Detailed Reviews
With all the choices of hotels by SLC airport, I would not choose to stay here again.
The good: the room was clean and modern.
The not so good: The airport shuttle had stopped running by the time I got to the airport, which is understandable, given the pandemic. However, it would be helpful to note this on the website. Also, there was confusion on whether or not I would be reimbursed for taking an Uber. The person I called at the hotel said I would be reimbursed for taking an Uber, but the person at the front desk said they do not reimburse for Ubers.
There was no coffe maker in the room, and the container of coffee down in the lobby was empty in the morning.
Also, the website says breakfast is available, but fails to mention it's available at a restaurant next door outside of the hotel.

Thank you for staying with us and we apologize that you were not satisfied with your stay. Given the pandemic, many of our hotel's amenities are unavailable which is mentioned on the websites. We hope to welcome you back in the future when everything is back open!

This is a nicely remodeled Four Points. The front desk person was very nice and welcoming. The hotel has a nice aesthetic to it (well in the inside). It is in an area with not much to do or eat. The area seems like an office park with many airport hotels in it. My room faced the back and I did not hear any road noise see the highway runs in front of the hotel.

I spent 3 nights here while in the area for work. My room was clean but the property overall is dated and in need of further renovations. The rooms have been renovated but the building is old and there is only so much that can be done to it. I prefer newer construction properties and if in the area again, I would not choose this hotel. The worst part of my stay was the constant and loud highway noise that kept me awake at night. The hotel is located right next to a busy highway and my room faced that side. If you stay here make sure to ask for a room opposite the highway! I also was disappointed by the very small restaurant, lacking adequate seating and waitstaff. The service was terrible, the menu is very limited and there was only one bartender and one waitress during my stay during dinner. As an alternative, there is a casual restaurant right across the street called Perkins that I recommend for good American diner style food, great service and reasonable prices. My only other criticism of this property is that they don’t seem to care if you are a Titanium member or not. I was not welcomed as such at checkin and there was no mention of my property benefits. I love Marriott properties in general, but this one was below my expectations.

hobiecatsailor, We apologize if our location near I-80 detracted from your stay, many guest enjoy it as it allows for quick and easy access to get directly to downtown Salt Lake City. We value all our members and appreciate their continued loyalty as we work through the ongoing staffing shortages facing the hospitality industry.

As someone who is well aware of the current conditions with travel and COVID19 , I try and practice a lot of patience. I do expect a Marriott property to maintain the Marriott standards.
After doing online check in 2 days early, and me following up with the hotel 6 hours before we arrive , they acted completely shocked that we had arrived to check in. It was abundantly clear that they were not slammed or full. After 20 minutes we finally got checked in to our rooms
The room was modern, clean and comfortable. Then at 9 AM while I was in the shower, Housekeeping was knocking on the door and would not stop. I finally got out of the shower and asked them to come back later
They offer no breakfast at all. The coffee pots were empty at 9:20 AM.
This hotel is VERY unorganized and not a typical Marriott experience.

Completely disappointed. They Advertise a 24 hour shuttle service but they won’t honor this. Staff doesn’t care if you are an elite member nor will they recognize it. Had to pay our own way to the hotel from the airport because they do not run the shuttle like advertised. Requested A late check out and got locked out of our room because they failed to reset the doors and it shut off all room keys at noon.
Blaming the pandemic doesn’t have to be an excuse for making our first day of vacation miserable. Being in the travel industry I would assume that they would want their guests to have a good experience since we do know that both the travel and the hotel industry is suffering greatly.
I’ve always had great stays at Marriott properties, but this stay, I would recommend for travelers to look elsewhere.

My wife and I always keep a list of our five worst hotel visits of each year. It’s only February and this hotel is on the list for 2020. Ouch. From the tacky check in area to the bar that serves $6.00 wine for $12.00 and offers a sad menu, there is nothing here to praise. But, it’s the terrible room that caused us to issue a low review grade.
The rooms are cramped spaces with inadequate lighting. The HVAC systems are antiquated and hard to regulate - you either freeze or fry. The beds and pillows should have been retired to the dumpster years ago. It’s impossible to get a good nights sleep. We’ve stayed at several SLC Airport hotels and this has proven to be among the least satisfactory of the lot. We’d stay in down town SLC and risk missing our morning flight before we’d stay here again. There are better choices.

I do not recommend! The reception was careless, said that my card did not go through but the bank advised that it had authorized it and then the charge appeared twice on the other card. When I questioned it, I was just told to rest assured that I would not be charged because it does not appear on the hotel's website. We will see! The room was not cleaned and when I asked they said with little care that it is cleaned every other day, but no one warned in advance. Simply terrible! We hate it! I do not recommend! It runs away from the Sheraton standard.

Dear Decepcao, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience during your stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Salt Lake City Airport. Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and I sincerely apologize for failing to meet your expectations. We have recently discovered that when guests use pre-paid cards or even some debit cards, it will initially decline in our system but the bank the card is with will still withhold the funds. The money will eventually be refunded. It something that you will have to call the bank to initiate. Also, per Marriott policy, we do only offer room cleaning services every other day. This is on our website and I will work with the front desk to ensure they are telling the guests when checking them in to ensure no one else has this experience. I hope you choose to stay with us again when your travels bring you back to the area.

Had a wonderful quick stay at this hotel. The room was clean and they offered a free shuttle to the airport. It runs every half hour and on the hour. The restaurant is open until 10 o’clock at night, no room service. I highly recommend anyone who would like to save some money or have an early flight to stay here. I will be back. Thank you so much.

The good-
Beds are super comfy.
Proximity to airport.
The not so good-
1)Airport shuttle stops at midnight so if your flight gets in late, good luck getting there.
2)Shower floor is extremely slippery. The bath mat provided helps but not large enough to cover fully. Perhaps texturizing the floor might help.
3)Housekeeping literally knocked on our door at 8:00 am. We were there for one night, check out is 11. Why is housekeeping knocking on doors at 8 am? And they knocked on every door in the hallway.

NJ5travelers, thank you for your feedback on the shower floors. We will definitely look into doing something to make the entire surface less slippery. Our housekeeping does have to start knocking on doors when they start their shift as many guests leave without informing the front desk. However, they do not knock on doors that have the do not disturb hanger on it as it indicates there are still guests inside. Without knocking they wouldn't be able to access any rooms until after the checkout time of noon.

Had a nonrefundable reservation for March 5th, while enroute to Sonoma, CA. Another big snowstorm was forecasted for the California Sierras, starting on March 4th thru March 6th. NWS Reno warned motorists that I-80 would likely have road closures at least two days past our March 5th stay. That forced us to radically change our driving route. So did ask for a nonrefundable cancelation due to the weather and was denied. No explanation, no discussion, just no. An interesting customer service attitude. So beware of the Four Seasons customer service. If your room or meeting request impacts their bottom line, your request will likely be denied.

Dear 192patr, I recognize your time is valuable and appreciate the feedback you have provided. Receiving warm and friendly service from our staff sets the tone for a great stay. This was not your experience, and I sincerely apologize for failing to meet your expectations. I have shared your feedback with the associates, and as a teachable moment, we have discussed our service standards and reviewed improvement opportunities in the service they provide. I am confident that these necessary steps will ensure your experience is an isolated incident. However, I am confused by your comment. You state that you booked a non-refundable rate and asked for a non-refundable cancellation, meaning you did not expect a refund and they said "no"? I can't fathom any member of my team saying that so definitely would like to know more about who you interacted with. I hope you choose to stay with us again, whenever your travels bring you back to the area.
