom trash can because there was not one. The housekeeper was surprised that there wasn't one and sent a young man to deliver it that came to the room like we were bothering him for asking for one. It's unfortunate with a great hotel, good food, hotel shuttle that I won't be staying their again or recommending it to our company again.

I stayed here a few nights ago. We came in after a long day and were looking to get some food. We were informed that the hotel was not providing room service “due to Covid” Since many other hotels are doing the same I figured that they were very safety cautious. We were told we could order food in the restaurant for take out which I did. I went into their bar/restaurant which was completely full with people sitting side by side at the bar watching the football game and cheering. Nobody was wearing a mask. I seems to me they are just like many other businesses using Covid as an excuse to reduce services while increasing prices.
The rooms were Ok and I had no issues with them. They were clean and up to date.

Room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Not a far drive from the city. Breakfast was really good and they surprisingly offered several different hot sauces for the eggs. It's not everyday you see that. Drinks at the bar were good. One of the beers offered was called "Polygamy Porter" HA! I wish some of the other hotels we stayed at on our trip were this nice!

Solidly average, very large hotel. We stayed as a stopover on a longer road trip and had requested adjoining rooms with our friends. Unfortunately the crowdstrike meltdown happened that same weekend so they were fully booked and we didn’t get adjoining rooms (our friends actually ended up pretty far away from us). But considering the circumstances that was understandable, if still disappointing. That was probably the reason we didn’t get those famous Doubletree cookies ant check in either.

The rooms were pretty standard, but it was clear they used to be in the smoking section of the hotel. They’ve tried to mitigate as best they can, but the smell still lingers. It’s probably not the end of the world if you can bring yourself to be nostalgic about that kind of thing.con the other hand, the first floor balcony rooms are AMAZING for dog owners. Being able to just take our dog right out to a grassy area for a walk around the lake without having to go through the lobby was super convenient. The first floor balcony rooms are probably the only reason I would stay at this specific location though. There are other Hilton branded properties in the area that are newer and don’t have that lingering smoke-abatement smell.

I booked 6 rooms for my employees after a business meeting. Doubletree is usually a great spot to stay for these purposes. However, this property’s restaurant remains closed while the other hotels in the area with restaurants are open. One being another Hilton Property. Had I known this prior, I would’ve booked at the Hilton Garden Inn. Also, the design is horrible. You literally have to walk a ridiculous distance to get to any rooms on the 4th and 5th floors. Employees where great, but property itself is less than ideal and will be off of my list for my next trip to Salt Lake City.

Hotel did not honor my reservation for 2 connecting rooms for a family of 6. On the day of check-in the rooms were clearly not what I requested and I called ahead before I even departed from home across the country. I was assured that if rooms could not connect, then enough beds would be rolled into the two level room to accommodate my family. When I arrived at 11:30 pm, I was told that they had only 2 beds for the 6 of us and if we wanted two rooms that the second room would have to be on another floor across the hotel. Even then, there would not be enough beds for everyone. I had to call around at midnight to find another hotel with enough beds for us. Then this hotel refused to cancel the reservation and still charged me for it! Every time I call to have it fixed, I’m told the manager is not available and will call me back, and they never do!
Beware! This hotel will not honor your reservation and will not do anything to correct their error.

The Executive lounge is closed during the weekends. What they will offer you is a voucher to use in their regular breakfast restaurant.
