Detailed Reviews
This was a nice hotel. Nothing to special but the room offered a separate sitting area from the bedroom and included a fridge, microwave and stove. Regular shower/tub combo. The employees were friendly. The hotel shuttle to the airport was available on demand. The gym was a bit tiny and the pool was either broken or needed a good cleaning. The hotel was about 7 miles from downtown which is like a $15 Uber ride. No safe in room

Location near the airport is perfect (shuttle is a bonus), employees were extremely courteous and helpful. The rooms are great size, especially with the living room area, and everything was clean. Great stay!

❤️Love the Residence in Salt Lake City❤️
Left a horrible experience at another hotel where someone went through my belongings and took a significant amount of money so I left.
Residence Inn. Great experience, great staff and felt very safe. The minute you walk in it’s very clean updated with lots of natural light in the lobby. Great courtyard area with tables and grill, tennis, indoor swimming pool and well equipped gym.
Only down side is I have a service dog Medical alert not emotional support and both the young lady and her manager Insisted that this hotel charges for even service dogs I showed her that Marriott doesn’t and it’s part of the American Disabilities act and she said she would have to speak to her manager. I was charged $100 and I’ve been here two days and still no word from her manager.
Other then pet hiccup it’s a wonderful place to stay. The kitchen is well equipped and the room is very comfortable and spacious.

Worst hotel to stay at near the Salt Lake City Airport. It would be part of good customer service and satisfaction to inform guests and ensure that their stay is as comfortable as possible. However, it seems like this hotel (Aimbridge Hospitality representing Marriott Hotels) really does not care for their guests. I have been a Marriott Platinum member for over 11 years and a Marriott Rewards Member for over 16 years and this was the worst experience I ever had at a Marriott.
We visited Salt Lake City for our family Christmas vacation and even though we had many options, we chose to stay at this Residence Inn by the Airport because we thought this hotel was going to meet the needs of our family. Our experience at this hotel was horrible.
We received an email the night before we were departing on an 11 hour drive to Salt Lake City letting us know that they were renovating the hotel. In that email, we were told that the indoor pool and fitness center would be closed. If we knew ahead of time about the renovations we would have never booked our room here as we needed both of those amenities during our stay.
Also, we chose the Residence Inn for the convenience of the complimentary breakfast, however, this hotel didn’t have many options. They were very low on breakfast items on several days during our 8-day stay. On Christmas morning, we walked down to breakfast to find the counters completely empty and no staff available. Our children were left without breakfast on Christmas morning. A courtesy notice would have been nice so that we could have made other arrangements for our children. It was really difficult with long wait time for our family to get breakfast outside of the hotel.
Our room was not thoroughly cleaned before checking in, especially because of COVID. We found leftover items from previous guests in the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. My six year old daughter found a box of beer under the bathroom sink. Dishes were dirty and had to be washed before use. The bathroom sink was clogged upon our arrival. The dishwasher was filled with dirty water at the bottom. The remote was missing for the tv and needed to be picked up from the front desk. Any request we had for towels, garbage bags and other essentials, we were asked to go down to the lobby to pick them up ourselves during our entire stay.
We communicated our frustration with the front desk and asked them to have the general manager, Michelle Cotterell contact us. However, a week has gone by and we still haven’t heard from her.
We received an email from the assistant general manager, Taylor Collinsworth asking us to come back to stay with them, but when we contacted her twice and left a message with the hotel, we never heard back from her either.
It seems like Aimbridge Hospitality who manages this hotel, does not care about the customers or reputation of Marriot Hotels.
We encourage you to do your homework before staying here.

I know that we should not expect much of a residence Inn, but they failed on many basic levels. On Jan 1st the room service was not full service and actually they never showed up. We should have paid 1/2 fare also since they never told us. Breakfast ends at 9am! And they take everything down at 9am not a minute more! Not enough plates and the happy hour announced is simply not done!
The attitude in the front desk leaves to desire better.

This is a good place to stay in SLC after your flight in and before starting your trip touring Utah. Very clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable, but only a queen. I don’t think the configuration of the room would have handled the size of a king bed. Shower and toilet was separate from the sink area which helps two people efficiently get ready for the day. Shower was adequate, but not great. It was not a work trip for us, but the room had a nice sized desk and work area with plenty of outlets. Staff were friendly and competent. Not many restaurants nearby, but several within 5 miles or so. Breakfast was good with real plates, glasses, and cutlery!

We booked here on a recommendation from a friend who works at the airport. Clearly she has never been here because if she had I doubt she would’ve recommended it. First let me say the front desk staff was exceptional and the lobby looks nice and clean. That’s where it ends and we have only been here for 45 minutes. We had booked a studio room and when we opened the door the bed was a complete mess and there were towels hanging over the couch. We did not stick around to see if anyone was in the bed. Back to the front desk we went where again the ladies there were apologetic and gave us another room. There were no more studios so they upgraded us to a 1 bedroom. Upon entering there is a musty smell, the kitchen light is inop, there is a note on the table stating carpets had been cleaned today but I’m not sure what they were cleaned with because they still looks dirty. The furniture is very worn, the toilet had urine stains on it, the hallways are littered with full trash bags outside of rooms. It is almost midnight and if we didn’t have a tired toddler I would be finding another place. I don’t expect the Ritz Carlton but this place is a dive! Be warned if you stay here. The bad reviews are accurate!

Really nice, clean property close to the airport. Was undergoing some major renovations when I stayed, yet the whole property was nice and quiet. The beds were super comfortable and the breakfast spread was right on the money. It was a great place to stay before carrying onto Idaho the following day.
Only downside is that the airport shuttle is shared among a group of hotels and it took over an hour for the shuttle to pick me up from the airport because they were just so incredibly busy.

Are used to really enjoy staying at Residence Inns. The size of the rooms was nice. And the breakfast was very, very good. Understandably with Covid, breakfast was altered dramatically. Most hotels have gotten back to their typical breakfast. The breakfast at this residence inn was awful. Mostly prepackaged food plus one of those weird omelette things. I decided to eat elsewhere. My bathroom and bedroom were a bit small. Wont stay here again. Too many better options.

You take the shuttle to the airport and then ride Trax into the city to all the downtown attractions. This would eliminate the need to rent a vehicle
Usually ressidence inn are pet friendly and there is a pet fee. Please call the hotel to verify about their pet policy and the fee.
