Definitely spend the extra $12 - 15 and stay elsewhere. We showed up after driving 15 hours and booking this room two days in advance. My partner went to check in and we were told there were no rooms because they were all dirty. She showed 'Steve' behind the desk the reservation and he said we didn't have one and all the rooms were dirty. I was called into the lobby by my girlfriend and asked what room we were in and was told there were no rooms because we had to book the room at the hotel and not from the website we booked it on, even though the reservation said 'non refundable' (I asked the guest next door to us and he said the hotel wasn't aware of his arrival either.) after being talked over several times by Steve I demanded he let me speak and I asked him how he would feel if he were in our situation. He quickly changed the subject then when I slightly raised my voice he banged on the plexiglass glass and told me to "shut my mouth" after a lot of unnecessary back and forth we were magically told we had a room. The room was not the one we booked. Upon entering the room I noticed there was a large square of carpeting cut out of the floor, holes on the wall in the bathroom, significant dirt and corrosion build up on the bathroom sink and several other issues. The website boasts "free hot breakfast" but upon entering the breakfast lounge I was yelled at and told not to enter, the room featured old appliances, extension cords and no food. The pool was also gross. Worst Hotel in Salt Lake. Furthermore all rooms were "dirty' even though there are about 50 rooms and only 11 cars in the parking lot. Also people permanently live at this hotel, and there are meth heads on the front lawn. There is also a $50 cash deposit that is not mentioned on the website. Definitely not a safe or fun place for families or and human who values respect or cleanliness.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at! Lets over look the nasty sheets, the lack of towels, the damaged room and the obnoxious nocturnal activities that occurred... in addition to that they would only give us one key- even though we had two queens (obviously 2 people) and even though we gave them a credit card they were knocking at the door at 9 am to kick us out. The manager seems to take pride in kicking people out of the room in the morning and when we complained he said :If you don't like it then leave!" Seriously,...spend the extra money and save yourself some grief!

First, these pictures do NOT depict the hotel at all. My Sister and I just stayed there this past weekend. It is VERY dirty, lot's of problems with the room, toilet, TV, telephone, bedding, and bath towels. The personnel did not speak English well, and did not understand our needs most of the time. Poor commuication. I chose this hotel because of the pictures on the web site.

Got into my room to fond one sheet and a blanket thinner than paper, heat was very noisy. Condom wrapper left on floor in front of dresser, I’ll be willing to bet my cat found it and drug it out. Very noisy at night.

This room smelled like smoke and mold. There was stains in our bedsheets and the carpet was dirty. I felt unsafe and thought I was going to get mugged. The elevator floor was so dirty that my feet stuck to it and it smelled horrible. This was the worst stay ever!!!!!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Bed and room were clean. Shower water couldn’t heat past lukewarm. Do NOT stay here if you have children—it just doesn’t feel like a safe area/environment. If you need a cheap place to stay solo within walking distance of Trax, this place may work for you.

Front desk staff was friendly and accomodating. Room was very clean and everything worked as intended. Carpet was clean, bathroom was spotless, sheets were clean. It was far better than I expected. But it IS an older motel and it's age is showing. a refresh is overdue. But the bed was very comfortable and it was quiet. I would book again.

This is a budget motel. Don’t expect bellhop service, etc.

The owners have done some cosmetic fixing up and the building is in pretty good repair except for the stairs, which they appeared to be getting ready to spruce up also. Otherwise, not bad.

Our room on the second floor had been recently painted, carpeted and caulked, etc., so it was more than fine considering the low price. There was a two-cup coffee maker, hair dryer and ironing board in the room. Separate heating/ac unit in each room. There is a TV with several cable channels. Also an alarm clock, of course.

The desk clerks were polite.

The bathroom was clean. No complaints about the maid service. The beds were made each day and new towels, etc. provided.

The free breakfast was about as basic as can be–coffee, a choice of cereal with paper bowls and plastic spoons, some white bread, a toaster, butter, jelly, and bananas. This is not a complaint. That’s about all I ever have at home anyway. I wasn’t expecting a sit-down with eggs and bacon–I am just pointing out what you get.

I had read about bedbugs at other SLC hotels (including a well-known high rate property), so I checked. The mattresses in our room were new and there were no signs of bedbugs. So no worries about that, at least in the room we had. (You may laugh at this, but this is becoming a big problem in the hotel industry, even at “luxury” hotels. You should educate yourself on this subject and check your hotel beds, no matter where you are staying)!

Convenient to downtown and easy access to the Interstate highways and ski resorts. But there is nothing much around this property in the way of restaurants, parks or tourist attractions.

There is a small pool, but we were there in early spring.

There is a computer in the lobby with internet access, which sometimes did not have a connection.

We were skiing at different resorts, so only needed a place to crash. We’ll probably opt for something a bit nicer next time, but this place is fine for a budget trip. I should point out that there were several construction workers staying there (no doubt attracted by the low rates) and the alarm clocks started going off at 5:00 a.m. each morning, then another at say 5:15, another at 5:30, etc. I guess the walls are not real thick.

Again, there is no way around this being a budget property. But it was nicer than what I expected.

I travel often. Most of the time I stay at a Hilton property as I am a long time Hilton Honors member. Sometimes I just need a cheap, low maintenance stay. I found this hotel on booking.com and the price point was perfect. I just needed a place to stay to sleep. Didn't need bells and whistles. Now, I have stayed at many places in this price point and usually you get what you pay for. I'm okay with that. This place however was not the case. At $40-whatever it was- I overplayed. The check-in process was taking forever. I didn't understand as I had payed in advance. The guy at the front asked for my credit card and then made a copy of it- I said "why do you need to make a copy of that"? And he gave me some crazy answer. Not impressed already. I asked for a ground floor room close to the entrance. The guy at the front told me it might not be possible because some guy who lives in the hotel gets upset. What?! It's just me and I'm quiet?! This is getting weird. I finally get to my room- disgusting. The sheets look like they haven't been changed in years. Everything was cracked, broken, terrible shape. The lighting was absolute garbage. The room was so cold and took forever to get to a normal temperature. I tried to take a quick nap before I had to go to dinner. I couldn't because of the blood curdling screams in the parking lot. At this point it was still daytime. I figured it was some isolated incident. Nope- I came back after dinner to sketchy people all over the property- one guy was painting the wheels on a car in the lot?! I went online to read more reviews and immediately packed my stuff and left without checking out. I was seriously terrified and just wanted to leave. I would never stay here again- do yourself a favor- spend $15 more and go somewhere you won't feel like your life is at risk.
