Hotel's Favorite
First time staying at a Radisson Hotel, and we enjoyed it.
The location was perfect, it was near the LDS conference building and many more places we were looking forward to visit.
The only down fall was that there wasn’t many restaurants near by.
The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The view from our room was perfect.
The is a restaurant on the first level of the hotel by the front desk, we had lunch there. I ordered a Cheeseburger and it was super good!
The front desk and security guard were very kind and friendly. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Very disappointed that this Radisson Hotel was not equipped with handicapped bathrooms &/or tubs. No grab bars in bathroom at all. No grab bars in bathtub/shower. Toilet paper roll on wall was not placed where a person could reach - located on wall behind and to the left of the toilet. Difficult for handicapped person to reach toilet paper and to sit on very low toilet. The room was updated with hardwood floors, décor, draperies, etc but the bathroom remained non-ADA accessable! Two elevators out of Four DID NOT work during week Feb. 25 to March 1, 2019. Hotel staff were very friendly and the Buffet Breakfast for the RootsTech 2020 attendees was the best part of the week!

We appreciate the feedback and will use it to fine tune our operations in the hope that upon your next visit we can exceed your expectations. Please be advice that we have put a plan to do renovations in several areas of our hotel and these improvements will take place on 2020. Part of these renovations will be our elevators and unfortunately this is something that it takes some time. We just finished our parking lot elevator and we will continue until all elevators are done. I assure you we are working diligently to do these improvements as soon as we can to better serve you and provide better options to all our customers. Sincerely, Radisson Hotel Salt Lake City Downtown

They just remodeled this hotel . . Very good . . I am truly impressed. They didn’t touch the two lower floors . . Very ol school . . Would not recommend . . These rooms are for Priceline and Expedia clients . . . I would highly recommend securing an upgraded room. They should have removed the bathtubs with walk in showers and also removed the old Motel 6 Heaters/AC units with much quieter technology. Butttt the location is great . . 1 block from Temple Square - right next to Vivant Arena and Salt Palace. Loved the flooring and the very large high quality Flat Screen. I would recommend and I will go back . . Remodeled room only . . Be careful. Valet and front desk did a great job!

My wife and I stayed one night for a “staycation” away from the kids. First impression with the front desk was great. The receptionist was nice, courteous, and helpful. She did seem overly busy and needed some help though. The lobby, elevators, and corridor were just fine.
Our room however was in need of some major fixes. The toilet constantly ran. Multiple times I had to get up and lift the toilet lid and manually fix things. It’s not easy to sleep when the toilet randomly starts to fill. The pillows on the beds were all flat and cheap.
The air conditioning/heater unit was extremely loud and the walls need some insulation or sound proofing. The tv setup needed some sort off guide or show listing. Nobody likes to have to scroll through each channel to see what is on. Even a basic Comfort Inn has this type of service. These type of fixes are acceptable in a 2-3 star hotel. They are not acceptable in a 4 start listed hotel. If this property were listed more appropriately, I likely wouldn’t be as disappointed. Unfortunately, at least 5 couples have asked how the hotel was And my answer has been, don’t waste your time. I would tell everyone else the same here. Your money is better spent at another property if you are looking for a nicer hotel. I thought I was getting a good deal to stay at a nice property, I feel like I was scammed and over charged for a 3 star hotel. Parking was also expensive.
On a good note, the mattress was nice and didn’t feel cheap. The TV was of good size. The room was contemporarily decorated but the chairs were so cheap and uncomfortable. It looked nice from a distance. It would look nice in pictures.
Unfortunately when you looked up close at the walls, paint, and furniture, it looked like a small bandaid had been placed on a property that needs to be surgically repaired.

This hotel has a super location in downtown SLC but suffers from what I can only describe as an inconsistent staff. While some of the staff are very nice and helpful, most notably the room attendants and breakfast staff, the personnel at the front desk (a customer's first and last impression) seemed poorly trained and unenthusiastic. Most of them seemed unhappy and made little eye contact even when it was not at all busy. Having said this, our room was decent and very well cleaned/straightened each day. The breakfast put on for our conference attendees was EXCELLENT and the staff there were the best in the hotel. By contrast, the staff in the hotel restaurant were not at all good, with the exception of one waitress we had on our final night (stayed 5 nights, ate in the restaurant on 3 occasions). There was no one really greeting and seating efficiently, leaving guests to wait a long time to be seated. Food was good though. Another down side of this hotel is that it has a sizable main lobby with a small coffee shop but the coffee shop was never open while we were there and NO complimentary tea/coffee is available in the lobby, making it all seem like wasted and empty space. When I enquired about the coffee shop on our last morning there, I was told by the front desk that the staff for it had called in sick for two days running so they did not open it. This hotel also owns at least 2 vans which are prominently parked in front of the hotel but does NOT offer transport to/from airport, instead telling customers to take the Trax (a local tram) which costs $2.50 one way -- not a bad service or price but why sit the vans out front where we can all see that you just can't be bothered to offer transport as a service for your guests? With all the other hotels nearby for customers to choose from, this hotel has a long way to go to be competitive, starting with better customer service at Reception.

Checked in for a weekend stay as my wife had a training conference to attend at this hotel. Staff was very nice as we arrived very early before check in, they held onto our bags for us until our room was ready. When we got into our room there were certainly a few things that jumped out right away as you can see from the pictures I’ve attached. The desk chair was covered in some sort of sticky liquid. The blinds had a rip on them. The lampshade looked like it got in a fist fight, the sheets had some yellow stain on them, there was a huge hair on the bed, and the top of the dresser had severe water damage on it. Needless to say, we’re weren’t all that thrilled with our room.
Now some positives, huge TV, loved the size for a hotel room, it had a clean and cold fridge in the room, and the A/C and heat both worked extremely well.
Location is nicely located to the Utah Jazz Arena, and a couple of shopping malls. Indoor pool is a plus. Parking is $15/day.
Overall, we probably wouldn’t stay here again unless we had to. Too many cleanliness issues with our room and the in hotel dining was quite expensive for mediocre food.

Firstly the location is great, right on the rail line to the airport and next door to the arena and convention centre.
Now, unless you can sleep next to a freight train, don't even think about it. I was in a room with two queen beds and stayed in the bed furthest from the window, the air con was the loudest unit I've ever heard in my life, clunking on and off constantly. Every time I was just about asleep it would come back on. If i was in the bed closest I honestly think I would have hearing damage.
I first called the from desk at 1am to enquire about if this was normal, was told yes but they can change rooms or get maintenance, but all rooms have the same units. I left it for the night and eventually got a little sleep. Tired the next day I approached the desk and asked for maintenance, I only had one more night and didn't want to have to pack to move for a night. Was told again that all units are the same but they will have a look. I have no idea if they actually did or just know that nothing changes because all stuff seem to just acknowledge it and move along.
It got to the point where I was sitting in bed on my last night seriously contemplating changing hotels.
The hotel has a lot of airline staff through the doors, you'll learn all about their day when they arrive next door at midnight because the walls have the soundproofing of paper towel.
The bar and bar staff were very nice and accommodating, you may as well go see them for a few drinks to help you get through the night.
The elevator is another issue, they currently have a sign saying one is being replaced, but at any one time there is only one, maybe two lifts operating. In busy times you will wait a LONG time. Regular guests like airline staff will basically sprint if they see a lift open because they know the lift disappears into another dimension with no discernible return time once it leaves.
On check in and out there was no recognition of Radisson membership, even when booked directly through the company.
Stay somewhere else, it really is just horrendous value for money.
