Overall we were quite disappointed with our stay here. The property was well-maintained and clean. Our bed was comfortable and our room was clean. However we were very disappointed in the breakfast service. We went to breakfast at 7:30 they had already run out of scrambled eggs, and biscuits and gravy, so a small muffin and glass of juice wasn’t really breakfast in our opinion. We were also disappointed that there was no seating. In a hotel to be occupied by 200 to 300 people you would think they would have more than eight seats at breakfast. Doubt very much that we will stay there again.

This was a nice and a friendly airport hotel that provided a great night sleep and enough amenities for the price of the room. Morning breakfast is served by the attendent in s cafeteria style which is nice because it is safer in covid times. The desk and the staff we encountered were all very nice and friendly. The manager was very kind in picking us up at the airport and taking us to the hotel. She was bubbly and friendly personality. Rooms were clean and facilities up to do

You do get what you pay for. I know this is a budget hotel so I wasn't expecting five-star amenities. The hotel is RIGHT next to the freeway (see pic). My room (340) was the closest to the freeway and I could hear the trucks and cars going by all night long. So be forewarned. The room and bathroom were very clean but it's a little spartan and the towels and washcloths are very thin. I found the mattress very hard and pillows lumpy. The breakfast was edible but that's about it. They had a waffle maker but by the time I got down there at 7:30am (breakfast is from 6-9am) the waffle batter was pretty much out. They had sausage and biscuits and gravy but the gravy looked very thin and unappetizing. They did have cereal and bagels and toast though. I think some yogurt too. All in all this hotel is fine for a budget one-night stay but just know that if your room is close to the freeway you will hear it all night.

Before making our reservation with Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Salt Lake City Airport, we ensured via the website that this hotel was adhering to Covid-19 cleaning standards to ensure the safety and health of its guests. This could not have been further from the truth. Upon entering our room we immediately felt uncomfortable and unsafe as it had clearly not been cleaned since the last guests. There was hair in the shower, toothpaste and spit on the sink and stains on the linen. This would have been unacceptable regardless of the situation but considering we are in the midst of a global pandemic, we were appalled.

Adam who was working reception at the front desk could not have been more accommodating and kind. He offered us another room but as we felt our health was in jeopardy at this location we politely declined. He made sure to get our contact information and even checked in the next day to make sure we had been able to get in touch with the manager.

Unfortunately our experience with the manager, Kara Carlson, was exactly the opposite. We requested a refund due to the hotel not meeting general nor Covid-19 health standards. Ms. Carlson was rude and condescending. She told us that the state of the room should not have been an issue, and that since we had been offered another room we were not eligible for a refund. She was in no way apologetic and incredibly indifferent to our very valid health concerns. When I explained that I was going home to at risk family members and was extremely concerned about coronavirus she was indifferent. When asked if there was someone else we could speak to about this issue she stated that any letter or complaint we wrote to corporate would be of no use because it would just end up back on her desk.

After this disgusting and disappointing experience I would never stay in this hotel or any Wyndham hotel again and would advise anyone else to do the same. This is no longer a matter of getting a refund, but a general health and safety concern.

The outside of this hotel is beautiful and it’s close to the airport. However, if you don’t just need a cheap place to sleep, possibly spend a few bucks more for a nicer spot. The soap and lotion dispensers knocked off the wall every time I’d turn the light on in the bathroom. They had dispensers instead of individual shampoo/conditioners. I don’t know why that bothered me so much but the soaps looked old when you’d use them. It looked like there was mold on the upper ceilings of the bathroom and some spots had been painted over. Their towels are extremely small. Their fridge had a broken leg so it would almost fall every time you opened it. The room has weird black mirrors behind the bed, which some people might be into. But if your just there for a quick cheap overnight stay, the beds aren’t too bad. The breakfast had some good options. You could tell the sausage was precooked and reheated sausage. The eggs were watery and there was a woman that served us the sausage and eggs. But they had cereals, breads, and muffins that were great.

I booked a room here because they advertised free parking, so we could leave a car for a few days, then they charged me $30, even after I showed them on the website that it was advertised as free parking. When we returned from our trip a couple days later at about noon, I called for a shuttle and I was informed the shuttle didn't run until after 4 pm, so we had to get a taxi, which cost us another $35.00. They would not refund any money for picking up the car early or any reimbursement for the taxi. The rooms are old and run down. I will never stay there again.

Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your feedback. We are sad to see your experience with us. We do offer free parking while you are staying with us, however, we do charge a parking fee if you are leaving your vehicle with us while you fly out. We offer a great package that allows our guests to save a lot of money compared to parking at the airport. Unfortunately, upon your return, we had to temporarily shut down our shuttle service as per recommendations from our state health officials due to Covid. We did this entirely to protect our guests and staff from unintended exposure. We hope you will take these points into consideration and give us another chance in future. We Hope you are safe and healthy!

I had the pleasure of being a guest at this hotel for the past week. Kara & Candice we’re top notch in taking care of my concerns for my rewards points, ensuring a light professional tone; that did not out weigh the personal touch given at any hour for any slight concern. At a time when COVID19 has disrupted the opportunities for families to take some needed time out, I applaud the meticulous housekeepers who were engaging and intuitive about our needs from day to day. Good memories and good people.

Free shuttle that was the entire reason we booked this hotel was in fact not available when I was told it would be (5:00 AM). We were given the option to risk our international flight the next day by waiting for the 5:30 AM shuttle, get an Uber at $25, or a taxi at $18. The free 5:00 shuttle was literally the entire reason we booked this property, so for it not to be available was disappointing and stressful to say the least.

The bathroom water wasn't hot, was actually barely lukewarm. The vending machine took my money and didn't produce the drink I was trying to buy (fortunately, after some skepticism, the front desk did).

Untrustworthy is the best way I can term our stay. We'll never be back.

Stayed on 6/21/21. Booked because of rate & free shuttle service. Looks nothing like the photos on the website. Was charged a 50.00 deposit upfront & not sure if I am going to get back, it was not on my receipt. I was told "they were not the ones charging it' . This was NOT stated on the website. Had to wait to be checked, no one as the front desk.Learned at check in shuttle service was down & we had to pay for a cab. This was not noted on the website either that shuttle service was down. If you advertise shuttle service & it is down you should offer voucher for the cab service & pay that fee. They would not assist in helping you book your cab either. Breakfast was a joke. Had to ask for it. For the cost of the room, the 50.00 deposit & 18.00 cab ride we could've stayed up the street at a nicer hotel that looked like the pictures, had a nicer room, nicer breakfast, & a shuttle ride to the airport. Room had a funky smell, sheets had stains on it, blanket had holes in it, no extra toilet paper only what was on the roll & it was not full, the toilet kept flushing after you would flush it. Had to keep jiggling the handle until it would stop. This has been the worst experience I ever had at a hotel. Please update your website with current photos of what your hotel really looks like and please remove your shuttle service if you are not going to have it running and working for your guest when they need it. And include the 50.00 deposit clause when booking so people are aware of it.

We walked into room107 and heard the toilet running constantly. I'm handy so I took the lid off and fixed the flapper. Had to do it a lot in the 1 day we were there. The ceiling in the bathroom had obvious water damage around the ceiling fan and heat lamp. The exhaust fan was so loud with a grinding noise that we couldn't use it. I woke up at around 5 in the morning to use the restroom and it was like a waterfall from the ceiling. I went to the front desk to report it and the lady working just rolled her eyes in frustration because it's obviously a common problem. Didn't want to wake my wife up to move to another room so we just stayed. Asked for a room just to shower in because I didn't want to turn on a wet electric motor in the ceilng because it was a firwe hazard but none were available of course. I started my shower in the dark and the water was warm but not hot. After a couple minutes it was just cold water. We were flying out that day so I toughed it out enough to get basic clean. Upon checkout I asked for a refund and no one there was able to do that. Left my name and phone number and no call yet. I've called a few times and there is never a person there that can give a refund. I'm going to call the fire department not out of spite but that fan is a real fire hazard.

Give them a call. I found them to be very reasonable. I left my car there once for 14 days ($20). I hadn't stayed the night but did on the return. When I stayed there the night before departure, I believe there was no charge.

oops failed to mention regarding microtel's shuttle service: it stops at 11AM, therefore you would have to take a taxi (less than $20) if you want to go later in the day, or return in mid-day.
