The Anniversary Inn 5th South captivates guests with its whimsically themed rooms and in-room jetted tubs, though the charm is occasionally marred by signs of wear and maintenance concerns. While the staff's friendliness is often applauded, the inconsistency in service and maintenance responsiveness has not gone unnoticed.
Travelers appreciate the hotel's clean environment and accessible location, but some feel the experience does not justify the price. Additionally, noise levels have been a point of contention for those seeking a restful night's sleep.

Detailed Reviews
My wife and I used to love coming here. Unfortunately, the cost no longer matches the experience/luxury you are expecting. The beds are severely in need of updating, We've stayed in several rooms at the 5th South location and they've all been pretty uncomfortable and saggy in the middle. We've woken up with really stiff backs and didn't sleep well. We've always loved the themes in the rooms, the beautiful decor and the huge bath tubs. That part they've always done really well and it makes it fun but they are really out of date with offering internet/wi-fi, more comfortable beds and all the rooms still have blu-ray/dvd players instead of allowing for any kind of streaming services. We tried to connect to the internet and were only getting 4mb/download speeds and that's after we talked to the front desk and they tried rebooting the routers. If they were to spend a bit of money on keeping it more up to date it would be worth staying here but until they do, it's not really worth the money you are paying.

First I will start off with some good stuff. We stayed in the Forty Niner room. Like my husband said; as long as we are together we still have a great time no matter what. When we arrived the front desk lady (I don't know her name) was very accomodating. She was extremely busy but very nice and friendly. They had a rush of people checking in so she needed more help but we were not in a hurry so it was fine. We got checked into our room and then we had ordered pizza, chips and artichoke dip and cheesecake. The food was ok. The pizza and dip was a little cold and there is no microwave so you just have to deal. The bathroom tile wasn't all attached and there was one in the middle that had been replaced but was not even close to the same color. The toilet took a couple of times before it would flush. When the upstairs guests drained their bathtub it leaked onto our living room carpet. We told front desk when we noticed in the morning of our first night but nothing was done. Breakfast was delivered right to our door which was nice and the yogurt parfait was very good. We didn't realize that if you stay 2 nights you only get breakfast the first morning. Had we known we would have bought some breakfast while we were out and about the night before for the next morning. So I think the front desk needs to let guests know you only get breakfast one of the mornings. Our room was a lot smaller than it looks on the picture and even though it does show in the picture I didn't think about how there was not anywhere to sit except for a couple of tiny wooden benches next to the wall. The big tub with jets did help my husbands back in the mornings. But the bed was a full size, not a queen on a queen size bed frame so it slid around a lot. I would say it is time for the mattress to be replaced. The carpet will need replacement as well since it gets wet everytime the upstairs tub is drained. I doubt we will be back but it was ok to stay here once.

What a fun place to stay at! So many rooms to chose from too! Every room is different and they all have hot tubs, some with waterfalls. We picked the Train Room (I don’t recall it’s proper name) and it was completely decked out as a train car room. We also were able to easily walk to dinner which was nice. They have a library of DVD’s in the lobby if you want to check anything out. And they served a very nice breakfast to our room In the am. If your looking for something a little different, stay here!

My wife and I celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary here at the anniversary inn this month, and went with the Egypt themed room as a nod back to our honeymoon spent at the Luxor in Las Vegas Nevada.
Between the two hotels, the Anniversary Inn far exceeds the Luxor.
The decor was fantastic, the service was amazing, the small amenities such as chilled sparkling apple cider, breakfast included and brought right to your door at the time slot you request, and add on amenities such as the movie snack pack, made for a night of relaxation and movie watching (Raiders of the Lost Ark) absolutely fantastic and memorable.
My initial impression from the website was that because each room was individually themed, this would have a bit of a chintzy or cheap feel to it in an effort to simply create a themed impression for each individual room at both locations. I could not have been more wrong.
The bedding, the wall Decor, the steps, and the small features like the cobra faucet in the shower, the large statues, and intricate hieroglyphic details really brought the theme and a sense of adventure to life.
The privacy was fantastic and the staff makes every effort to accommodate requests and ensure guests are treated well and left alone.
I really can not say enough good things about our expand will most assuredly be going back again soon.

The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, fun and certainly unique, and we were quickly accommodated and moved when a toilet was leaking in our first room. However, the breakfasts were very minimal and we didn’t receive half of our order either day despite calling and asking numerous times and then had to ask to remove the additional food charge several times for the never received food (we seriously only received a croissant and a cup of coffee.) Our car was broken in to at 1am on the first night in the garage that is locked and caged at 10pm and has no other car or pedestrian access after that time. We got conflicting stories on whether or not there were cameras (never received footage) and they said by explanation that it happens frequently. It was fun once but we won’t be returning,

This is the 3rd time we've stayed at the 5th S. location, and it ended up being our favorite room so far. For this visit we stayed in the French Connection under a "Suite of the Month" promotion and loved everything about the room. I wasn't sure what to expect, this being one of their lowest tiered rooms (a ruby room), but you can tell there was no oversight in the thought and details that were put into this suite. We loved being transported to Paris for a quick overnight stay, and even the SLC trax running outside the room wasn't overly bothersome as it added to that big city feel. The exposed brick was beautiful, the tub was huge, and the bed was quite comfortable. We're looking forward to returning in the future.
FYI: This room is on the 3rd level so be aware that you'll be going up a good amount of stairs (no elevators), but the bonus of this location is not having anyone above you, and only one other suite shares the same side of the hallway so it's relatively quiet other than outside street noise.

I wonder if you pick the most expensive rooms if it's a better experience?? It was nice to get away for night from our toddler but this place is lacking.
We stayed in the Jackson Hole room, clean but super outdated. Weird western pictures of kids and families for décor, Nice it had a fridge but the thing was rickety I'm surprised it still worked. No outlet by the bed (cause you know most people use their cell phones in bed and as an alarm clock now) the one on the wall wouldn't hold a plug. No instructions on the shower? We had no idea there was one until we read some of the other notes from previous guests. The staff was not friendly checking in and checking out and no hours listed on their food items for purchase from the front desk. When I called to order food at 9:15pm they said it was too late. No coffee or coffee maker in the room, breakfast was mediocre. Biscuits and gravy was luke warm and no microwave to warm it up in.
Suggestions? Put your hours on when you can order room service in your book, put a damn coffee machine in the rooms (or at least offer one for people who want it), how about microwaves in the rooms too, put a vending machine in the hall for late snackers if you aren't offering food past what? 8pm? I have no idea. You really should offer toast with every breakfast option. Update your Jackson hole room, the carpet is like 30 years old!

First, I need to mention we are from out of state & had dr appts in Draper but we are such light sleepers that staying in a hotel is hard, due to the noise. It never fails that we end up staying somewhere that has school teams that run up & down the halls all night or next door to a crying baby almost every time. So we decided to stay here & just drive back & forth for the appts as it should've been nice & quiet since there's no kids.
Anniversary Inns are meant for nice relaxing, quiet stays, which is why we choose them. Boy were we wrong staying here!
We stayed in Mysteries of Egypt the 1st night & the room next to us blared their tv until almost 11pm. You'd think being a former jail the walls would be thick...wrong!
Then the ice machine around the corner made noise all night & someone started filling up something large (like a cooler, which took them numerous trips) around 7am. We had asked for breakfast to be delivered at 9am, it was delivered at 9:12. Not a huge deal, but an inconvenience since we had already now been up since 7am & didn't get to sleep until late, & not soundly, due to the ice machine. The food was overcooked and cold. Bacon was lukewarm at best, the raspberry croissant and ham & cheese had burnt spots & yet weren't even warm when we bit into them.
When we checked out of that room in the morning we told them we had another reservation that night for a different room & asked if they would let us know when it was clean so we could check in, instead of waiting until 5pm, as that is what the Logan location has always done & he said he would let us know no later than 3pm. Well they never called so we had to wait.
We've been staying at Anniv Inns for probably 20 yrs now & the last 10 years or so we have stayed at least 2 nts per year every year for our anniversary, with the majority of them being in Logan due to the size of the rooms & themes.
There are numerous other places to stay & there's no way I can recommend anyone staying here anymore after the past 2 nights.
When the front desk clerk asked how everything was, I politely let him know about everything. I told him it was horrible & I was sad as Anniv Inn used to be my favorite place to stay & after everything we went through it's not a place I could recommend anymore.
I told him that I hope Anniv Inn gets back to the way they used to be & he said the only way anything will get to management is that I had to post it on a negative review. Wow, really?

My husband called Anniversary inn to ask if we could have an extension on a certificate we bought last December to support a food donations to help feed the hungry. The certificate expires in Dec 2020. We have not been able to travel or stay in hotels this year due to covid and my husband being over 65 and high risk. We have stayed in Anniversary Inn annually over a weekend that also had a Utah football game on the calendar that we could attend. They told my husband NO they would not extend it and then when he asked to speak to the manager - the gal said she was the manager, then he asked to speak to the owner and she also said she was the owner. We don’t know if that was all true - but they hung on him and he was very kind on the phone explaining these are covid times. We will not stay there again!!!

This stay was a disappointment, the room was freezing cold, called front desk they said there was a space heater. There wasn’t one! No bedspread just very very thin blanket and sheet. Cold air blowing through bottom of door, room decor not up to expectations we had from staying at Logan inn before. Checked out early couldn’t get warm.
