Detailed Reviews
This room is the only one at both Salt Lake locations that has a shower that is not connected to the use of the jetted tub, but there is no lighting in the shower. We hung a flashlight and a headlamp from the curtain rod to have enough light to shower by. Also, rooms are not individually temperature controlled. Even after the difficulty of reaching the ceilings to close the vents, we had to put up with being too hot because other rooms asked for the thermostat to be turned up.
Other things to be aware of: minimum parking available, three floors and no elevator, fridges work great but the freezer portion does not keep food frozen, no microwave is available for guest use.

When I arrived I found I’d accidentally booked the wrong location and asked if there were rooms in this location I could move to. There were empty rooms, but the front desk guy told me I’d booked “3rd party” so there was nothing he could do. So off I went to the other location (glad I had a car) where the fireplace in the room I booked was broken. (I booked specifically to have a fireplace because I get very cold and need one.) The wonderful attendant, Joyce, said “no problem, let’s get you to our other location where they have a room with FP available.” Clearly the first desk agent just hadn’t wanted to deal with my issue. Other than that fiasco, the stay was very nice. An internet issue was resolved by Natalie who was my hero of the day for making it work. She made me feel like she truly cared and that made my day!

I visited for a quick weekend getaway with my wife. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was pretty good quality. The room was spacious and mostly comfortable. The noise insulation was a bit weaker as some loud vehicles going by on the street woke me up in the early hours of the morning.
One of the main reasons I picked the location and room that I did was for the fireplace that was listed in the advertisement. However, the fireplace was deactivated and couldn't be replaced due to some permitting issue with the city. While I can understand that, I don't think a fireplace should be included in the description for the room.

Wow, what a joke. The owners and/or managers here are cheap and rude. We booked a room here months ago. The day before our stay I received a call saying that they would be closed the next night and would need to move us. We were in the middle of traveling so when I heard the message I pulled off the road and called back. The person I spoke with was rude and completely unsympathetic to the fact that they were messing with my reservation just one day before my stay. I asked why the hotel was closing for ONE night and they said it was because they had only a few reservations for that night and therefore they were transferring those reservations to their other property. Isn't that the risk you take in running a hotel, that you might not always be fully booked???? And if YOU do decide to be cheap and close for one day you could at least be kind and sympathetic about it when speaking with your customers. Anyhow, I asked to be booked into the same themed room at the other property since that was the whole purpose of me booking this hotel to being with. Of course someone else was already in that room so I needed to pick something else. I told them that I was in the middle of traveling and that I would hang up with them, pull the rooms up on my phone RIGHT THEN and then call immediately back with my decision. So I picked what I wanted and called back to no answer. Tried multiple times and no answer. I left a message explaining again that I was in the middle of traveling and to please call back ASAP and to try another number since I would not be answering while driving. Of course it took them a very long time to call back and then called the wrong number when they did. So eventually we were able to connect but due to their terrible service we just cancelled our stay. Don't waste your time with this company!!!!!

Anniversary Inn South Temple
The massage oil I’d ordered for our stay wasn’t included in our package, even though I’d ordered it when I booked the room. There was no record of it even being ordered. The fireplace in our room didn’t work, and that was the entire reason we’d picked that specific room. We got charged for extra breakfast items both mornings, but never received the extra bacon we’d ordered. That happened two days in a row. Breakfast came 40 minutes early the first day. Luckily I heard the knock so that our food wasn’t sitting out in the hall for 40 minutes. Both mornings our food trays didn’t have covers, so the food was exposed to air/germs and didn’t have a cover to keep the food warm. Housekeeping unlocked and entered our room without knocking, despite the “privacy please” sign on our door. We asked for extra blankets as the room was cold and the two thin blankets on the bed weren’t enough, but the girl at the front desk was unable to locate extra blankets.
This was a very disappointing and expensive stay. Our room was not worth the $300 night and we won’t be booking here again. I cannot recommend this hotel at all.
We did get a $40 credit for the lack of a working fireplace, we got our $6 credited back to us for the lack of extra breakfast items that we’d ordered, and the manager agreed to let us check out a day early since the non-working fireplace was the entire reason we’d booked the room, but we decided to just stay the second night instead of checking out early. I appreciate that efforts were made to help rectify the situation.
We will not ever stay here again. The hotel needs to be updated, the tub looks old and dirty, the “electrical issues” with the non working fireplace should either be addressed or have the room heavily discounted. The girl at the desk said that their computer system had changed from the time of our booking to our stay so that the massage oil I’d ordered didn’t show up on our booking. The whole stay was disappointing. Not worth $300/night.

We stayed at the south temple location. We did a pre check in and said we would be there at 5:00. We came later at 6:45 and was told our room wasn’t ready and we had to wait 30 more minutes, finally getting to our room at 7:15. The room had zero sound proofing, hearing all the cars on the road next door. In the morning they brought breakfast and had a used salsa included with breakfast. Trying to leave there was a car parked behind us blocking us in. I had to go back in and the front desk said, “oh, that’s probably the housekeeper, I’ll have her move”. They sent me a survey and I let them know of the issues, with no one ever getting back to me. To top it off we used a gift card and had a zero balance on our invoice, and then 2 weeks later I noticed a charge of 217.00. Would never stay here again and would advise anyone else to save your money and stay somewhere nicer.

We have stayed at the Anniversary Inn for the last 5 years and this was the worst one. The fireplace was broken and we were never told about it, they had no one at the front desk to adjust the central thermostat so our room was freezing cold all night(from 10.30-8am), the berries in the parfait were frozen to the point of being inedible, and the check in lady was short tempered and almost rude. We informed the lady at check out and she said she would let the manager know and have the manager call us to further discuss our issues and what could be done to remedy it, and that has yet to occur(we checked out on Saturday. I'm writing this on Monday).

Service was above and beyond. There was cider chilled in my room upon arrival and the all inclusive breakfast was brought straight to our room. The rooms are charming and there has clearly been effort put into keeping things quality and fun. Rooms seemed to be pretty sound proof, moreso than any other inn or hotel I've stayed at. My only complaint is temperature. There is no AC and the windows do not roll down, it was very hot even in the winter time. There was a fan in the room, but I'd reccomend bringing an extra. Overall, I would say this is a fun treat for any couple to try. I was very happy with things and plan on coming back to visit every room theme.

The room was nice. I booked a room for one night in the Egyptian themed room. The ceiling was angled low and I felt like I was ducking the entire time. The bed was small and really really uncomfortable. My husband and I didn't get any sleep. Worse than sleeping on the ground while camping. A couple days later I found there were extra charges on my card. When I tried calling to talk to someone I couldn't get a hold of anyone and when I eventually did they disconnected the call. Absolute joke. Don't do it.

We booked the Mysteries of Egypt room as a Christmas present getaway.
Two weeks later they called to say that they had Overbooked the room and we would have to choose another.
We then selected Treasure Island suite.
The afternoon of the reservation they called to say they had overbooked again and they had another suite available.
On arrival it was not a theme room at all…. Just a regular hotel room.
What a huge disappointment for our Christmas present to be ruined.
