This hotel is clean and the staff was friendly. We normally stay here when we fly out of SLC Airport. We love the rooms that adjoin because we normally have 2 rooms. The beds are amazing. We like that sink is outside of the shower so more than 1 person can get ready at a time.

The hotel is thru a business park. Rooms are in need of renovation with seams are showing in the carpet and non functioning electrical outlet in the "entertanment" center. Clear slime in the hand sanitzer. Breakfast was beak and without variety with srink wrap apples, bananas, prepack cereal bowls and plasticware. The room had actual wraped glassware but not downstairs. Ok they got the corporate memo. Now what are they going to do to lure back customers? It's all about value, appearence, and a hot breakfast. This one failed on all accounts. COVID was only excuse not a cause of lack of management vision of how to deal with the issue. I was expecting more as a Hyatt member.

We used the HP at SLC as our base for exploring SLC and area. Getting to the hotel was easy. We rented a car and HP is one exit from the airport itself. The hotel is in the middle of an industrial park area with little food/restaurant options nearby. Without a car, eating might be a challenge, but not an issue for us.
Like many HP properties, the hotel is newer and in great shape. The pool is indoors, and the exercise room was open 24 hours. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was limited, and will likely stay that way until COVID becomes a thing of the past. Jimmy Dean sausage biscuits, cold cereal, oatmeal some fruit and juice were about it. The hotel also has a very limited snack selection available for sale.
We like the design of the HP rooms. Normally do a great job of not wasting space. Our room had one king bed and an L shape sofa with a 3 foot divider between the two. A desk and fridge, this room also had a microwave (which reminds me, frozen meals also on sale in the lobby). Rooms also come with a coffeemaker, and this property had actual coffee MUGS, not paper cups!
One small difference at this hotel was the bathroom. The last few HP we have been in used sliding, pocket doors. Our room had a BIG conventional door. So big the door almost hit the toilet when opening and closing. And like most HP rooms, shower only.
It as in the 90s, and the AC worked just fine. Whew.
Only real problem was the hotel Wifi. We stayed two nights, and the wifi worked for maybe 4 hours total. If you need that, be wary, Hopefully it just needed a router reboot and no one brought it to the hotel's attention (including me, I did not inquire).
The hotel is very close to the airport, about 15 minutes from downtown SLC and right on I-80, giving you easy access in all directions.
If in the area again, would definitely stay here.

This particular Hyatt Place misses the mark on most aspects and as a Globalist Hyatt member, I think it’s fair to expect better and whoever manages this hotel needs to see that it happens. We won’t be staying at this property for the foreseeable future while it is the way that it is now.
Let’s get to the good because there isn’t a lot of it and will be quick. The Tesla chargers are a nice touch and I appreciate the availability of those. Parking was always a breeze and never an issue. The continental breakfast was fine for the most part. One of the mornings the bacon was sitting in a bowl of grease that was so foul that you couldn’t look at it without having an acne breakout.
The hotel rooms are fine. They are, for the most part, the Hyatt Place baseline. The issue we had is that the door locks are very much in need of a refresh to allow for the Hyatt app to unlock your door. For our most recent stay, we had yo get our key replaced three times as they just decided out of nowhere to stop working which was incredibly annoying and a massive issue when returning from a late night event with a 5 year old asleep in your arms.
This is the only Hyatt in the area that offers a free airport shuttle and while we didn’t have to use it this time, it sounds like it’s also less than a well oiled machine as from some people we were talking to, the shuttle did not show up on time for them when they needed it and they ended up needing to Uber to get to the airport. Again, we didn’t use it but sounds like that needs a look over again.
My biggest issue with this hotel is the staff. Housekeeping and the morning front desk gal just seemed like they did not care to be there which when you work in the hospitality business, it needs to be better.
Despite a call requesting it, housekeeping completely skipped our room on the second day of our stay. We returned back to our room at 10PM after being gone all day to find that our room had no towels, cups, nothing as our room failed to be serviced.
The next morning I called down to the front desk to inquire as to why and to request clean towels for the day and the gal I spoke to acted as if I was bothering her to get what we needed (more on her shortly) and after waiting for nearly an hour without the towels, I simply went out and found a housekeeping cart in the hall and took what I needed because it was clear she didn’t do anything to help us out.
Following my ninja stealth mission to procure some towels for my family, we went down to the breakfast area for the lackluster food and had to sit at a table near the front desk to eat and the entire time we sat there, the same front desk gal was having personal inappropriate conversations with someone on her phone that certainly was not something a 5 and 8 year old needed to hear. It was, to be frank, vile garbage.
This hotel has a few minor nice conveniences that other Hyatt’s in the region do not but as we move forward, the prevailing issues with this location will keep us far away and at the other properties in the area.
Please fix it.

While there is an on-site breakfast, this location is 10 mins drive away from food options for lunch and dinner. If you’ll be here for more than just a sleepover while waiting to fly out next morning, you better have transportation otherwise your eating microwaved crap from the front desk. Breakfast was “meh”. Service was “meh” room was comfortable.

I would recommend staying here if you are coming through SLC and need a quick overnight stay this is a great choice. The rooms were clean and they even provided earplugs for being so close to the airport (my room literally looked onto the runway), but I didn't mind the white noise of the planes coming and going. I found that the bed was firm, but not horrible, and the pillows were a little small, but they did the trick.
The staff were friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was totally adequate but won't knock your socks off.
I did realize after check-in that this location does NOT have a hot tub, which is clearly listed on the website, but I saw the pool in the photos and just assumed it did, so don't get your hopes up like I did in this area.
I came up for a ski weekend and chose this location because it was a little cheaper than staying downtown, but the 10 minute drive to the city was worth it. I don't think I would stay here again if I were doing anything more than a quick overnight, but for a person or family getting in late, or leaving early, I think this is a fantastic option.

Ian, thank you for recommending the Hyatt Place Salt Lake City Airport. We're glad to hear our clean rooms, noise solutions, and accommodating team members contributed to your overall satisfaction. We regret any confusion about our amenities, such as the absence of a hot tub. For uncomplicated stays or those with early departures, your endorsement is highly appreciated and we're pleased that you found us to be a cost-effective option. We would welcome another opportunity to serve you in the future.

The staff at the Hyatt Place is beyond outstanding! Sela, Rich, Mary Jayne & Josh consistently went above and beyond to make sure they provided a safe environment, and that generally, I was made welcome and taken care of during my stay.
The rooms are a great size, large vanity area, and the bed is incredibly comfortable. It was super convenient that the room had a fridge & a combo microwave/convection oven for cooking; plus a generous living room & desk area.
Can’t recommend this location enough!

Stayed here one night before a flight of SLC. For an airport hotel, it was just fine. The hotel was in the midst of a renovation during my stay; I was on a renovated floor, and it looked nice, with updated carpets and furniture. The room was a typical Hyatt Place room; everything was as expected.
Staff were welcoming. I had dinner in the lobby, and the food was good--a tasty salad and a beer. Prices for dinner were reasonable.
Location is convenient for the airport, and it was nice they ran a shuttle pretty much on-demand. There is almost nothing else near the hotel, however, besides other hotels, so don't plan on easy walking to dinner places, etc. Stay here for the airport and not much else.
Overall, just fine for what it is.

After an unexpected layover due to a delayed flight. I found myself in need of accommodations. Hyatt customer service was amazing and what I needed after dealing with airlines. In the winter I travel to Salt Lake area to ski and even though this is a bit farther access to ski areas, the staff and accommodations make it worth the drive. I will definitely consider booking a room here again.
The only negative was a bit of airport noise but then again no more than one night expect from location

The rooms are fantastic. The pool is small but very well maintained. The staff is excellent. There was a problem with our reservation and the staff worked hard to fix the problem. It is very close to the airport. Close enough that you hear every plane land. They provide ear plugs in the bed rooms but we did not need them. I liked watching the planes land with a close up view. Warning: There is no hot tub and they charge for parking.

There is an outdoor pool with chairs and tables.
Yes, we had one.
There is NO hot tub at this hotel. Their pool is an indoor pool and was of a comfortable temperature when our family visited in July 2016.
Yes, we allow dogs
Seems like a very new property. Very clean, modern and well maintained.
