Detailed Reviews
Upon arrival we find young socker players loudly entrtaining themselves in the lobby. Not a good sign. We ask the clerk to give us a room away from the kids. She said they were scattered all over the hotel so there was no way we could avoid what would likely be a lot of noise. I asked for a different Marriott. With great reluctance she called one or two and no rooms were available. She did not take that step with any dedication. We took the room. We had no choice. A hotel should not rent out to the local socker league without telling other customers to not expect peace and quiet.
The TV did not work.
I would avoid this Marriott.

I travel extensively for work and run medical training seminars. The experience I have had this weekend, 11/13-11/15/20 has been excellent. Check-in was smooth; my rooms were ready and the items I had shipped to the hotel were available to me upon check-in.
The rooms we were using for the seminar were well lit, had all of the items we requested. The staff checked on us each shift to verify our needs were being met. All requests were met in a professional and friendly manner. Courtney was just wonderful on Saturday and Sunday morning!
The guest rooms were comfortable and clean. I will say that, overall, the property is clean but looking worn. I noticed that the chairs were dated and stained in the conference room, and the wallpaper throughout the property is dated. This is a small detail, as the care and comfort outweigh the aesthetics.
Thank you so much for helping us shine for our clients!

The hotel was very clean, and the rooms were up to date. The beds are comfortable and feel new. Waiting for drinks and food in the bar area could get to be a long wait, but everything was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. I did use the guest laundry. The machines were clean, but at $3 a load to wash and then $3 to dry, it was a little pricey.

This hotel will check out and check in guests to the same room same day despite the raging pandemic. The rooms have no access to fresh air, all making this very COVID unfriendly. Unless you plan to sleep in a mask, stay elsewhere.

Laura060, We are sorry to hear that you felt unsafe during your stay here. We follow all CDC guidelines for COVID safety, not only in regard to time between guests in the room, but also in regards to the time between check out and our staff entering the room to clean it. Our team additionally follows all cleaning guidelines as outlined by the Marriott Cleanliness Council, as the health and safety of our guests and staff remain a top priority during these unprecedented times.

Unreliable airport shuttle. The main reason I stayed there was for the shuttle and close proximity to airport. I imagine that’s the only reason anyone would stay at this hotel. I read the reviews for this hotel and others and chose this for their reliable airport shuttle. Unfortunately it proved not to be reliable. I was told to arrive at 4:30 am for my 6am flight. When I arrived at 4:20 (10 minutes early) the front desk told me, 2 other solo travelers and a family of 7 that the shuttle driver wasn’t answering his phone and they had no back up. Sorry. No ride to the airport this morning!
The other travelers and I had to scramble with uber and Lyft at 4:20 in the morning and figured this out in our own. Will never stay here again.

We do apologize that our courtesy shuttle did not meet your expectations. With us being an airport property in these unprecedented times, and having contracts with other properties, our shuttle can get very busy in the morning. We do plan on opening the shuttle running normal hours in the near future. Thank you so much for your honest feedback and we hope to see you again. Thank you for choosing to stay with us.

One night stay prior to our flight home after a week of skiing in Park City and this was a very nice property. It's located about 2 miles from the airport, they have an airport shuttle, rooms are newer, staff was really friendly and helpful despite a busy weekend hosting a volleyball group.
Booked 2 rooms, (1 with breakfast option) and they gave us a voucher for 2 hot items (breakfast sandwich + drink) or 2 cold items (like yogurt + coffee cake + drink). The gym was updated and had a good open space, 3 treadmills and a few other machines. The pool wasn't open due to maintenance but it's usually available indoors.
Only drawback is that there's nothing close to the hotel if you're looking for food.

We checked in around 4p-5p from leaving the Ramada due to the lack of cleanliness and overall condition. We were happy find something that was much nicer. I was traveling with my wife and three kids (two of them under 5) so you can imagine getting them settled in and unpacked can be time consuming. We noticed after settling in that the AC didn’t work properly, and after the facilities guy came up, we were informed it was not going to work and we had to move rooms. Slight inconvenience but things happen, and they moved us across the hall. We had an early flight in morning (5am) so we packed up quickly, settled in (again) and got the kids to bed. As I was laying in bed, I thought I felt something crawling on me but dismissed it thinking I was crazy. I ended up feeling it again and felt a bug on my stomach. Low and behold, it was a bed bug. I knew it was a bed bug because I’ve been in the industry for 15+ years and have had my fair share of these incidents over the course of those years so I know what they look like, and I also know it can happen. I put the pest in a Gatorade bottle and brought it downstairs. I requested a new room but the new room wasn’t like the first two. Not only that, we had to wake my 5 year old up from a dead sleep, pack up (again), and move down the hallway to another room. The new room really wasn’t a good room for us with three kids (didn’t have the sofa bed) and made it impossible to fall asleep to get up at 2:30 am for our flight. When I showed the Manager the bug in the Gatorade bottle, he didn’t really say much, but I didnt really ask for much. Again, I’ve been doing this a long time and know how this goes. I thought they would proactively refund/credit me and I would find this on the bill this morning. Unfortunately, this did not happen. I didnt fight it at check out but did ask for the managers information. They provided me with the name Markel and gave me the email address. I have emailed them and Marriott corporate and have heard absolutely nothing. I’m hoping you can find a resolution for me. I understand that some issues are hard to prevent (pests), but some are easy to prevent (AC on a housekeeping inspection). The inconvenience of moving twice (once with sleeping children) was hard to swallow at a $200+ price tag (for such a short stay).
Honestly, I really didn’t intend to write this review. I really didn’t. I was hoping that someone would reach out and communicate with me but perhaps that is not in line with Courtyard standards. When I have issues at my hotel, I address them immediately to make it right. It’s a shame you don’t.

Older courtyard that is showing some condition issues. Overall the property is clean but is having struggles in other areas. The first room I was checked into did not have a functioning HVAC unit and I was forced to change rooms immediately after check in. The second room I was given had a functioning HVAC but the temperature control in the shower was poor. It had to be turned just right to avoid having water drip all night. The shuttle service is great and convenient. I stayed here to be able to drop my car off a day early and avoid unnecessary charges. Unfortunately there is not a lot of food options around the hotel.

Your insights are appreciated. While it's encouraging to hear you found the property clean and our shuttle service convenient, we regret to learn there were concerns regarding room amenity issues and the variety of nearby food offerings. Please rest assured, we'll use your feedback as an opportunity to enhance our guest experience. We hope to extend a smoother stay in the future.

Overall probably not going back.
Pros: Pleasant staff, nice white noise generator that worked well, a nice working hot tub and reasonable soundproofing.
Cons: Cold showers in the morning, way less than enough electrical outlets (I had to unplug the fridge to use the desk light and the TV to use my computer, a surge protector would be very useful here), rooms were extremely dim with lights mostly below chest level making it hard to get work done, hard bed with thin pillows (a sign on the desk said new furniture was on the way but delayed), no breakfast, bar closes early and requires food purchase (basically a beer fridge would have been preferable).

Its in a quad in the center of the hotel. Pool is indoors and not a outdoor seating arrangement
Sadly not, and since the rewards programs merged, getting a human on the phone with Marriott is nearly impossible. Have been using the brand for decades but think I may be transitioning to Hilton.

Green River, Wyoming, United States32 contributions6 helpful votesWe will be flying out of SLC in November. A week later upon our return to SLC we are considering staying the night with you . Do you offer the park and fly and shuttle service where we would drop our car off and use the airport shuttle the day of departure, if we stay with you the night of our return or would we need to book a room for our day of departure in order to take advantage of the free parking and shuttle service? Thanks, Katie
"I would look into staying elsewhere in SLC and maybe not doing an airport location as there isn't much around to eat/shop."Read full review
